Faced with the chiefs' confusion.
The white-feathered birdman explained, "Because the Night Watchers are withdrawing, the Night Watcher teams scattered across the continent are boarding ships to Lebia Continent. This ti is different from the last ti; they are almost all leaving, only leaving the basic personnel needed to keep their tavern operations going."
The so-called last ti refers to when the Tower of Trial was established. At that ti, Night Watchers also sent a large number of personnel to Lebia Continent, but those left behind were enough to keep each Night Watcher node running.
"Why? Haven't the Four Gods' forces already left there?" Everyone knows this information.
In response to this question, the birdman just shook his head helplessly, "I don't know, but more speculation might be that the Night Watchers want to end the Ratman disaster once and for all. However, according to the information from the front lines, the Night Watchers are still in a stable standoff at this stage."
As he spoke, he thought for a mont and added, "I sought advice from the Sword Saint, and the conclusion was that if you want to eliminate the rat population, you have to face the Evil Rat—that is an Evil God about to ascend to divinity. Perhaps the Night Watchers want to eliminate it before it ascends."
"Shouldn't we send more support? If the Evil Rat ascends, it wouldn't be good for us."
"We've already sent more support, but if we need to transfer more troops, we'll need the chiefs' assistance."
It turns out he was waiting for them here.
...
In a certain city.
Located within the city is the Night Watcher tavern.
After several years of developnt, this tavern has expanded greatly. It has two floors and occupies a significant area at the street corner of the city, becoming a gathering place for the city's residents to relax.
Cheap and delicious beer, a guarantee of safety, are enough to make most ordinary residents choose it. After all, many taverns are always filled with noise and conflict, but in the Night Watchers' tavern, no one dares to act that way.
"Why is it just Uncle Vilu today?" A teenager leaned on the bar, looking at the uncle inside, and asked.
The Night Watcher referred to as Vilu glanced at the teenager and continued wiping a glass, "For a long ti, you'll only see ; everyone else has left due to so matters."
"Ah! Then who will teach swordsmanship?" the teenager asked anxiously.
Vilu put down the glass, pressed his hand on the teenager's head, and asked discontentedly, "What? Do you think my skills aren't enough to teach you? You annoying little brat! If you want to learn swordsmanship, you have to help out with the work!"
"No problem, I'll help you clean up," the teenager said and was about to climb over the bar.
Vilu slapped him on the head, took a few sheets of paper from below, and placed them on the table, "No need, you stick these on the notice board over there."
"Notice board?" The teenager looked over. Originally a place for posting warnings, it had now been cleared and expanded, becoming the most prominent spot in the tavern.
He looked at the papers in his hand:
[East of Qivier Village, near the woods by Sleepy Creek, a large group of goblins has been sighted; everyone please be cautious...]
[Along the rchant's route, there have been multiple incidents of caravan robberies recently, for passage advice...]
These papers were full of such information.
The teenager didn't understand but went ahead and posted them on the notice board.
Soon, the guests drinking and eating around began to gather.
"Oh, I know about this. A few days ago, a child from the Boer family was kidnapped by these goblins."
"What? I know that child, Celestial God, bless him to be safe."
The information posted on the notice board was all about recent happenings around the city, mainly reminders about unsafe places and areas to watch out for.
Vilu looked at the returning teenager, "Kid, want to work in the tavern?"
"Really? Can I?!" the teenager asked excitedly.
Everyone around knew this was the Night Watcher tavern, and they clearly knew what the Night Watchers were. Although they didn't understand the chanics of Night Watcher operations, being allowed or recruited to work at the tavern ant the person had entered the Night Watcher's screening process.
Later, he might be able to beco a Preparatory Night Watcher, go to the Eastern Wilderness for training, and eventually beco a true Night Watcher.
"Don't overthink; it's because we're short-handed now," Uncle Vilu said.
After speaking, he sighed in distress and scratched his hair.
"Transforming the tavern into an Adventurer Association... it's really difficult, how do we do it?"
Before becoming a Night Watcher, he was just an ordinary soldier, and his knowledge was truly limited. If you ask him how to fight or track down a cult, he can articulate clearly; but ask him how to manage a tavern or establish an association, he really can't answer well.
Even though the channel information has provided a detailed process, these are just basic procedures and need to be adjusted according to each region's differences.
Fortunately, the channel's orders aren't urgent, giving them ample ti to prepare, which made Vilu relieved.
At this ti, a horse-drawn carriage stopped at the tavern's entrance.
A young man wearing a scholar's robe stepped down from it.
This inevitably drew curious looks from those around. You see, this city rarely sees such people; previously, the only ones seen were mages within the Night Watcher teams, but it's been quite a long ti since one appeared.
The young man ca in and scanned the room, soon spotting Vilu, and walked over, taking out a docunt from his coat and handed it to him.
Vilu took the docunt with a puzzled look and then showed a delighted expression.
"You finally arrived, co, let's go upstairs and talk."
This young man wasn't a Night Watcher, but the docunt he provided had the Night Watcher's seal glaringly stamped on it, symbolizing his identity.
This is the dispatch from the Eastern Wilderness to each Night Watcher tavern, acting as a secretary, and most of them are Preparatory Night Watchers who haven't received a Blessing yet. But they've studied in the Eastern Wilderness or Night Watcher's educational institutions for a long ti. Compared to many Night Watchers who only know combat, they are more suited for handling Adventurer Association establishnt tasks.
Since the Night Watcher quota is currently bottlenecked, these preparatory individuals naturally took on crucial roles, heading to each tavern for duty.
When these taverns truly start functioning as Adventurer Associations, they will beco the first batch of new Night Watchers to receive blessings.
