Liu Zheng couldn't help but complain.

He fired the laser again, but they were blocked by the sword and shield soldiers appearing in front of the chariot.

"Alright, alright, so we're playing this way, huh?"

Liu Zheng almost laughed out of anger.

Coordination between infantry and tank is one thing, but whose infantry supports tanks by blocking bullets for them?

"I want to see how many shots you can block."

One hundred forty-four eyes closed simultaneously, and the wings that emitted pure Holy Light were instantly tainted with ink-black.

He waved his long spear, countless lightning Sun Strikes fell from the sky, resembling a divine punishnt.

He waved the spear again, molten lava and toxic water erupted from the cracked ground, resembling a calamity.

Surrounded on both sides, the sword and shield soldiers were overwheld and could only sacrifice themselves to protect the chariot, as they were engulfed by lava and toxic water.

The chariot approached Liu Zheng under the cover of the sword and shield soldiers. Just when he thought the chariot would crash into him, it emitted intense red light.

"Damn!"

Just as he was about to fly away, the chariot soldiers threw dozens of rune-engraved chains, binding him tightly.

Helpless, Liu Zheng had to fold his wings to wrap himself into a cocoon.

"Boom!!!"

A massive firelight filled the heavens, and the shockwave caused the distant city wall to shake violently, with a large crater dozens of ters wide and deep blown into the ground.

As for the Forbidden Guard Army, naturally, their bones didn't remain.

Only the Forbidden Guard Leader stood firm, coldly watching the explosion's center.

"What are you looking at?"

A voice sounded in his ear.

The Forbidden Guard Leader suddenly turned around, throwing a punch, accompanied by nine dragons.

This was the Nine Dragon Martial Scripture, only cultivable by royalty, a testant to the king's favor upon him.

"Feeble."

Liu Zheng reached out and grabbed his fist, lightly squeezing it, crushing the fist's intent and the fist itself.

"Die."

He raised his hand turned to white bone, aiming for the Forbidden Guard Leader's crown.

"Did I permit it?"

Accompanied by a tender yet sowhat sinister voice, countless strands of light erged from the ground, enveloping the Forbidden Guard Leader in a cocoon of light.

The bone hand struck the light cocoon, which rebounded the bone hand with a resilience, while the cocoon took the chance to escape underground.

"Again with these strands of light, could it really be a spider turned spirit?"

Liu Zheng complained.

"I am of the Human Clan."

The voice said.

"I don't believe it."

He shook his head.

"If you don't believe it, why don't you enter the city for an audience?"

The voice said.

"Alright."

Liu Zheng landed and casually walked into the city.

"You didn't fly into the city?"

The voice seed sowhat surprised.

"Respect an inch, I respect you a yard. Since you're courteous, naturally, I will be courteous too."

He shrugged his shoulders.

"Then why destroy my array and massacre my subjects?"

The voice inquired.

"The villagers of Geng hexagram village broke their promise themselves, they can't bla for being ruthless. As for your soldiers, they made the first move; I couldn't just surrender?"

Liu Zheng replied.

"You speak reasonably. However, committing such cris must co with consequences."

The voice stated.

"Your Majesty, can I pay guilty silver?"

He tested.

The voice did not respond to him.

With the sound of horse hooves echoing, nurous Bronze War Chariots burst out from seemingly empty houses.

These chariots' warhorses are not only a circle larger than the previous ones, but they are also covered with intricate patterns.

Moreover, it's no longer armored soldiers on the chariots, but sorcerers in robes and high crowns.

Each chariot was surrounded by a dozen foot soldiers, but they no longer wielded sword and shield; instead, they held long halberds resembling scythes.

Whether sorcerers or foot soldiers, their faces had been destroyed, yet instinct told Liu Zheng they were more ancient yet more "refined" than the previous bronze soldiers.

"Riding its four steeds, with wings ablaze."

Seeing this scene full of historical significance, a line of poetry suddenly appeared in his mind.

However, despite the tall warhorses restlessly pacing, the sorcerers and foot soldiers eyeing him fiercely, they showed no intention of attacking.

Minutes later, with a resounding horn, the chariots and foot soldiers retreated to either side, revealing a broad path.

