Yes, retreat.
In the situation where there is no powerhouse to counterbalance, and the Mother of Deep Red could descend on the Tal Plane at any ti, wherever the Dragon Army of the Crimson Nest marches, the forces there must either submit or retreat.
Staying to resist would only lead to self-destruction.
This retreat tactic seems rely to delay annihilation, but it is also the only strategy left for the Pan-Continental Race Alliance now.
Because this ti, tal Dragon Island does not intend to get involved in this war, no matter how the strong of various races try to persuade them, even if so have good relationships with the tal Dragons there.
Fortunately, though there is no good news from tal Dragon Island, the Crimson Nest hasn’t pressed them too hard either. Every ti they conquer a territory, the Dragon Army pauses to digest, giving a sliver of hope to the Pan-Continent Race Alliance’s leaders and powerhouses.
After all, if they can delay long enough, there is hope of finding a way to turn the tide... even if that hope is slim.
"The continuous expansion of the Crimson Nest is also gradually drawing attention to the Black Wing Nest from the Pan-Continent Race Alliance...." Udi pondered.
The reason is easy to see. Originally, the lands of the continent were divided and occupied by various races. Now, the arrival of the Crimson Nest has taken over the Eastern and Northern regions, ruling over a third of the continent’s total area.
In this situation, the creatures originally living in the East and North who do not wish to be ruled by the Evil Dragon must migrate to other areas, causing a concentration of creatures in the Central Region, leading to insufficient resources and land... thus, the ’spacious’ Southern Continent is naturally eyed by the Pan-Continent Race Alliance.
And as the strongest power in the Southern Continent now—the Black Wing Nest, it naturally becos a target.
In the past few months, the Yalbit Kingdom, which was annihilated by the Sha Hua Fishn led by Commander Babakar, saw a resurgence as Ivan, leading mbers of the Bradley Royal Family, secretly returned to regroup the kingdom’s fractured forces after the mysterious disappearance and retreat of the Sha Hua Fishn, likely aiming to restore the kingdom.
According to reports from spies in the Black Wing Nest, the Bradley Royal Family brought back nurous unfamiliar powerhouses, among whom were Barbarian strongn.
While Udi was contemplating and clarifying the current continental situation and how to respond, Sofia ca in and whispered,
"Master, the Grand Elder Marla of the Erald Forest and the Frost Elf Queen request an audience."
Udi ca back to his senses, and upon hearing this, his expression turned sowhat peculiar.
"Are they the Frost Elves driven out by the Crimson Nest from the Northern Continent?"
"Yes." Sofia nodded.
"Interesting." Udi chuckled, curious to see what those two elves wanted.
...
In the grand hall of the Black Castle.
The Grand Elder Marla of the Erald Forest was conversing with a tall, frost-blue-haired female Frost Elf.
This Frost Elf wore a deep blue crown, exuding a natural regal deanor with her every gesture.
A spatial fluctuation occurred, and the enormous Black Dragon suddenly appeared above the hall’s throne, overlooking the two below.
The Frost Elf Queen was the first to sense the Black Dragon Lord’s arrival, raising her head to look above. Upon seeing the exaggerated Dragon Body of the Black Dragon Lord, her sapphire pupils slightly contracted, and she instinctively touched a patterned ring on her finger, quickly regaining composure and enduring.
"Marla, and..." Udi looked at the Frost Elf Queen.
The Frost Elf Queen responded swiftly, introducing herself with a slight smile, "Denise, Queen of the Northern Frost Elf Kingdom, greeting the Black Dragon King under the Crown."
Udi nodded slightly, sensing a powerful aura from this Frost Elf Queen; undoubtedly, she was a Legendary Powerhouse.
Beside her, the Grand Elder Marla of the Erald Forest courteously replied, then directly stated the purpose,
"Under the Crown, this visit is partly about so comrce matters between the Erald Forest and the Black Wing Nest, and also because Her Majesty Denise requested to see you to discuss a few matters." Marla said cheerfully, his tone humble.
"For comrce matters, you can just discuss with Sofia; there’s no need to report to ." Udi glanced at Marla, dismissively.
He also knew that this was rely an excuse from Marla, and the main issue was indeed the Frost Elf Queen.
Receiving the cue, Marla courteously nodded and then, along with Sofia, proceeded outside to discuss the changes regarding comrce.
Although the comrce matter was just an excuse, the procedure still needed to be followed.
Inside the hall, only the Black Dragon Lord, high on the throne, and the Frost Elf Queen remained.
Both possessed equally strong auras.
However, the Frost Elf Queen Denise soon lowered her head first, humbly saying,
"It is rumored externally that the Black Dragon King’s power reigning over the Black Wing Nest is unparalleled. Previously, I was sowhat skeptical, given the multitude of powerhouses on the continent... Now that I’ve seen Your Majesty the Black Dragon King in person, I realize how narrow-minded I was."
Admittedly, such complints from a queen-level figure like Denise are indeed quite gratifying.
However, though pleasing, Udi didn’t let it get to his head.
The Legendary Elf Queen before him once collaborated with the Frost Giant King to hunt a Legendary White Dragon.
Udi’s power is roughly on par with that Legendary White Dragon, limited in strength, so he remains rather cautious of Denise.
