"What are you saying?"

The Fisherman looked puzzled.

"It’s about your daughter, how old is she, how tall is she, what does she look like, what does she like to eat, what does she like to do, and so on and so forth."

"Oh, she’s two, uh, sothing in her twenties?"

The Fisherman scratched his head.

"Co on, you don’t even know how old your daughter is?"

Liu Zheng was sowhat speechless.

"I have so many things to do every day, how can I rember all that."

The Fisherman said, getting angry and embarrassed.

"Alright, alright, just tell what you do know."

"She’s about 1.6 ters tall, and as for looks, you should just see the photo."

The Fisherman took out a photo from his inner pocket and handed it over to him.

The girl in the photo wore a graduation gown, stood under a French Plane Tree, and flashed a peace sign with a bright smile on her face.

A round face, short hair, wearing glasses, she looked like a slightly chubbier version of Zhao Jinmai.

Well, not too bad, at least I’m not embarrassing myself.

Liu Zheng breathed a sigh of relief.

"Did you take this photo?"

"No."

The Fisherman shook his head.

"I guessed as much."

As a reporter, he knew a bit about photography.

This was clearly a photo taken by a girl, and one who had taught herself so photography skills.

"What are you implying?"

The Fisherman glared.

"Nothing. Continue."

"Humph. She used to like the fish I cooked when she was little, now I don’t know. But I caught a glimpse of her drinking coffee and eating cake last ti."

The Fisherman went on to say.

Sneaking peeks...

This father and daughter do not seem to be very close.

"What brand were the coffee and cake?"

Liu Zheng had a bad feeling.

"I don’t know, all I rember is that there was an upside-down deer head logo."

The Fisherman said.

I knew it.

He howled in despair, knowing he was in for a round of scalping, ear picking, and face slapping again.

"What are you howling for?"

The Fisherman frowned.

"That coffee isn’t easy to co by."

Liu Zheng told him about the ordeal with Unlucky Coffee.

"That’s it, it’s not like you can’t grow it."

The Fisherman said, not even bothering to look up.

"It still hurts, you know. I’m not a masochist."

"Look at you, acting all delicate. Here, take this."

The Fisherman snapped off one of his fingers and handed it over to him.

"Brother, I didn’t say I wouldn’t go, this seems a bit unnecessary."

Liu Zheng was in a dilemma whether to accept it or not.

"What did you call ?"

The Fisherman narrowed his eyes.

"Fisherman."

"Think again?"

"Uh, father-in-law?"

He ventured timidly.

"You looking to die, kid?"

The Fisherman shouted angrily.

"Then you tell what to call you."

Liu Zheng said with bravado.

"Just call ’uncle’ for now."

The Fisherman hesitated for a bit before responding.

"Alright. Uncle, please take back this finger."

"You think I’m trying to hassle you? This is compensation for you."

The Fisherman said.

"Compensation? And what’s this good for?"

He asked.

The system didn’t pop up with an item description either.

"It’s useless to humans, but useful to fish. Use this finger as a fishhook, and any fish caught by it will be immobilized."

The Fisherman confidently stated.

"And what about rmaids?"

"rmaids too."

"That might actually be useful."

Liu Zheng pocketed it.

If one day he went to the seaside, it could be used to defend against a rmaid princess.

"Keep talking about your daughter."

"That’s all."

The Fisherman shook his head.

"Huh? That’s all you’ve got?"

Even dating websites offered more information than the Fisherman did.

Are these two really related by blood?

"That’s all there is; would I not tell you if I knew more?"

"Well then, at least you must know where she is now, right?"

If the Fisherman had said he didn’t know again, he would have rather had a fall-out than take on the job.

"I do know about that. She’s currently working as so sort of DM at a tabletop ga store, what exactly she does I’m not sure."

Good thing the Fisherman wasn’t that outrageous.

"Oh, I know that."

DM is an abbreviation for dungeon master, which literally ans the city lord of an underground city.

It originally referred to the host of the tabletop ga Dungeons and Dragons, and later beca a generic term for many tabletop ga hosts.

This world actually has tabletop gas?

They wouldn’t actually find a real dragon to play an NPC, would they?

"As long as you know. Here’s the address."

