Her previous position was at the Gray Rock Fortress, providing support with spell knowledge.
However, at that ti, she was just a mage apprentice.
With her command, array circles covered with magic power were activated.
A thin layer of light covered the weapons of the Night Watchers below.
By the ti Maxim and the elves arrived.
What they saw below was an open clearing that had already been cleared out.
The Night Watchers had dealt with many of the infected, turning the entire underground space into a battlefield.
"Comrades, fight!"
Without saying much, Maxim directly led the elves charging down.
Their training during this ti had paid off, and they no longer had their spirit drained as quickly as before under the gaze of the Void.
"Lurik, I’ll leave the overall command to you up here," Kana said with a smile to Lurik, while jumping down himself.
The others followed imdiately after.
Except for Shalika, who was clenching her magic staff, her body trembling with tension.
Lurik looked at her.
"These creatures aren’t any more terrifying than those cultists, are they?"
Shalika took a deep breath and nodded, waving her magic staff.
A faint purple, sowhat gray-white elental arrow was constructed by her.
"Shoot farther," Lurik reminded her.
Shalika nodded and waved her staff.
The elental arrow disappeared from sight instantly, moving so fast that it was impossible to react.
In a blink, the elental arrow landed amidst a group of enemies farther away.
An ear-piercing sound like shattering glass was heard, and three infected creatures were inexplicably cut into pieces and then turned to ash.
"See, your power is not weak."
Having received the blessing of the Stone of Creation, with spatial talent, when Shalika used the elental arrow.
The elental arrow unsurprisingly was imbued with spatial attributes, maximizing its attack power.
anwhile, in the battle below.
A dwarf shield warrior was suddenly knocked flying by a powerful force.
Kana happened to be not far behind him, stepping forward to catch the dwarf.
The dwarf’s shield showed no wear, though it’s hard to say how much hidden durability was left.
But the dwarf’s blood volu dropped by 5 points from just one hit—this was with shield protection.
"Ah!" A scream ca from the breach.
The two teammates next to the knocked-away dwarf were also hit by a huge force and sent flying.
They weren’t as lucky as the dwarf; their armor was breached by the attack.
Kana looked over.
A larger Void Combat Beast, which likely originally had a quadrupedal form.
With bent claws and spiny limbs, it had a blade-whip-like tail extending from its back.
The head still retained the triangular structure typical of combat beasts, but two tentacle-like spiny whips extended from its back.
Seeing it wanted to continue attacking, Kana sharply whipped a blood-ford rope that wrapped around the beast’s head, yanking it back forcefully.
The beast’s massive body was forcibly dragged over by Kana, carving a distinct trench in the ground.
Halfway through the yank, the beast’s limbs embedded firmly into the soil, halting the pull.
Kana pulled fiercely once more.
The beast fell to the ground as Kana flew forward with montum.
A fierce kick landed on the beast’s head, smashing it into the earth.
The Warrior’s Sword in his hand pierced through the gap, eliciting an ear-piercing scream from the beast.
Before its death, the blades on its back ca towards Kana’s waist like two sharp swords.
But they were directly severed by Kana’s Prince’s Sword.
The wound sprayed out a violet fluid with a faint glow, like blood.
A single swift strike, and the beast was killed on the spot.
Suddenly, the sound of wind ca from the side, and Kana rolled on the spot.
A tallic hemisphere crashed over; this was the spherical puppet Kana always kept ready nearby.
A humanoid combat beast charged over, its arms like two sharp long spear spikes.
It was extrely fast; Kana felt that this combat beast must be level 5.
And it possessed so intelligence, directly homing in on the relatively threatening Kana.
It advanced from sowhere, trying to launch a surprise attack.
Spikes and claspers appeared on the spherical puppet that collided with the enemy.
Firmly gripping the beast’s shoulder in place.
Kana rolled over and swung his sword mightily upward.
But the beast evidently had a decent combat awareness, crossing its crystalline spike arms to barely fend it off. Still, Kana’s imnse power sent the beast retreating several steps.
Pressing the attack, Kana delivered a reckless kick.
The powerful force of his legs kicked against the crossed arms, sending it flying.
It was kicked through an opening, rolling into a lee with the infected trying to break in.
"Boom!"
The sound of an explosion rang out.
The breach was instantly cleared of enemies.
The combat beast and surrounding infected turned to ash together.
"That spherical puppet of yours explodes?"
Getai, passing by, couldn’t help but exclaim.
Standing up, Kana dusted himself off with a smile: "What else? This way it catches them by surprise."
