"Ah, what do you an?"

Liu Zheng felt a rush of alarm in his heart.

Had the Red Ghost discovered that he wasn’t from this world?

If that was the case, what should he do?

Strike first?

Calmly admit it?

Surrender without a fight?

"Literal aning. Who are you?"

The Red Ghost asked again.

"I’m a delivery man from the Bloody Restaurant."

Liu Zheng replied.

"What else?"

"I’m Liu Zheng, suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and I’m an orphan."

He thought for a mont before speaking.

"Anything else?"

The Red Ghost prodded unhurriedly.

"I was required by the system to survive in this world for more than 72 hours, but just surviving 72 hours is definitely not enough, because..."

Liu Zheng trailed off as he spoke.

Because why exactly?

Right, what was the system again?

Who was I again?

His originally tired but sharp gaze gradually beca vacant, that persistent urgency which clung to him like a painful affliction suddenly vanished.

But Liu Zheng didn’t feel relieved; instead, he was overco with imnse fear.

"Attention!"

The Red Ghost suddenly barked.

A hamr had sohow appeared in its hand, and it was slamd heavily against Liu Zheng’s forehead.

He instinctively stood at attention, his mind’s chaotic thoughts tidied and cald by the will carried in the hamr.

"You understand now, the longer you stay here, the more you will forget."

"In the end, you will forget who you are, where you co from, and why you set out."

The Red Ghost spoke calmly.

"Then why are you all fine?"

Liu Zheng asked.

"Because we are already dead. Moreover, we have not forgotten everything."

"It’s just that we have even forgotten what it is that we’ve forgotten."

The Red Ghost spoke indifferently.

He looked toward the children engrossed in watching the video, at a loss for what to say.

"Let’s go. Next ti you co back, bring so entertainnt for the kids."

The Red Ghost said.

"Will the exit to the shelter open up here then?"

"No. This is both a trial for you and protection for you."

The Red Ghost shook its head.

"Alright."

Liu Zheng walked over to the children, ready to say goodbye.

"Mr. Electrician, this is for you."

Galina ran over and placed her hair flower onto his tentacle.

"What about you then?"

He asked.

"Don’t worry, Mr. Electrician. We will cut a little bit off our hair flowers and sew her a new and pretty one."

Donia declared loudly.

And she did just that, taking her large, golden-brown hair flower down and cutting off a significant piece with scissors.

Her gaze lingered regretfully even as she made the swift, decisive cut.

"You’re all good children."

Liu Zheng patted both of their heads.

Seeing this, the other girls crowded around as well.

The boys felt a bit embarrassed and could only watch eagerly.

He sowhat helplessly raised all his tentacles and patted them four at a ti, as if performing so strange religious ritual.

anwhile, he felt sowhat ashad in his heart.

I had thought of buying a keyboard pad for the novelist, so how could I not have thought to buy hair flowers and clothes for the children?

Next ti I deliver food, I’ll have to stock up at the Silk Cave.

After leaving the sewer, Liu Zheng made a beeline for the Jidao Public Bath.

As he lifted the bathhouse curtain, Jinzi’s eyes brightened instantly, and she stepped forward to et him.

"The custor really likes to bathe; you’ve co back so soon," she said as she squatted down to change Liu Zheng’s shoes.

The pinned up hair concealed in her eyes an uncontrollable greed.

"He’s here for ."

Guo Koutangzi erged from the won’s bath.

"Tangzi, he’s my custor."

Jinzi said while looking sideward at her.

"Jinzi, he’s a distinguished guest of the Jiwei Group."

Guo Koutangzi spoke with a competitive edge.

"The Extre Flavor Group, having lost even their signboard, what right do they have to snatch custors from Jidao Public Bath?"

Jinzi’s voice carried a hint of coldness.

"Even without a signboard, the Extre Flavor Group could still stew you into a pot of soup."

Guo Koutangzi’s expression also grew colder.

Chills emanated from both won, converging and causing Liu Zheng to shiver on the side.

"That... uhm..."

He attempted to speak.

"Shut up!"

Both won snapped at him simultaneously.

"This is a woman’s battle, n should just watch from the side."

Jinzi spoke without expression, a far cry from her earlier Yamato Nadeshiko deanor.

"Right, just stay put, it’ll be over quickly."

Guo Koutangzi surprisingly agreed with him.

"Who has ti for your n and won argunt."

Liu Zheng wasn’t scared off by them but rather spoke with a hint of impatience.

"In my eyes, we’re all the sa."

"What kind of people?"

Guo Koutangzi played the straight man.

"Workers."

He stood up and declared with resonating strength.

"..."

The two won suddenly felt a chill.

"Don’t even think about dragging into this. I just blew up an office building earlier and then robbed a tailor shop, I’m pretty exhausted."

Liu Zheng, ignoring their expressions, patted Jinzi on the shoulder.

The boning knife "accidentally" slipped with his pat, slicing open her bathrobe.

Through the tear, a perfect external tangent circle was barely visible.

He pulled out a wad of cash and stuffed it into the tear.

"If I blew up your bathhouse as well, it’d be inconvenient even to take a bath, right?"

Having said that, Liu Zheng no longer paid her any attention and walked towards Guo Koutangzi.

Jinzi watched his retreating figure, touching the tear in her garnt, with her expression changing unpredictably.

If he could slice open her robe, he could slice off her head.

It seed that grilling a whole sheep directly was out of the question; she’d have to settle for shearing a little wool at a ti.

Jinzi reached over to the tear and with a swipe, her robe was restored to its forr state.

And she, too, returned to her gentle smile, returning to the front desk.

"Stay away from that woman, she’s the type to devour soone without leaving any bones."

As Guo Koutangzi led Liu Zheng into the won’s bath, she warned him.

"Really eat people?"

"Really eats."

"Cool."

Entering the won’s bath, there were no other custors inside.

Of course, this was within his expectations, so he wasn’t particularly disappointed.

But there was sothing that did surprise him.

Red Dragonfly was actually soaking in the bath, and she seed to be enjoying herself imnsely.

"What’s this?"

"I get tired from hosting the matches too, isn’t it right to relax a bit?"

Red Dragonfly retorted with justified pride.

"Absolutely, so will you soak a bit longer or host the match first?"

Liu Zheng asked.

"Forget it, I’ll host the match first."

Red Dragonfly struggled with the decision but eventually flew out of the bath.

With two flaps of her large wings, all the water on her body was blown away.

"Welco viewers to the tropolis Soup Cooking Competition."

Red Dragonfly took out the Referee Stick and spoke into the microphone on it.

"Viewers?"

Liu Zheng looked around, so he counted as ’viewers’?

"In today’s competition, we have the head chef from Bloody Restaurant, Napoleon,"

Red Dragonfly pointed the Referee Stick toward the pool, and the reflection of White Feather Chicken appeared on the water’s surface.

It grimaced, gave a reluctant greeting, and then disrupted the water with a flap of its wing.

"And the forr leader of the Extre Flavor Group, Guo Koutangzi."

Red Dragonfly then pointed the Referee Stick toward Guo Koutangzi.

"Hey, what’s this ’forr Extre Flavor Group’? Be careful, or I’ll sue you for slander."

Guo Koutangzi said discontentedly.

"Excellent, both contestants are brimming with fighting spirit. So, who will be the champion of this soup cooking competition?"

"Don’t go away, we’ll tell you after the break," Red Dragonfly announced skillfully.

"???"

Liu Zheng’s face was a picture of confusion.