The Fisherman handed him a sticky note.

Seeing the sticky note, Liu Zheng suddenly had an inspiration.

"Uncle, you really want to hit on your daughter, don’t you?"

"Right. If that Huang Mao manages to woo my daughter, I might as well drop dead!"

The Fisherman said through gritted teeth.

"Then you definitely wouldn’t skimp on any effort, would you?"

"What are you up to?"

The Fisherman beca wary.

"You should know that we delivery guys can only go out when we’re delivering food. So, I need you to order so delivery for your daughter, the longer the delivery ti, the better."

Liu Zheng said.

"Fine, is twelve hours enough?"

The Fisherman readily agreed.

"That’s more than enough, Uncle, you’re really aweso."

He gave a thumbs-up.

"For my daughter, I’m all in. But rember, those twelve hours can only be used to hit on my daughter. If you dare use them for anything else, I will turn your lower half into a Fishman, the kind that can’t change back even if you chop it off."

The Fishman said ominously.

"Don’t worry, I, Liu Zheng, might not be good at other things, but my professional ethics are exemplary."

"You can ask Niu Ma, Dai Legao, Napoleon, Ghost Hand, and the others if you don’t believe . When I take their money to do a job, I always deliver."

Liu Zheng said, patting his chest.

"Hmph, if it weren’t for soone vouching for you, would such a good opportunity have co your way? Now get moving. The sewer is starting to notice."

The Fisherman urged.

He looked up at the ceiling where those white tumor-like things began to grow again.

"Right, Uncle, how do I report my progress to you?"

Liu Zheng asked.

"No need; my fingers will keep an eye on you."

The Fisherman said.

Well, it turns out that finger is a surveillance device.

No wonder there was no item description.

"Alright then, I’m off."

He hoisted the four-in-one Fishman and dashed toward the wellhead.

As he ran, he glanced back; the Fisherman had already disappeared.

Only a huge fish tail flickered and vanished above the water’s surface.

Liu Zheng refocused and ran all the harder.

The cosplay costu was still in effect, and he quickly made it back to the wellhead.

He stuck his hooves into the wall and climbed out of the wellhead step by step.

Standing in the delivery tunnel, Liu Zheng was faced with another problem.

Which direction led back to the restaurant?

After thinking it over, he picked a direction purely at random.

Even if it was the wrong way, as long as he didn’t walk back out of the restaurant, it would be fine.

So, he headed toward the direction on his left.

Luckily, he chose correctly and Liu Zheng successfully returned to the break room.

"Look at you, coming back so soon."

Niu Ma lifted his head, then saw the abstract version of himself.

"What the hell, who let you cosplay as ? And you made it look so ugly."

It exploded in rage.

"No choice there, boss. Among the people I know, you’re the handsost and the strongest."

Liu Zheng looked innocent.

"Well, that’s true. You do have good taste in that sense."

Niu Ma’s anger abated.

"But how did you get your hands on a cosplay outfit? That’s Custor Service’s treasure, and that Brit would hardly let us touch it."

It asked curiously.

"Ghost Hand tossed it to ."

"What’s the deal with that guy anyway?"

Niu Ma rubbed its chin.

"Even you don’t know?"

"Where would I find out? It’s been here longer than . The previous delivery guy, aside from telling not to talk to it, said nothing else."

"If I can’t even talk to it, how am I supposed to get any info?"

Niu Ma said irritably.

"Forget it, I’ve already got enough troubles, I don’t need to add another one."

"Indeed. You should really be grateful to Mr. Li."

"If he hadn’t turned you into a Tentacle Monster, with all the trouble you’ve caused, ten lives wouldn’t have been enough."

Niu Ma nodded.

"Heh. I really should thank him, thank his ancestors for eighteen generations."

Liu Zheng said coldly.

He had co to realize Mr. Li’s intention in making him eat the Black Mountain Goat Cub’s eyeball was downright malicious.

If it weren’t for a twist of fate that he heard the Gospel, he might have ended up in Mr. Li’s stomach by now.

Of course, there would be no talk of revenge.

However, given the chance, Liu Zheng wouldn’t mind setting up Mr. Li for a fall.

"By the way, boss, do you know the Fisherman?"

He asked.
