Pross Town, Wit Castle.
This territory was originally the baronial fiefdom granted to Mage Wit by the Purple Thorn Duke.
Now, after the Higlind family rebelled against the Kas Duchy, this small town has beco their family stronghold.
Geographically, Pross Town is very close to the southern Dark Forest, with a large buffer zone separating it from the Kas Duchy’s border city ’Visalia’. To the north, the Dark Nest and Centaur shield Pross Town from troubles originating from the Kingdom. This location is arguably the safest place on the Wilderness Plains.
From a population and economic perspective, over several years, the Higlind family intentionally relocated more people to Pross Town. Now, Pross Town has nearly fifty thousand residents, and if you include the scattered village populations around the town, it totals to about sixty thousand. This scale of a town can indeed be called a city.
Moreover, as Pross Town is known as the Desert Adventurer’s Town, it boasts the largest number and highest quality of adventurers. Additionally, the invasions of the Centaur and the Dark Nest have caused so adventurers originally making a living in the northern and central wastelands to converge here, further enhancing Pross Town’s prosperity.

Under the current circumstances, for the Purple Thorn Duke, exterminating our Higlind family would not only have no benefits, but it would also an facing pressures from both the Dark Nest and the Centaur Clan...
