The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human? Chapter 322 - 310: Slaying the Gods
"Na: Damaged Legendary Delivery Man’s Watch (Disposable)"
"Quality: Fine"
"Effect: Increases the player’s speed by ten tis, lasting for three seconds."
This was a gift from Ghost Hand.
It wasn’t hard to guess that if it hadn’t been damaged, it would have likely been of perfect quality.
A tenfold speed boost for three seconds sounded terrifying, but it still had its limitations.
For example, against an enemy whose defenses couldn’t be breached, tenfold speed would only allow you to scrape faster.
Of course, Liu Zheng had no such concerns.
He pressed the button on the watch’s face, and the world instantly fell silent.
He looked at helt man, finding him moving at a snail’s pace in a ridiculously slow motion.
Turning his gaze to Yamiro, Liu Zheng could even see the process of its eyeballs bulging out.
"So slow."
He sighed as he sprinted forward.
By the ti he ran under Yamiro, the latter’s eyeballs had bulged out only halfway.
Liu Zheng threw out his tentacles to wrap around the stone statue’s head, then pulled himself up the wall.
When his upward montum was about to end, he furiously kicked off the wall’s protrusions, propelling himself nearly to the sa height as Yamiro.
If he could perform these moves in reality, he would undoubtedly beco the undisputed king of parkour.
"Surprise mother fucker!"
Liu Zheng flashed a brilliant smile at Yamiro.
"Buzz!"
A terrifying howl pierced the ruse of ti and reached his ears.
Clearly, the damaged watch couldn’t fully restrain this higher being, at least not its will.
However, Liu Zheng didn’t need to destroy its will, just its body was enough.
He grabbed the boning knife and stabbed it into Yamiro’s chest.
The knife entered smoothly, indicating the high quality of this higher being’s at.
However, when it hit its bones, the boning knife got stuck.
But that was exactly what Liu Zheng wanted.
Using the boning knife for leverage, he swung the Slaughter Knife.
Before cleaving Yamiro’s head, Liu Zheng’s own face split open.
A two-finger wide wound extended from the top of his head down to his collarbone, blood flowing like it cost nothing, covering his eyes with a blood red film.
"Right, of course."
He had a sudden idea, his free tentacles rolled across his face, soaking up his own blood.
The Slaughter Knife cleaved into Yamiro’s head, and with a downward pull, the serrated edge sliced through the flesh and nearly split the higher being’s head in two.
The exposed brain had no brain matter or nerves, only grayish flesh and layers upon layers of eyeballs.
"Disgusting."
Liu Zheng grimaced and then waved his tentacles.
The blood-soaked tentacles penetrated Yamiro’s head, rolling around inside it several tis.
"Buzz!"
Yamiro let out a mournful scream, releasing its grip on the outer wall and plumting downwards.
At this point, three seconds had passed.
When helt man reached the edge of the outer wall, Yamiro smashed right in front of him.
He paused for a mont, then without hesitation, raised the Thorny Sword.
All of Yamiro’s eyeballs, those inside its brain included, burst into a brilliant light, like the frenzied glow before a supernova.
However, just as the light was about to converge at the center, the blood-red Thorny Sword swung down, cleanly decapitating it.
Yamiro’s eyeballs flickered weakly and then went completely dim.
"Clang!"
Helt man nodded at Liu Zheng then collapsed onto the ground.
"Prey Slaughter!"
Liu Zheng was about to check his status when Xia Kai suddenly shouted from afar.
"What are you yelling for?"
He said irritably.
"Heh, I don’t know, just felt like it needed so sound at this mont,"
Xia Kai said sheepishly.
"Nerve."
Liu Zheng cursed and then went over to examine helt man.
Thankfully, it was just excessive blood loss, his heart rate and breathing were still present.
True to being one of the last tough n of the Church, his life was incredibly tough.
Since there was no danger to his life, Liu Zheng didn’t have Andrina perform Blood Healing on him, given their different beliefs.
After checking helt man, he went to inspect Yamiro.
This lesser higher being was completely dead, but its flesh, even in death, still maintained a gloss sowhere between stone and tal.
"Is it really dead?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"Even a higher being should be dead after such damage. Moreover, the pressure from the higher being has vanished too, I think it really is dead,"
Yuseyna said with a fearful look.
Her life’s goal was to beco a higher being, and Liu Zheng had just killed one right in front of her, as effortlessly as if slaughtering livestock.
Even though it was only a lesser higher being, the feat still made her shudder.
Was this person really human?
"Higher beings and Gods are basically the sa, right? As a God, doesn’t it have a soul or sothing like an avatar?"
Liu Zheng inquired.
"This... I don’t know. My research hasn’t reached that depth yet,"
Yuseyna honestly replied.
"Fine."
He shrugged.
A soul wouldn’t matter anyway, since true damage worked on the Spiritual Body as well.
He stared at Yamiro’s head for a mont, then stowed it entirely into the portable cold storage.
Liu Zheng initially only wanted the eyeballs, but considering that its brain was also full of eyeballs, the volu wasn’t much different.
