This area has already been occupied by temporary tents and shabby huts.
Here lies the refugee camp.
On the narrow paths between the tents, dust clouds cover what used to be the color of dirt.
The frail figures of children dart among them, while adults busy themselves under the scorching sun, trying to find hope for survival in the barren land.
A faint stench perates the air, a mixture of gri, the sll of disease intertwined, and so bloody odor.
Among the soldiers behind Prince Cohen, so couldn’t help but cover their noses; the stench here was unbearable for them.
You could see more of the disdainful look from others directed at the refugees.
The Night Watchers, many of them could clearly see refugees within the camp that seed afflicted by disease.
Most of the refugees were very frail, dressed in tatters and filthy clothes.
As Kana and his group walked toward the gates, the refugees stared.
There was envy and pleading in their eyes, but more so, numbness.
"Why doesn’t this country treat and settle these people?" One of the two elves following Kana, Lululuse, couldn’t help but ask.
Kana did not answer, but Bobo interjected with an explanation.
"Of course, there are too many, too many people here, several tis more than the people in the city.
Half of this country’s territory has been fallen, and it has been nearly half a year. The entire nation is already experiencing a food shortage.
The city’s residents themselves are barely getting enough to eat, how could they possibly spare their food for these refugees?"
Lawrence, walking ahead, looked around.

These refugees were once citizens of this country, but now they’ve lost their hos and everything they had.
Lawrence looked at the expression in their eyes.
He wanted to rember this vividly.
The hand holding the reins tightened more and more.
[Kana: George, send a squad of Night Patrol to infiltrate the refugee camp. There’s definitely a large number of cultists in there.
And let them see if there are any suitable talents who might be willing to join the Night Watchers.]

Imdiately, a squad of Night Watchers erged from the Cohen Kingdom’s refugees and left the group.
All the way, they observed the surroundings as they entered the city.
Things improved sowhat once inside.
But compared to so prosperous cities, the atmosphere in this city remained gloomy.
Outside, it was almost filled with refugees, and there wasn’t much food left.
They proceeded all the way to the castle.
Alicia led Kana and the group into a reception room.
After seating, Alicia spoke directly: "Since half of Cohen Kingdom’s territory fell, a great number of Blood Race cultists invaded.
In most cities within the remaining half of the territory, the belief in Evil Gods has surged, causing various chaos.
There are too many cultists, even though most within the Church have started to take action, they are still overwheld."
She looked at Kana: "Like now in Lubeck, this small city has borne the weight of too many refugees.
It’s triggering conflicts, cultists are thriving here, several cultists worshiping different Evil Gods have gathered in this place."
After hearing Alicia’s words, Kana nodded slightly and then said: "You an, you are extrely short of manpower?"
Alicia nodded: "The Holy Light Church, there aren’t many troops in Cohen Kingdom.
During the peaceful tis when Cohen Kingdom hadn’t faced problems, although the royal family maintained good relations with the Church, most of the nobles didn’t favor the Church’s presence.
This led to each church within the kingdom being prohibited from having too much military strength."
Kana wasn’t surprised by this.
After all, this is indeed a world with extraordinary powers, and the Church does possess the power of the Holy Light.
Having the power of Holy Light ans the mbers of the Church will surely be people who have positive beliefs.
They won’t collude or compromise with the nobles.
This would lead to the Holy Light betraying them, then being judged within the church.
Alicia looked towards Lawrence.
Noticing, Lawrence coughed: "The Kingdom’s troops aren’t plentiful either, most of them need to be stationed on the Snake River border.
No one can guarantee when those monsters across will charge over."
Alicia sighed: "Now a deadlock has appeared, half of the territory has fallen, and there are too many refugees.
Almost no good strategies can be devised to cope."
"Then why not guide these refugees out?" Bobo couldn’t help but ask.
If they couldn’t endure it themselves, then guide the refugees out, they would naturally head to different places and not necessarily in Cohen Kingdom.
When war erupts, the refugees within the warring country usually flee to other countries.
Having so many refugees stay here is not a normal phenonon; there must be soone doing this deliberately.
Alicia glanced at Bobo.
"The nobles would not allow so many people to leave; they still need people to cultivate the land they’d reclaim later."
Upon hearing this, Kana looked at Alicia: "So the Church is taking action?"
