Back in the Ergency Departnt, after all the monitoring instrunts were connected, Du Heng breathed a sigh of relief as Liang Sen’s vital signs seed stable. "Director Zhou, I’d like to prescribe a dicine to resolve blood stasis and promote regeneration. Would that be okay?"
Not being on his ho turf, Du Heng felt sowhat constrained, having to ask Zhou Yixian’s opinion on everything.
"Of course, no problem. Just treat him according to your plan."
Zhou Yixian paused for a mont, then said seriously to Du Heng, "President Du, after you write the prescription, I hope you can docunt the treatnt process. Please make it as detailed as possible—for example, why you chose this particular acupoint and what precautions are necessary. Would that be convenient for you?"
Du Heng nodded. "There’s nothing inconvenient about it. I’ll write it."
Zhou Yixian imdiately bead. "Excellent! I’ll find a few people to observe and learn. If they have any questions, President Du, I’ll have to trouble you to explain things to them."
Du Heng eyed Zhou Yixian. He’s not just planning to learn, he’s planning to learn thoroughly! "Alright, if there’s anything you don’t understand, just ask ."

Afterward, Du Heng left the Ergency Departnt. Just as he stepped out, Liang Hehai blocked his path. "Du Heng, how is Liang Sen now?"
"He’s fine. He should be transferred to a regular hospital room by this afternoon, and then you can go be with him."
As he spoke, Du Heng spotted two familiar figures. "Liu, what are you doing here?"
Liu Gong chuckled lightly. "How could I not co when soone was nearly beaten to death? Is the person inside okay?"
"He’s out of the critical period. If there are no changes by the afternoon, he’ll be transferred to a general hospital room."
"Good, as long as he’s fine. By the way, is the Director of the Ergency Departnt here? I need to go in and ask about a few things."
"He’s here. Do you want to take you in?"
"No need. You go on with your business. I have so matters to discuss."
Du Heng nodded. "Alright, let’s catch up when we have ti."
As soon as he left the Ergency Departnt, Du Heng called Wu Shengnan.
"I thought you’d left."
"I didn’t, but I did get my car washed." Wu Shengnan showed Du Heng the fruits of her labor. "By the way, how is he?"
"He’s alive and out of danger, though I suspect there might be so minor lasting effects."
"What kind of lasting effects?"
"For example, his hand might twitch from ti to ti, or his mouth might." Du Heng sighed. This was an irreversible injury, and there was truly nothing he could do about it. "Let’s not talk about him anymore," he said. "Let’s go find your brother."
Wu Shengnan didn’t offer Du Heng the driver’s seat and started the car herself. "Right, right! My sister-in-law has already called several tis to hurry us along."
"Did the check-up results co out?"
"They did." Wu Shengnan, while starting the car, glanced oddly at Du Heng. "Just as you said, the problem lies with my brother."
Du Heng wasn’t surprised by this answer. He leaned back against the passenger seat. "How did your brother sound on the phone?"
"My sister-in-law didn’t say explicitly, but from what I gathered, it sounds like he’s taken it pretty hard." Wu Shengnan looked at Du Heng again. "Husband, are you sure you can cure him? If you’re lying, my brother will be devastated."
"Didn’t they ask other doctors if it’s curable?"
"They did, several of them." Wu Shengnan pursed her lips, displeased. "My sister-in-law said the Western dicine doctors couldn’t help. Among the traditional Chinese dicine doctors they consulted, most claid my brother had a kidney problem and advised him to nourish his kidneys. Their approach was completely different from yours. The only doctor whose opinion was similar to yours wasn’t confident and just said they could try."
"I haven’t even taken your brother’s pulse or examined him yet, so I can’t make any guarantees right now."

Du Heng looked at Wu Shengnan with a wry smile. "Those are two completely different things." Then Du Heng explained to her why.
When they arrived at the agreed-upon location, they both tacitly stopped talking.
At this mont, Wu Shengnan’s sister-in-law’s face showed a mixture of relief, acceptance, happiness, and an even more indescribable emotion.
