Now reading: Chapter 385 - 340 Not Only Will I Beat Up Red Ghost, I’ll Ev from The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human?, a Fantasy novel by Runaway Bottle.

"Experience trumps youth, eh."

Liu Zheng shrugged.

Not to ntion, his skills in fleeing had surpassed him by several versions.

"Creak, creak."

The valve was slowly opened, Donia waved her tiny hands, excitedly greeting him.

Red Ghost stood behind her with a face full of affection.

"Electrician, sir, co on in."

Donia called out to Liu Zheng.

"Alright."

He verbally complied, but his feet remained still as he gazed at Red Ghost.

"Co in."

Red Ghost nodded.

"Okay."

Liu Zheng entered the shelter, and the valve automatically closed behind him.

"Teacher has sothing to talk about with the electrician, so you kids go play for a while."

Looking at the children gathered around, Red Ghost said gently.

"Be good, I’ll co play with you all in a bit."

He echoed in support.

"Okay~"

The children, though disappointed, obediently returned to their seats.

"Did you go out for a while?"

Red Ghost led him to a storage room and then asked.

"Yes. I was actually going to look for you for so useful stuff, but I couldn’t get in touch with you."

Liu Zheng admitted candidly.

"There’s not much here that would suit your needs. Besides, you shouldn’t have too much contact with ."

Red Ghost shook his head.

Especially if he visited him before going abroad, City Hall might as well revoke Liu Zheng’s exit permit on the spot.

"That’s true."

"What did you see out there?"

Red Ghost inquired.

"Can I tell?"

"Yes. In this shelter, you can say whatever you want."

Red Ghost responded calmly.

"Okay, I went to a place called Yate..."

Liu Zheng briefly described his observations from the trip.

"Ha, the Church. No matter where they are, they always act the sa,"

Red Ghost remarked with scorn.

"That Carcarens Academy is even more laughable. Albert, as the academy’s head and a great Scholar, couldn’t even unify the academy’s ideology, let alone losing most of his elites to his own disciples. I think what they need is not the Holy Blood or any Inner Eye, but a committee mber."

He comnted.

"It’s the Steam Age; you can’t expect too much. After all, they really do have gods there."

Liu Zheng said a word in their favor.

Just like how, if there were real Dragon Kings, Zhang Zongchang wouldn’t have the guts to threaten to bomb the Dragon King Temple—unless he was using sothing like a Celestial Standard Demonic Annihilation Cannon. Then that would be a different story altogether.

"Gods."

Red Ghost snorted out the word through his nostrils, shaking his head and putting an end to the topic.

"What did you want to see for?"

He asked.

"Wasn’t it you who wanted to see ?"

"The sewer tampered with sothing, moving the shelter’s entrance here. It doesn’t have the reason or the guts to do so, so it must have done it for you."

Red Ghost stated.

"I see, I wondered why it was such a coincidence."

Liu Zheng realized.

"There is indeed sothing I need, but let’s get one thing clear first. No matter if you agree or not, you can’t beat up or blow up with a tank."

"Rest assured, for the sake of the kids, as long as you don’t do anything to harm the shelter, I won’t hurt you."

Red Ghost assured him.

"I’m not sure if it counts as harming the shelter. Last ti you beat up the sewer, this ti my boss asked to make a deal with it. It insists I beat you up before it agrees to the trade."

He rubbed his afro as he spoke.

"Just this matter?"

Red Ghost asked quite composedly, showing no signs of anger.

"Yeah, just this. If you don’t agree, forget it; I’ll figure out another way."

"Don’t rush. The sewer went berserk today and used up a lot of the shelter’s power. Since you’re here, it’s a good ti to produce so electricity."

Red Ghost pointed to the electric chair.

"Hey, didn’t you say you wouldn’t hurt ?"

Liu Zheng protested.

"Fixing you isn’t the sa as hurting you."

"That’s sophistry!"

He protested again.

"The logic seems sound to . Do you really want to beat up?"

Red Ghost inquired.

"It’s not who wants to give you a beating, it’s the sewer that wants to take out its anger on you through ."

Liu Zheng corrected him.