A person wearing a garnt of extrely intricate patterns, with a gold mask resembling the sun on their face, walked along the path towards Liu Zheng.

His pace was not fast, and his steps were not large; each step was a square step, imbued with authority yet tinged with a hint of humor.

Though it was only a few hundred ters of the passageway, he hobbled along for more than ten minutes before arriving in front of Liu Zheng.

However, Liu Zheng didn't think this person, who looked like both a priest and a eunuch, was stalling for ti, for the transformation had been undone by the ti he entered the city.

"The king has decreed that this person shall follow for an audience."

The person wearing the gold mask spoke, using a sing-song tone.

"As you command!"

The magician and soldiers bowed their heads in response, then retreated into the houses.

"Follow ."

The person with the gold mask gestured to Liu Zheng and then turned to proceed ahead on his own.

Of course, Liu Zheng did not wander off, maintaining a certain distance as he followed the masked man.

Passing through nurous dwellings, they arrived at a plaza, in the center of which stood nine bronze pillars, each wrapped with a hornless dragon.

"This is the punishnt ground; if the king deems you guilty, you will be punished here."

The masked man spoke as though he had eyes on the back of his head.

"Well, isn't that frank? So, how would the punishnt be carried out? Tie to the pillar and use as an archery target?"

Liu Zheng asked curiously.

"No. You would be tied to the bronze pillar, and then the Dragon Fire will heat the pillar, roasting you to death."

The masked man shook his head.

"Oh, I've heard of that; it's called 'Poluo', isn't it?"

He slapped his forehead and said.

"Indeed."

The masked man gave him a look of approval.

After passing through the plaza, they reached a wooden bridge.

Beneath the wooden bridge was a bottomless pit, filled with intertwined and stacked venomous snakes.

"No, don't give hints. Let think."

Liu Zheng saw the masked man was about to speak and hurriedly gestured to stop him.

"Scorpion Pit, this punishnt is called Scorpion Pit, isn't it?"

He said excitedly.

"Indeed."

The masked man nodded.

"So, your king wouldn't happen to be Emperor Xin, would he?"

Liu Zheng squinted as he spoke.

The scenario with 'Poluo' and 'Scorpion Pit' seed all too familiar; it would be hard for the scene to not involve Daji whispering poisonous words.

"No. King Zhou was a monarch of the past, my king rely admired his character and borrowed his punishnts."

The masked man shook his head.

"I see it's not just the punishnts that have been borrowed."

Liu Zheng smirked.

There's the Bronze War Chariot and the Star-picking Tower; it's enough to shoot a new 'Investiture of the Gods'.

The masked man ignored him and led him across the wooden bridge.

After passing through another section of the city, they finally arrived at the high platform.

The high platform was entirely cast in bronze and consisted of nine hundred and ninety-nine steps; each step narrowing slightly until it reached a re one ter square at the top.

And atop this platform rested a massive stone coffin, with over nine-tenths of it suspended in mid-air, seemingly precarious.

Of course, it only seed precarious.

Because there were nine giant flying centipedes in the air, each centipede had a chain through the head, connected to the stone coffin.

These giant golden flying centipedes had dragon horns on their heads, and their insect legs transford into dragon claws, giving off not disgust but a sense of majesty and sacredness.

Clearly, they were Liu Zheng's tomb-raiding target.

Nine Dragons Carrying Coffin!

"King, the person has been brought."

After bowing to the coffin, the masked man spoke.

"Having reached the presence of the lonely one, why do you not kneel?"

That youthful voice resounded once more.

"Because there was once soone we called 'Your Majesty' who commanded us not to kneel."

Liu Zheng responded seriously.

"Besides, I haven't seen your Majesty."

He added with a sly grin.

"Even if you don't perform the triple kneel and nine kowtows, since you've intruded into my tomb, you ought to pay respects."

The voice spoke again.

"That's true. Greetings, Great King."

This ti, Liu Zheng respectfully bowed.

"Rise, no need for ceremony. I have one question for you."

That voice said.

"Please speak, Great King."

"What do you think, what cri should I accuse you of?"
