[Sergio: Maxim! Pointy ears, why aren't you here yet? Even though I got lost at sea, I still made it.]
[Maxim: Don't rush, I'm already moving as fast as I can. The troops are assembling, we're close by, and it shouldn't take long to get there.]
[Sergio: Well, hurry up, I can't wait to break through these rats' defenses, I want to take a good look at that exaggerated black wall.]
[Vainsha: You guys still have the chance to see it with your own eyes. I'm just unlucky. Listening to the Night Watchers' descriptions, it really makes itch inside.]
Vainsha had always stayed in the Eastern Wilderness. As one of the key council mbers, soone had to remain to guard the Eastern Wilderness.
After all, regarding the Tower of Trials—this most important masterpiece since the establishnt of the Night Watchers—what Night Watcher wouldn't feel curious?

The casual chat in the channel did not affect the intense combat situation at the frontline of the United Army.
#### United Army Second Legion, New Occupation Zone Defense Point
"Whoosh!"
A sharp whistling sound ca from the sky.
Various projectiles mixed with filth, rocks, and bones were thrown from the sky, carrying a powerful evil force, smashing hard against the city wall.
The newly built city wall was instantly indented, and the evil forces quickly spread and corroded outward, another breach appeared.
"Hold the line! Guard that breach, don't let these damn rats break in!" shouted the Night Watcher commander.
Next to the breach, the soldiers of the United Army who were thrown to the ground by the prior impact, if they had any strength left, scrambled to their feet, picked up nearby shields, and charged towards the breach.
Andel also struggled to stand up, grabbing an unknown helt from the ground and putting it on.
He then drew a long blade from sowhere, swung around, and slashed forward fiercely.
A rat, attempting to leap over a friendly shield into the city, faced the incoming blade mid-air, stunned, unable to dodge or escape.
With a single blow, Andel killed it, then bent down and picked up a slightly damaged shield, and swung it upward with force, sending another rat flying away.
However, yet another rat lunged from the side, directly clinging onto him, the massive impact nearly causing him to fall.
Andel quickly stepped his left leg forward, struggling to stabilize his stance.
He was about to reach out and grab the rat on him, but then two more rats attacked, pulling from different directions, instantly dragging Andel to the ground.
These rats acting as cannon fodder did not have sharp weapons, they attacked Andel from all angles, hitting the armor with loud banging sounds.
But the armor could not protect the entire body, blades still pierced through the gaps and exposed parts into his body.
"Ah!"
The intense pain made Andel scream, the extre agony made him unusually furious.
He grit his teeth, enduring the pain, and extracted that weapon-holding hand from the rats' entanglent, firmly grasped a rat's head, and forcibly pulled it off him, smashing it hard onto the ground.
"Bastard, die!"
But just then, a sharp knife stabbed into his neck, straight into the collarbone, the blade twisting within the wound.
A large amount of blood gushed out.
"Hahaha, this human is dood!" laughed the rat bouncing on him after delivering the fatal blow, its sharp laugh piercing the air.
The reaction force from the rat's movents made Andel fall to the ground again. By now, he could no longer shout, only instinctively covering the wound at his neck, with blood constantly flowing from his mouth.
The shadow of death quickly enveloped him.
"Get off!"
A figure appeared like a phantom, kicking the rat flying. With the height it flew, the rat was clearly dood.
Following that, the person punched another rat, sending it flying as well.
A warrior in armor half-kneeled beside Andel.
Andel recognized him, a Night Watch Captain responsible for commanding nearby. His eyes widened, but he could not speak, only emitting muffled sounds, more blood pouring from his mouth.
"Don't speak, Andel, I will save you." The Night Watch Captain frowned, reaching out to directly pull out the knife from Andel's body.
Instantly, blood spurted out like a fountain.
A strange power surged into Andel's body; although pain remained severe, the oppressive feeling of impending death inexplicably vanished.
"Cough, cough! I... what's this..." Andel looked bewildered, coughing up blood, yet unexpectedly able to make sounds.
Before he could react, a potion was poured into his mouth.
"All right, you're now a Preparatory Night Watcher. Grab your weapon and kill those rats. Kid, it's all thanks to your outstanding performance before."
The Night Watch Captain stood up, patted Andel, then directly bypassed him, charging towards the breach, shouting and slaughtering rats madly.
Andel stood up in a daze, the pain still there, but the wounds seed not to affect his movent.
"So... is this what becoming a Night Watcher feels like?" he muttered to himself.
As mbers of the United Army fighting alongside Night Watchers, they had long known various characteristics of the Night Watchers.
No United Army soldier didn't aspire to beco a Night Watcher, Andel had heard that on the battlefield, so outstanding United Army mbers were temporarily promoted to Night Watchers.
He just didn't expect to receive this honor when on the verge of death.
"What are you daydreaming about?! Andel, hurry up and block the breach!" The shout from a comrade woke him from his thoughts.
This was an intense battlefield! Andel quickly grasped his weapon, charged towards the breach.
At this mont, the magic barrier in the sky could hardly withstand attacks.
Occasionally, a magic bullet shot into the sky, hitting the stones thrown by rats.
But the rats' projectiles rained down, once again creating several breaches in the city walls.
"Roar! For the tribe! Charge!"
A group of barbarian warriors dressed in wild attire charged out from the rats' ranks.
"Who are these guys?"
"I know, rumor has it they were captured from other continents as Evil God Followers, known as the Barbarian Race!"
"Watch out, they're not as easy to deal with as the rats, everyone stay alert!"
The sudden arrival of these barbarians took the United Army sowhat by surprise. They directly charged towards the breach openings on various walls.
Frontline command post
"Those barbarian tribes that retreated from the northern passage have fled here, the front line will probably not hold!"
"Commander, should we arrange a retreat? We can organize resistance at the third line of defense."
The Night Watcher referred to as the commander rubbed his temples.
Just then, a ssage arrived from the channel.
His previously worried face quickly revealed a smile.
"No need to worry, the Night Watchers who were reassigned are back, and they're now even stronger."