"What’s the difference?"

"Of course, there’s a difference. If you can provide another solution, I won’t beat you up," he said nonchalantly.

"No. But I can agree to your request," Red Ghost said.

"Really?"

Liu Zheng was sowhat incredulous.

How valuable must the face of a big shot who could stand up to City Hall be, to let an ant ruin it?

"Really, but there’s a condition," Red Ghost said.

"What condition?"

"The Netherworld Milk you delivered last ti, the kids really liked it. Bring over another twenty barrels of Netherworld Milk, and I’ll let you beat without fighting back," Red Ghost replied.

"Then, is it okay to record it?" he asked, pushing his luck.

Without a recording, he was worried the sewer wouldn’t acknowledge it.

"Fine, add another twenty barrels," Red Ghost nodded.

"Deal!"

Liu Zheng gritted his teeth and agreed.

One barrel of Netherworld Milk cost ten thousand, forty barrels would cost him four hundred thousand. Even in reality, that would be enough for a lifeti, not to ntion currency in tropolis had quite strong purchasing power.

But when considering that four hundred thousand would allow him to beat up a big shot like Red Ghost for nothing, he felt it was incredibly cost-effective.

If Red Ghost gave City Hall such terms, the central bank’s printing presses would probably need to run non-stop for 25 hours straight.

"Then I’m off to play with the kids," Liu Zheng said as he tried to slip away.

"Wait a mont," Red Ghost called out to him.

"May I ask what you desire, sir?" he asked respectfully.

"Since you’re already here, generate so electricity before you leave," Red Ghost pointed at the electric chair.

"Didn’t I already generate a year’s worth of electricity last ti?" Liu Zheng wailed.

"Thanks to you, the children have been much more active lately, and the electricity consumption has increased. Besides, the shelter has a large storage capacity for electricity. Even if you generate another hundred years’ worth, it would still fit," Red Ghost said.

"A hundred years’ worth, you might as well weld to the electric chair," he complained while obediently sitting down in the chair.

He had no choice, as the situation was stronger than he was.

"With your strength, you’re not even close to that power output," Red Ghost deaned him while pressing the execution button.

Although it had agreed to Liu Zheng’s request, it didn’t an it felt any less humiliated.

On the contrary, arrogance and a quick temper were part of its character.

If it weren’t for the fact that Liu Zheng had sufficiently ingratiated himself, and that his strength posed no threat to it, he would have been dead the second after he spoke.

Of course, Red Ghost also wanted to use this opportunity to nd relations with the sewer.

Better a close neighbor than a distant relative, the shelter still didn’t know how long it would have to stay in the sewer, so it was best to maintain a good relationship with this neighbor.

After all, though the sewer couldn’t beat Red Ghost, it still had the ability to irritate it.

Having generated electricity once more, Liu Zheng watched Afro play a simple tabletop ga with the kids for a while and then left the shelter.

Back on the surface, he called Niu Ma.

"Spit it out if you’ve got sothing to say, I’m busy," ca Niu Ma’s languid voice from the other end of the phone.

"Tch."

Busy doing what? He didn’t even need to look to know that Niu Ma was definitely lying on its pile of straw, hugging a bottle of liquor with one hoof while flipping through the risqué magazine he’d bought it last ti.

"Achoo! Are you bad-mouthing in your mind, kid?" Niu Ma bellowed.

"How could I, boss," Liu Zheng denied flatly.

Was it bad-mouthing to state the facts?

"Better not be. Why are you looking for ? Out with it," Niu Ma urged.

"Boss, you know about Bath Town Street?" he asked.

"Duh, Red Pig told you, so of course, it told ," Niu Ma retorted.

"No, I an a deeper understanding," Liu Zheng clarified.

"Huh? What are you planning to do, kid? The city isn’t satisfying you anymore, and you’re finally going to go blow up the streets outside the city, aren’t you?" Niu Ma perked up.

"Boss, we’re close, but watch it, or I’ll sue you for slander. It’s all for rescuing people, explosions are just a ans to an end,"

"So, whom are you off to rescue this ti?" Niu Ma asked.
