Hearing the angry shouts just outside the door, Du Heng shivered.
Before he could react, the yelling escalated into a heated argunt between two people.
"You still say you’re not sick? Just look at yourself. Don’t you look like you have a ntal illness?" an impatient male voice suddenly exclaid from the door. "You’re causing a scene, getting angry for no reason, and you’ve scared the child so much these past few months that he tiptoes everywhere!"
"That’s because he did sothing wrong," the woman retorted firmly, countering the man’s accusation. "If he hadn’t done anything wrong, would I get angry? Let go of , do you hear?"
Hearing the high-pitched quarrel at the door, Du Heng frowned slightly and rose to walk toward the entrance. Such a commotion was severely disrupting the hospital’s normal order.
BANG.
As Du Heng reached the door, he heard a muffled sound, and simultaneously, a flying shadow brushed past his nose.
Breaking out in a cold sweat, Du Heng clearly saw that what had just flashed before his eyes was the door to his own consultation room; it had been violently shoved open from the outside.
"Dean, are you alright?"
The new doctor, who was inside acting as Du Heng’s secretary, felt his heart lurch as he saw the door fly open. From his angle, it looked as if the flying door panel had slamd right into Du Heng’s face.
Du Heng let out a soft breath. Just as he was about to speak, he saw a man at the doorway manhandling a woman with extre violence—one hand gripping her wrist, the other clutching her neck—dragging her directly toward Du Heng’s office.
Du Heng didn’t know how to describe it. It looked like a mixture of pulling, pushing, and even a bit of lifting.
However, that wasn’t important.
Seeing the man’s aggression and the woman’s fierce resistance, Du Heng’s expression hardened. He imdiately cut through the farcical scene with a cold command:
"Let go! What do you think you’re doing?"
Du Heng’s expression was cold, his tone extrely stern. Standing right at the door, his sudden outburst actually startled the man.
The man turned to Du Heng. He stopped pushing but didn’t stop pulling the woman.
Recognizing Du Heng’s attire, the man imdiately shouted, "Doctor, quickly, take a look at this woman! I think she’s gone crazy!"
Du Heng was even more displeased by the man’s unrelenting actions. "Whatever the issue, let go of her first! Look at yourself! Do you have any idea how this appears? People who know you’re here for a consultation might understand, but those who don’t could think you’re beating your wife! Let go!"
This ti, Du Heng not only reprimanded him sternly but also stepped forward and forcibly separated the couple.
However, the mont he did so, Du Heng imdiately regretted it.
The woman had just broken free. Before Du Heng could even retract his hands, she lunged, aiming a slap at the man’s face. "You %#@&! So what if I’m crazy? What are you going to do about it?"
Swearing and attempting to strike soone in public—it was utterly improper.

However, Du Heng reacted swiftly. The mont the woman erupted, he reached out and pushed down on her face, forcing her back from her lunge.
"What are you doing? What do you think you’re doing? Isn’t this enough?" Du Heng held his arms out, keeping the couple apart, and imdiately said to the new doctor who had co to help, "Go find security, and call the police."
The young doctor started to turn to call for help after the first part of the order, but he froze when Du Heng added the second part.
The new doctor looked at Du Heng in confusion. It’s just an argunt. Is it really necessary to call the police?
Seeing the new doctor’s dazed expression, Du Heng nearly exploded with exasperation. It’s a threat, don’t you get it?
Fortunately, the words "call the police" seed to cow the couple.
Especially the man. He quickly grabbed his wife’s hands again and said apologetically, "Doctor, please don’t. We’re really here for a consultation."

The man grinned sheepishly. "It’s actually our turn now."

Du Heng glanced at the couple but said nothing more. He turned and walked towards his office desk. "If it’s your turn, then co in."
