The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human? Chapter 1237 767: You Have to Pay Whether You Do It or Not
Changmao didn't speak, but Liu Zheng didn't need him to answer right now.
Liu Zheng went up to the second floor and turned right, arriving at a green iron door.
Inside the iron door, there was a security door, typical of a place with poor security.
He rang the doorbell, and after a few seconds, the security door opened.
A woman in a tank top and hot pants leaned against the doorfra, eyeing him up and down.
"Are you the delivery guy?"
She asked.
"That's . Are you Ah Piao?"
Liu Zheng countered.
"Yes. Regardless of what you're here to do, pay up first."
Ah Piao held out her hand.
He smiled and placed a hundred-dollar bill in her hand.
"How did you know it was that much?"
Ah Piao was taken aback.
izhen wasn't supposed to ntion this.
"Soone told . I get along well with strangers,"
Liu Zheng replied.
"Tsk~ Co on in."
Ah Piao opened the outermost iron door.
"No rush."
He didn't go in but instead pulled out another wad of cash.
"That was for services, and now this is for information. If you want it, I'll co in. If not, forget it."
Liu Zheng said.
Since he was already inside Kowloon Walled City and had Changmao as a guide, he wasn't particularly reliant on Ah Piao either.
Since they were introduced by soone he knew, Liu Zheng was willing to give Ah Piao a chance to stay out of this.
But if she took the money and didn't act, he wouldn't be lenient.
"izhen wasn't wrong, you are indeed a madman."
Ah Piao glanced at the money and then at him.
"Calling a madman is a bit much; at most, I'm just a weirdo."
Liu Zheng shrugged.
"A fool not to take money,"
Ah Piao snatched the money from his hand, and he took the opportunity to enter the house.
The room was small, the living room about ten square ters, crowded with basic furniture and appliances.
There were two rooms, one with a character 'Fu' on the door, and the other with nothing.
"Kid, close the door and do your howork!"
Ah Piao suddenly shouted.
Liu Zheng looked toward the room with the 'Fu' character and saw a small, buzz-cut head flash by.
"Is that your son?"
He asked.
"Yes. Why, planning to threaten using my son?"
Ah Piao replied bluntly.
"Is this how you talk to all your clients?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"What do you an?"
"If not, then I don't know what izhen told you to make you think you can speak to like this."
He said calmly.
"I'm willing to respect the weak, but only if you respect too. Do you want to turn that into blood money?"
He pointed at the cash in Ah Piao's hand.
"...I'm sorry."
Ah Piao shuddered, responding decisively.
"In an apology, you squat down with hands on your head, that's basic. Didn't anyone teach you that?"
Liu Zheng said coldly.
"Sorry, I was wrong!"
Ah Piao squatted down promptly and yelled.
"Good, get up."
He glanced at the room with the 'Fu' character, and its door quietly opened again.
Ah Piao stood up, keeping her head down and staying silent.
"Don't use the sa tactics on that you use on Puke and your peers. Now I talk, you listen. You na the terms for what you can do, and I'll agree if I can. Work hard, and I'll pay generously. Understand?"
Liu Zheng glanced at the dirty sofa and decided to keep standing.
"Understood."
Ah Piao said, keeping her head down.
"Good. First question, how many Fat Biaos are there in Kowloon Walled City?"
He asked.
"Four. One runs a lottery booth, one sells drugs, one is a street fighter, and another... runs a clinic."
Ah Piao hesitated before ntioning the fourth person.
"Hmm?"
Liu Zheng's expression shifted.
An unexpected find.
"Tell about the fourth one."
He ordered.
"His na is Liang Biao, a doctor at Baosheng Hall. Fat Biao was a nickna from long ago, I only found out by chance."
Ah Piao explained.
"What chance?"
Liu Zheng pressed for more details.
"I went to get dicine from him one day, and a friend of his ca and called him by that old nickna."
Ah Piao replied.
"Oh. How many people work at the clinic?"
"Two, him and his apprentice."
Ah Piao said.
"How strong is he?"
Liu Zheng asked again.
"I can't tell."
Ah Piao shook her head.
She had so ability but only a little.
Protecting herself was already a struggle; expecting her to sense anything more was too much.
"Are you sure his 'Biao' is the one with a tiger and three slashes?"
Liu Zheng confird.
"I'm sure. I can read, and I recognized his signature on the prescriptions."
Ah Piao said.
"Okay. Take to Baosheng Hall."
He made a decision.
The delivery ti was only half an hour, and confirming by going through each one wouldn't work, so he had to pick one.
Combining the answers from izhen, Changmao, and Ah Piao, this unexpected doctor seed the most likely.
"But my son..."
Ah Piao hesitated.
"If anything happens to you, I'll ensure he gets out of Kowloon Walled City safely and into izhen's care, leave so money for him, and have soone check on him regularly."
Liu Zheng promised.
"...Alright!"
Ah Piao gritted her teeth and agreed.
"Mom, don't go."
The room door suddenly opened, and a little boy in overalls ran out and clung to her legs, shouting.
"Kid, didn't I tell you to go do your howork? So disobedient."
Ah Piao sternly slapped his head a few tis.
"Even if you beat , I won't let you go."
The little boy yelled with his eyes closed.
"Will he be safe staying here?"
Liu Zheng suddenly asked.
Ah Piao nodded silently.
"Good."
He reached out and held the boy's neck but didn't squeeze.
