The hivemind is conquering for me? Chapter 457: Pointless Drama Avoided!

The sun’s final rays were descending upon the towering glass cityscape, blanketing it with its golden rays. The city however, was still awake and bustling, pedestrians going to and fro, Air cabs hovering above like a swarm of locusts.

Despite it being sunset, the day was still young and many were still working. Evidence of this was the building in front of , the Hyllus building, bristling with life and workers galore as thousands ca and went, doing whatever they were hired for.

Checking over my clothes that I had personally bought myself just before coming here, I checked out my reflection, moving so of my hair over to the side and positioned myself upright, I then angled the objects in my hands the correct rotation before I walked into the building.

The lobby was bustling as people moved from place to place, out one elevator and into the next. I ignored them all and looked over to the waiting area, recalling the last ti I turned up unannounced.

Shaking my head, I walked over to the receptionist, who felt my presence as she was working on her data pad. "Hello, welco to the Hyllus building, how can I help you-eep!" The woman looked up at and accidentally let out a squeak in surprise as she realised my height.

"Hi there, my na is Archon Apollo, I am here to see Kat." The receptionist frowned at my statent. "Do you have an appointnt?" She inquired inquisitively, causing to shake my head. "No, but Kat and I are close, trust when I say you really should not attempt to call security or anything."

My warning caused the woman’s eyebrow to raise at before she reached into the desk draw next to her and pulled out a gun, which she then aid at my face. "Please look at the lens." She said calmly.

"Ok, but what for?" I asked curiously as I looked at the flat end of the gun shaped object. "We need to check if you are in the database, we had an incident here a few months ago that caused a right scene when we didn’t let in an individual with important ties to Lady Hyllus. Now if soone claims they don’t need a eting, we can check if that is the case and if you are not on here, then we call security if you are persistent."

The receptionist put the scanner gun down after thirty seconds and began typing away. A few seconds later, she got a warning on her Data pad, indicating. "Class 0 authority?" She murmured shocked, before looking up at the man in front of her.

That practically ant the man owned the company in every way but title. Imdiately she reached into her desk and provided the man in front of her with a fob. "Here you go sir, this with your access levels will allow you to go wherever you wish. Lady Hyllus should be in her office right now, please." She then pointed with her whole hand towards the elevators, causing to smile, happy that another pointless drama didn’t play out.

"Thank you very much, you have a good day, ok?" I then turned from the woman and began walking towards said pointed out elevator. The woman watched and smiled, she couldn’t rember the last ti her boyfriend surprised her at work with flowers and chocolates. She would ask him later subtly, that should give him so romantic inspiration, n pick up on all won’s hints after all...

After getting off the elevator, I arrived on Kats office floor and began walking. I was turning heads imdiately as the people on this floor were more noble aligned than the rest of the work force and knew of at this point.

On the way to Kats office, I smiled as I placed my box of chocolates onto the desk of a woman and said. "Hi Candice, how are you?" The woman in question continued with her work a mont before looking up.

"Too busy for idle chit chat and s- Oh Archon! Apologies, I thought you were one of the riff raff, what can I do for you?" She asked with a genuine smile. "For ? Nothing, you already work incredibly hard. I ca to see Kathrine and give you those." I said, pointed towards the box of chocolates.

"For ?" She asked and looked up at shocked. "Yes, you do a lot for Kathrine and by extension, . You are a hard worker who Kathrine has utmost faith in. Now, I know chocolates are not that great a gift, I would have gotten you a bottle of wine or sothing, but I know you don’t like to drink, so I thought these might be better."

Candice placed her hand over her chest before standing up and proceeded to prance around her desk and hugged . "Oh thank you so much! This is so sweet! And you rembered I don’t drink? Kathrine is a very lucky woman, Apollo."

Candice then pulled back from the hug and straightened out her blouse, coughing slightly to relieve the tension only she was feeling. "Kathrine is inside, she isn’t on call at the mont, you can go right in."

I smiled at Candice and made my way to Kathrine’s office and knocked on the door. "Co in!" I heard in a bossy tone, causing to chuckle. It always made happy when I got to see or hear my mates acting differently around others.

As I entered the room Kathrine spoke while her eyes were glued to her desk. "Put your report on my desk and leave, I will check it within the hour." With a cheeky grin, I did as she asked and placed down the flowers facing her direction before backing away.

Kathrine took a cursory glance. ’Oh, begonias.’ She thought to herself a mont before continuing on with her work for a good twenty seconds before her brain stopped lagging behind as she spoke aloud.

"Wait, begonias?" She then looked up at the man in her room, dressed up smart, adding onto his already handso stature, her master was so perfect! "Apollo!" She sprang up out of her chair and ran over for hugs and kisses.

"What are you doing here! And you got Begonias! How did you know they were my favourite? I have never told you that!" After five minutes, I was finally able to maneuver Kathrine off my lips to respond to the question she had.

"I rember when we t Hank on the Opulence, he called you ’little begonia’. I thought It would be a nice gesture and present. As for why I am here? Well, I am asking you out on a date."

Kathrine inhaled sharply and looked up at with soft eyes, full of love. She reached up and caressed my chin with her hand and spoke. "How did I get so lucky? It’s like I’m living a fairy tale. Ok, Apollo, can you give an hour? So I can finish up and delegate here and get dressed for our date. Oh I am so excited! You charr! Springing this on ! I thought we would plan a date together, not you being spontaneous! Oh I am getting hot! You better leave now before I get nothing done!"

I chuckled at Kathrine’s excitent and placed a kiss on her forehead. "One hour. I will wait for you upstairs."

After leaving, Kathrine sat down on her chair once more. She tried to get back to work imdiately, but she couldn’t. One thing needed to be taken care of first. "Kiyaah!!" She scread excitedly like a teenager. She felt so giddy! Her soulmate was taking her out on a date! Could her life possibly get any better?

Well... There was one way, but considering her body had stopped aging now thanks to her enslavent, she was in no rush. ’Besides, Apollo clearly does sothing to stop that from happening. With my virility and him pumping loads into multiple tis a session, I would have had a bun in the oven months ago.’

Shaking her head from the wonderful thoughts, Kathrine got back to work at intense speed. The faster she got these delegations going, the quicker she could go and get ready for her date!

As she began doing the work, her free hand had made its way to her stomach, stroking it unconsciously, a gesture of wishful thinking.

After leaving Kat to her own devices temporarily, I made it up to her penthouse and walked inside. Only three steps in, I had to stop and shake my head. "Do you ever wear clothes anymore?" I said playfully, causing the naked woman doing stretches, to look through her legs and smile at .

"Oh my baby! I didn’t expect to see you today!" Valerica then finished her stretch and turned to look at . She proceeded to extend her arms outwards and exclaid.

"Well, don’t just stand there, co give mummy so sugar! Her Apollo levels are critically low!"
