Alyris took a deep breath and slowly reached out her hand, which was trembling with tension.
Bobo suddenly widened her eyes as she noticed a problem and hastily mouthed a warning.
But Alyris was too nervous to hear, having already closed her eyes.
Kana, who was lost in thought, suddenly felt a cold tallic touch on her hand.
Looking over, she saw a hand wearing chain armor gloves resting on her own.
Following this hand, she saw Alyris dressed in full body armor, her expression flushed with nervousness.
"Is it... is it any better?"
"Huh? What?" Kana was montarily stunned.
Seeing Kana’s puzzled look, Alyris bit her lip and suddenly closed her eyes.
She rushed forward and hugged Kana tightly.
Watching this scene, Bobo was already in despair, covering her eyes, unwilling to see more.
"Hiss~" Kana couldn’t help but grimace a bit from the pain.
Because Alyris was wearing full body armor at that mont.
"Now... how about now?"
Kana finally understood Alyris’s aning and suddenly broke into a smile.
The smile turned into laughter.
"Hahahaha..."
Kana’s laughter made Alyris want to disappear into a crack in the ground.
She had let go and was holding her head with both hands because she realized sothing was amiss.
Her head was jabbing against herself as she held it.
Ahhh, Alyris, what are you doing! And Bobo, you deceitful rat!
She scread internally, her thoughts in chaos, feeling incapable of thinking.
Alyris wished she could strengthen her body and just dash out of the tent.
Kana finally stopped laughing and looked at Alyris, finding her exceptionally adorable.
Unable to resist, she reached through the gap and pinched Alyris’s hidden face.
"Don’t be shy, it was effective, I’m better now."
"Really?" Alyris’s face was still blushing furiously, but she looked up and asked.
Before he could respond, a silhouette suddenly burst into the tent.
"Your Highness! Not..."
George, about to call out, froze, the situation in the tent wasn’t right, and he was shocked into silence.
Kana, however, calmly turned and asked, "What’s wrong?"
George snapped back to reality and exclaid in horror, "It’s bad! The retreating troops have been caught up!"
"What?" Kana was a bit shocked.
Without thinking much, she rushed out imdiately.
Alyris followed closely behind.
Upon rushing out, they saw Blake hurrying over.
"Your Highness, the pursuers have caught up, the Count’s forces are engaging them in the town!"
"Quick, prepare the horses, get ready, I’ll go give the orders."
After issuing orders, Kana hurried to the riverbank.
She spotted Jonel’s adjutant and rushed up to shout, "Quick, notify everyone to board the ships, the enemy is upon us."
And then, shouted from a distance toward the rman prophet at the riverbank not far away, "Prophet! Prepare, get your people ready, we’re leaving at any ti!"
The rman prophet nodded.
After speaking, Kana turned and ran back, and Blake and the rest were already prepared.
Their faces were also full of urgency; the enemy had co too fast.
Looking at the ready horses, and then at George and Bobo, Kana said to the two, "You two, board the ship now."
Bobo nodded; she wasn’t pretending to be strong and knew she wouldn’t be much help in a real battle.
After all, she only knew so magic tricks, which were enough to fool ordinary people but of limited effect in true combat.
George opened his mouth but was silenced by a glare from Kana.
"Yes."
He accepted the order with a nod and ran to the bank with Bobo.
"We need to pick up the pace."
Kana said as she mounted a horse, the two war horses which had been helping in the camp seed to sense the upcoming battle.
Whether nervous or excited, they pawed the ground.
Riding out, Blake and three others, along with Kana, made a total of five knights charging toward the town.
On the way, they already saw many townsfolk running to the rear.
These were able-bodied n, who had stayed to assist the Count’s forces in retreating last.
Continuing forward, they saw injured being transported to the rear.
At this mont, Kana could already sll the blood scent wafting wildly from afar.
A mix of blood odors conveying various information.
Kana was contemplating the current situation.
Though unexpected, he wasn’t surprised.
In the storyline, the Count was supposed to battle the enemy forces tomorrow, with a pyrrhic victory before retreating.
But today, seeing the Count preparing to retreat, the enemy was clearly hot on their heels.
Originally, the Count’s forces retreated decisively, certainly catching the enemy off guard.
Yet they still caught up, observing the retreating injured and able-bodied townsn.
This ant the Count was making a defensive retreat, the enemy forces not having overwhelming superiority.
In the original plot, with the battle supposed to occur tomorrow, this situation seed unlikely, as there were thousands of players assisting in the narrative.
