The Void Rift opens.
Composed of flesh and purple crystal, the war beast—Void Combat Beast—brings imnse battle pressure to everyone.
These creatures, seemingly born for war, have extrely sharp parts all over their bodies, achieving a perfect balance of speed and power.
No wonder they beco the most nurous entity in the Void army, almost epitomizing the perfect soldier.
If it weren't for Yorndaren and others who had fought in places like the Void Pit and were fully aware of the strategic weaknesses and behavioral habits of Void creatures, they might have already been defeated.
Several arrows pierce the air, shooting at different parts of a few battle beasts from various tricky angles, instantly penetrating and precisely destroying their core.
The simplest and quickest thod to kill Void creatures is to launch a deadly attack for piercing, breaking through their hidden core.
This requires a certain feeling, and with identification abilities, the more acute this feeling is, the easier it becos to find their weaknesses in an instant.
This thod was provided by Kana and recorded in the handbook that every Night Watcher must master.
Tyr barely managed to pierce through a charging Void Combat Beast with his attack, panting heavily as he said, "When I get ho, I must hang the leader's portrait in my hall." At this mont, he has several wounds on his body, and they are not healing.
If it were other creatures not blessed by Night Watchers, a single wound would be lethal.
But Night Watchers confront this with datafication power and can remove hidden dangers afterward with specialized potions.
"I can hardly hold on, Captain, if you don't think of sothing, you'll have to bring my corpse back!" exclaid Tyr, weary from battling.
Yorndaren did not respond, only frantically drawing his bow and shooting arrows.
Anger also fought hard, sweat covering his forehead. The battle against Void creatures is entirely different from fighting Chaos Forces, and at this mont, he deeply understands why the [Void] is seen as the ultimate threat bringing apocalypse.
"You still have the mood to joke, why not concentrate on thinking about how to survive?" Bi'an said while shuttling through the shadows, leaving a sentence before disappearing again. When he reappeared, he was beside Vier, swiftly clearing the surrounding infected before taking her into the shadows, delivering her to a safe location so she could continue casting spells.
The pressure is increasing, everyone's blood volu has reduced to less than half, and one-third of them have their blood volu cap unrecoverable.
This is the mark left by Void scars on them, if they're not removed with special thods and potions, even with dataficated bodies, they cannot fully recover their blood volu. Because Void damage deducts the blood volu cap.
While fighting focusedly, Yorndaren constantly pays attention to his teammates' situations, having already considered withdrawal.
Though it's unclear why the number and speed of these Void Combat Beasts rushing out aren't high, they are still opponents that the team cannot drag on with for long.
Continuing to stall would lead to inevitable annihilation if a withdrawal plan isn't quickly devised.
Just then, a peculiar sound spreads through the air, heavy hoofbeats accompanied by a biting cold wind.
The hoofbeats co closer, the sound more dense, as if a legion is marching, and the cold wind becos increasingly fierce.
However, this does not make Yorndaren and others more tense, instead, they all breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that strong reinforcents have arrived.
A shadow-like presence descends from the sky ahead of the hoofbeats, it was a throwing spear.
This airborne attack, like a missile, creates a semicircular energy zone upon landing, which then begins to contract. All objects within the zone are instantly crushed and collapsed, quickly clearing a blank area for a mont's respite.
Next, with a scream from above, a Winged Dragon descends from the sky.
Covered with ghostly green bones like a soul, it lands and sweeps through like a whirlwind, cutting again to clear a space before swiftly taking off again, avoiding the subsequent attacks.
The hoofbeats are now almost at hand. The knight shadows ford by ghosts pass through everyone, causing just a tingling chill but no harm at all. Yet those Void creatures the shadows pass through seem to lose all vitality, standing still.
Everyone now finally understands why other [Soul Guardians] always appear with dazzling special effects each ti. After all, the first and most famous Soul Guardian team always showed up with the sa effects.
It's no wonder Raelia and her team have to do this since every ti support was needed, it was an urgent and crucial mont.
They have to prepare large-scale attacks before arriving on the battlefield to strive to gain so advantage for the allied forces, allowing them a breather at the onset.
Almost every ti it was like this, so over ti, such attack preparations beca their habit and gradually ford their unique entry special effects. Naturally, later other teams would imitate this entry style.
"Well done, you can think of a team na for yourselves when you get back." Raelia's voice is heard, but her figure doesn't linger, crossing all Void Combat Beasts like a shadow, directly targeting a Void Reverser among them. Before the opponent could react, her lance had already penetrated its body, piercing its core.
A fine line of black turbid fire transforms, piercing another Powerful Fighter guarding by the Void Rift.
The two "Gatekeepers" die instantly, but they seem bound to this rift. Upon death, their bodies and remaining fragnts don't turn to flying ash as usual but attach as constructs to the rift. In that fleeting mont, the rift expands directly into a Gate of Void standing there.
"The level of this door is increasing, damn! The forces of this world are being cleared out, the world barrier is almost completely breached."
This ans that after intruders die, they leave corpses behind, and while battles still yield experience, the battlefield will no longer be cleaned like before. Moreover, these corpses might retain so latent power, potentially allowing the enemy to exploit it for attacks.
Just like now, the dead Void creatures are enhancing that door.
As Abis tries to quickly perform a simple seal with her power, a surge of Void power erupts from the door, instantly blowing Abis away.
Raelia ignores Abis, instead, her gaze remains tightly locked on the door, her entire being entering a highly alert combat state. Because she senses sothing powerful is about to erge from the door.
