Blue Sky Harbor.

The harbor city has now fallen into chaos.

The sounds echoing through the city are those of battle and heartbreaking cries.

A house on the street.

The windows and doors were violently flung open, and rats poured out like a stream.

"Steal things! Steal things!" a rat squealed sharply.

"It’s robbing! It’s burning! It’s killing!" another rat corrected.

Their fur was dull, and they wielded various seemingly ragged weapons.

Broken wooden sticks, rusty knives, makeshift long spears with daggers tied to them.

These ford the primary weapons of the rats.

"Rats, this city is ours!"

A giant rat commander, swinging a slightly more refined weapon and clad in tattered armor, declared from the top of a streetlamp, his voice stuttering and disconnected.

The rats below surged like a tide, sharply echoing his words.

"Get lost!"

A sowhat rugged human male swung the table leg in his hand, striking rats trying to get close.

A strange mixture of fear and anger allowed him to crush the head of a rat with a single blow.

The corpses of several rats lay around.

Which drew more rats to surround him.

Finally, another rat leapt at him, only to be struck down with a single blow, but more rats followed, clawing at the man.

Their sharp claws and teeth bit without hesitation.

Amidst the screams.

He was overwheld.

More helpless people could only scream in terror amidst the rat tide.

The guards in the city were organizing a resistance.

"Form ranks! Stand firm, these rats are cowardly and gutless, kill them fiercely!"

A captain of the soldiers shouted.

The guards around him also attacked the surging rat tide madly with their weapons.

Besides the guards, there were also civilians with so combat skills or rcenaries from other places present.

These city’s guards often dealt with the ratn, a relatively common and rampant disaster on this continent.

Never had there been so many as today.

"There are too many, boss! They’re too many!"

A soldier, sweating profusely, couldn’t hide the fear on his face.

Even though they often fought rats, they had never faced so many.

The streets in front of them, the houses around, and the walls all crawled with ratn.

They were timid yet shrieked sharply.

Even though they seed hesitant to advance and attack, the sheer overwhelming numbers daunted them.

"Don’t be afraid, hold on a bit longer, reinforcents are coming soon!"

Though the captain had no idea what reinforcents were coming.

"Rats! Attack!"

A giant rat commander jumped onto the roof, shouting loudly.

As the commander’s voice rang out.

He kicked the rats on the roof out.

Instantly, five or six rats were kicked flying, landing directly in front of the enemy.

This gave the rats an illusion of beginning the attack without waiting for orders.

Instantly, rats sward up.

"Whizz!"

A sharp arrow was shot.

The giant rat commander, who had been shouting, was imdiately pierced through the head. The arrow left a portion protruding from both sides of his head.

The rat’s corpse fell, sliding off the roof and hitting the ground.

The captain across the way keenly noticed this scene.

"The boss of the rats is dead, attack! Attack!"

And the rats clearly noticed this too, exposing the cowardice and weakness they should have.

And this ti, there was no one to oversee or force them.

While the guards in the city, though not blessed with much combat experience, had substantial experience in exterminating rats.

They often acted this way, but just hadn’t had the opportunity earlier.

Now that the enemy boss was dead, it was the perfect ti to counterattack.

Their skill in exterminating rats invigorated their morale, allowing them to push back against the teeming rat tide.

Not far away, a Night Watcher on a rooftop reflected on the scene.

"I don’t even need to remind them? It seems the soldiers here have a lot of experience. Perhaps guiding them won’t be so difficult."

Upon entering the city from the harbor.

They all received warnings from Kana and Bobo on how to quickly disperse the rat tide.

Take out the enemy; the one that looks most like a leader.

The enemy will break apart on its own.

More Night Watchers could be seen, scattered throughout the city, running everywhere.

The rats along the way had been almost completely cleared.

Then ca the dispersal of the black fog on the map, which lit up the map, allowing the situation of the city to be fully observed at the scouting Night Watchers’ focal points.

...

The actions of these Night Watchers should be traced back to ten minutes earlier on the sea.

Kana’s ship did not head towards the harbor navy’s vessel; instead, it headed directly for the harbor.

Upon seeing a rat fleet attacking, Kana already had a bad premonition, thinking that simply landing at the harbor might save ti faster.

Facing the chaos at the harbor.

The Night Watchers directly leaped from the deck, rapidly executing their cleanup.

By the ti the navy flagship docked, the harbor had been completely taken over by Night Watchers.

What remained were nurous rat corpses and vigilant harbor patrol soldiers.

A middle-aged man dressed in simple armor and wielding a sword hesitated.

He sighed in relief upon seeing the navy flagship arrive.

Hurriedly joined the general who disembarked.

Asked, "Who are they? Friend or foe?"

The general couldn’t be sure, saying only, "They helped us destroy the rat fleet at sea."

"Can we get them to help us too?"

This official was the harbor’s Civil Servant, already witnessing the group’s prowess.

The rats weren’t exactly strong, but these individuals storming into the rat throngs seed overly powerful.

"Go and see." The general could only say so.

Such a large ship docked at this dium-sized harbor was indeed conspicuous, not to ntion the ship’s peculiar appearance and abundant steel structures.

The emblem on it was unfamiliar, originating God knows from where.

Watching those disembarking from the ship.

Everyone’s eyes sharpened, first seeing the Elf upon the first glance.

"It’s the Secular faction." The Civil Servant imdiately recognized them.

"It does seem so, lacking that arrogant deanor."

Before even engaging, they identified which faction these Elves belonged to.

Within Elf society, there might be various factions, but to other races, particularly those frequently interacting with Elves.

Elves could mostly be distinguished into Secular and Aristocratic factions.

Secular faction ans lacking that typical Elven high-nosed arrogance.

Such Elves were easier to interact with, having longer-lived among other races and undergone change.

Their attention then couldn’t help but be drawn to the exaggerated blade behind Kana.

It’s hard not to be drawn to it; it was exceptionally eye-catching.

Then they imdiately noticed Kana, realizing he seed to be the leader.

A human.

Followed by various races, including Elves.

Such a scene was rare to behold.

The general stepped forward before Kana, speaking a bit humbly: "We thank you for your help at sea, but as you can see, our city is currently in turmoil.

We are unable to provide any assistance or service, the intruders..."

Kana raised a hand to stop him.

"No need for lengthy discussions, I do not wish for this city to be dominated by these vile rats.

We wouldn’t be able to acquire supplies, nor anyone guaranteeing the safety of our ship, correct?

No one likes a place riddled with sharp-eared rats everywhere.

Why don’t we lend you a hand in clearing these intruders first."

He gestured.

The Night Watchers behind swiftly took action.
