We arrived at an acre of grass field. We were not late, but a lot of people were here already. I scanned the field for anyone I knew, Mindy should be here, but with the amount of people, I couldn’t spot her. Still, it wasn’t as many as enrolnt, only a couple hundred compared to the two thousand.

"Goodness , Psionics clearly agree with you huh? You look like a silver fox." I complinted, causing the man to laugh.
"HAhaha! You are a good one Apollo. Yes, it really does. I haven’t felt this healthy since I was a teenager. You were right about absorbing Psionic energy. It’s been making younger, though the effects have slowed down considerably at this point, but I am not complaining in the slightest. Watch!"
The man bent down and touched his toes multiple tis. "I haven’t been able to do that since I was thirty! Ahhh what a gift I have been given!" I patted the man on the shoulder, genuinely happy for him.
"That’s great man, I am glad Psionic energy is taking so well to you." Ambrose gave my hand a double pat of appreciation before a look of contemplation. "Hey... now that my mind is what it once was, I rember sothing. Did you have so issue at enrolnt? I rember they said your na about sothing or other then a few monts later a large do was erected within the crowd and we were told to disperse."
I scratched the back of my head slightly. "Oh. Yeah, that was just a misunderstanding. Everything is fine." I said before changing the subject. "So, I didn’t expect you to sign up for expeditions? I know you said you wanted to learn combat, but from what I understand, expeditions are much deadlier than just training."
Ambrose nodded his head. "Yeah, I don’t plan on doing the scary stuff I bet you are getting yourself into, but I spoke with the deputy headteacher herself and ca to an agreent about sending to polluted planets to clean up the surroundings for *ahem* very good pay. But I need to do evaluations as formality... Not looking forward to getting my arse handed to though hahaha!"
"Oh that is good, you can send even more money to Audrey that way. Have you spoken to her since coming here?" I asked, causing a mixed expression to erge on Ambrose’s face. "I have... She is really sick. It pains to see her like that while being so far away, but it’s being here that will make her better. Though... Her not recognising the other day did hurt. I don’t bla her for that though, I barely recognise myself at the mont..."
An awkward pause erges between us while Orchid is simply looking around trying to determine who here was the most biomass efficient. Her eyes naturally got drawn to a human with a shocking high amount of fat stored within its body.
From Orchids’ understanding, this was unhealthy in humans, they were not supposed to store that much extra fat, but she looked away before her questions turned into hunger.
"But the kids are saying she looks to be improving despite everything. My being away is a price I am willing to pay if it ans my girl is getting better." I nodded my head in understanding, I too would pay any price for my loved ones.
As I was about to suggest we go and mingle to change the conversation topic, a group suddenly began giggling off in the distance. Turning to see what the hubbub was about I opened my eyes quite wide in surprise.
A man was walking towards us, green hair in a side parting. He was laughing with his arms wrapped around two won’s waist with two more won in tow. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
’Holy shit, does that guy have a harem or sothing? Never seen soone have that before. Kathrine has ntioned that so nobles do have them, but to see it with my own eyes... Crazy.’ I couldn’t help but think.
The man stopped a distance away from the rest of the group and seed to only want to speak to his group. anwhile Orchid looked towards Apollo’s current interest and frowned, misunderstanding. ’More sluts trying to seduce my mate... I can’t make them disappear here as easily as on Sophia’s planet...’
Orchid had made a blunder. Apollo was not interested in the won at all, he barely registered their looks, it was more the fantasy of having a harem. He found the idea fun, but would never try to claim one for himself... His hive and those he loved were more than enough for him....

After about twenty minutes of waiting, Valerica arrived with three other teachers on a platform next to the group. One of them I knew, Hecate, but the other two I had not seen yet. Both were n, one looked a little weaselly, but his eyes showed sharpness, while the other one was tall, wide with muscles and bald... ’Seriously, I am beginning to see a pattern here...’
"Everyone shut up and look this way!" Valerica’s voice bood over the crowd, it almost had physical weight to it with how it seed to hit so individuals. ’And without amplification.’ I thought, impressed.
Valerica looked among the crowd sternly, she was setting herself up as a presence not to be ssed with... This almost failed as she managed to spot her one and only child looking at her expectingly, his eyes practically glistening as he looked upon her.
’My baby loves so much.’ She thought and couldn’t help getting tingles, but resud composure. "Everyone, My na Is Valerica Hyllus, I am a Spartari Guardian and have taken a temporary job here to teach you all how to stop being soft. Now here is how today is going to go. There are going to be a series of tests ntal and physical in a variety of categories to determine how we can best train you in the coming months and if there are any specialised classes you might need to take in order to go on expeditions."
"Now for the others that are with today, on the far right is Edward. He will be assessing personal strength here today, mostly those with Psionic enhancent capabilities." The man in question simply nodded his head at the acknowledgent
"Next to him is Hecate, She will be overseeing your Psionic powers, their strength, their functionality, how they work and their fundantals." Hecate had her eyes closed and was floating off the ground. I smiled and chuckled. ’I can do that now... Barely.’
"Next to is Yacob, he is here to look at the more ’exotic’ Psionic abilities. Those that can create life, summon creatures or if you can change body parts on a whim, he will be looking at that." Yacob raised his hands in the air and waved at everyone.
" And I will be looking over your general skills. Your talents. Your strengths and weaknesses while also performing combat tests for those that show greater skill far above the average.
"All of the tests you will be doing today are mandatory, if you wish to go on expeditions. Spartari doesn’t like to admit this, despite it being true, but everyone here is worth more than the common soldier. Losing even one of you is a serious blow to the empire, so it is imperative we fully vet and train you before these expeditions start in a few months ti. And if you don’t make the cut for expeditions, fret not. There will be training classes available to you that will look incredible on your graduation diploma if you attend and can retake the tests next year."
Valerica looked around, the couple hundred looked rather excited, which was good as most would be asking for death by the end of the day. She smiled at the thought.
"Ok everyone, we are going to split into four groups. When you hear your na, shout ’here’ and you will be assigned a number. Number one will start with , two with Hecate, three with Yacob and four with Edward."
