"What do you an?"
The other Dragon Masters didn't quite grasp Xiani's aning. What did he an by making Lord Fu Zhu one of the Vidyadhara?
One of the Dragon Masters considered a possibility, pointing at Xiani with a trembling finger and a look of disbelief. "Don't tell you want to use the Marvelous thod of Dragon Transformation to turn Lord Fu Zhu into a Vidyadhara? That's impossible! Leaving aside the fact that only Dan Feng knew the Marvelous thod, how could Lord Fu Zhu possibly agree to let us transform him? Aren't you afraid that he will hold a grudge against us for it?"
The others also felt this thod was improper, shaking their heads one after another to reject Xiani's suggestion.
"Indeed. Hanyuan-jun was right that we must not antagonize Lord Fu Zhu, but isn't the thod he proposed a bit too extre?"
"Xiani, you didn't actually agree with Hanyuan-jun, did you? This is too absurd."
Seeing the group chattering away, Xiani stroked his white beard and shot them a glare.
"Silence! You're all so noisy! Can't you just wait for to finish speaking?!"
Being shouted down by Xiani, the Dragon Masters, though sowhat displeased, fell silent. Several pairs of eyes stared intently at him, waiting to hear what better solution he could possibly offer.
Only after they had all quieted down did Xiani speak again, his voice low. "Making Lord Fu Zhu one of us doesn't only an changing his race. Besides, as you all know, if that thod is handled poorly, it will provoke Lord Fu Zhu's resentnt, which is the last thing we need right now."
"Moreover, there are far more options than just that one. First, it is not without precedent in Vidyadhara history for short-life or long-life species to unite in marriage with our people. Second, we can use all sorts of 'evidence' to show that Lord Fu Zhu is a walker on the Path of [Immortality] or one of our own kin. However, this point carries the sa risks as the thod you were just discussing."
"So, what you're saying is, we don't need to change Lord Fu Zhu's race, we just need to make him feel like he's one of us, is that right...?"
Suddenly, one of the Dragon Masters raised his hand. "Speaking of which, I did hear sothing about that!"
"What is it?" Xiani and the others turned in unison to look at the Dragon Master who had just spoken up from the crowd.
The Dragon Master stroked his chin and recalled, "When you told us that Lord Fu Zhu could help our Vidyadhara give birth to newborns, Xiani, I imdiately arranged for soone to investigate Lord Fu Zhu's background."
"In the process, the person I sent happened to hear Lord Fu Zhu say sothing along the lines of, 'I too am a descendant of the dragon.' At the ti, my subordinate rely thought Lord Fu Zhu was joking and didn't pay it much mind, only reporting it to later."
Upon hearing this, Xiani and the others grew ecstatic. Lord Fu Zhu personally claid to be a descendant of the dragon?
Doesn't that an there's a high probability they are kin!
Though excited, Xiani imdiately waved his hand. "Calm down. It might have just been a joke from Lord Fu Zhu, but this is still an opportunity... However, we must first confirm the authenticity of this statent. Hmm... I recall Lord Fu Zhu has a sworn sister? Have soone probe her first. Rember, you must not be impolite to that young lady!"
"As expected of my old bro, there's big news wherever he goes!"
Xing giggled as she looked at a news article on her phone—published by who-knows-who—titled "Naless Allows Vidyadhara to Have Newborns." At first, she wasn't sure, but after she posted the news in their group chat and saw the reactions from Fu Zhu and Dan Heng, she knew it in an instant. This was definitely her old bro's handiwork!
Xing scrolled gleefully through the user comnts below the article, turning her head to nudge March 7th with an elbow. "Little March, your position as the main wife is in jeopardy! Don't be surprised if a Vidyadhara girl shows up with a child to usurp you."
March 7th irritably reached over and locked Xing's phone screen. "Stop looking at this garbage! It'll pollute your brain! These reporters just spin whatever they hear, you can't believe a word of it!"
Xing pouted and turned her back to March 7th, secretly turning her phone back on.
Just then, Guinaifen, who was sitting beside them, covered her mouth with both hands in astonishnt. "Eh? Xing, March 7th, are you family and companions with that legendary Fu Zhu who defeated the Annihilation Gang's Lord Phantylia?"
Hearing Guinaifen's question, Xing turned off her phone, swiveled around, and proudly jabbed a thumb at herself.
"That's right! The Naless who kicked the Annihilation Gang's Lord Phantylia's butt is my old bro! My dearest kin!"
After receiving Xing's definitive answer, Guinaifen shot up from her chair with a swoosh, rushed over to Xing, and grabbed her thumb-pointing hand with both of her own.
"Bestie! Can you join for a livestream, just once! I want to ride the wave of your fa! Please!"
"Livestream? Ride the wave?"
Xing and March 7th exchanged a confused glance. Having spent their days running around with the Express, they didn't really know the first thing about livestreaming.
Guinaifen enthusiastically wrapped an arm around Xing's shoulders, giving her a massage as she explained with passion, "You guys are huge celebrities on the Luofu right now! I want to borrow a little of your fa to get more people to watch my livestream! Can I? Please?"
"Hmm..." Xing stroked her chin for a good while, then snapped her fingers with a smile. "That sounds pretty interesting. And since Sushang is passed out in that hospital bed because of my old bro, consider this the brother's debt paid by the sister. I'll help you out!"
Nearby, after hearing Guinaifen's explanation, March 7th had a better grasp of the situation. Still curious about Guinaifen's streams, she asked, "Little Gui, what are you planning to stream? I heard you and Sushang talking earlier, you're both variety perforrs, right? Don't tell you want us to take Sushang's place and perform 'breaking a stone on the chest'?"
The mont she heard "breaking a stone on the chest," Xing subconsciously pulled open her collar to peek inside, then shook her head with great resolve.
"If it's breaking a stone on my chest, then forget it! I'm pretty well-endowed right now, it'd be a huge loss if it all got smashed flat!"
"Relax, fam!"
Guinaifen, afraid Xing would back out, hastily scurried around to face them. She walked to the hospital bed, yanked back the covers on Sushang, and pointed to her chest. "Look! Shangshang has done 'breaking a stone on the chest' with so many tis, and isn't she still perfectly well-endowed! Besides, I'm not planning to stream that this ti."
Lying in bed, Sushang irritably snatched the blanket back from Guinaifen and grumbled, "Be that as it may, I feel like my brain's getting dumber ever since I started performing with you. I'm pretty sure it's your fault!"
Guinaifen completely ignored Sushang's comnt, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Xing and March 7th.
"So, what do you say, fam?"
March 7th was so intimidated by Guinaifen's passionate attitude that she shrank back, chuckling awkwardly. "Why don't you tell us what you're planning to stream first?"
Guinaifen thought for a mont, and a new idea quickly sparked.
"Got it! I heard that Suiyuan has been haunted lately. How about we do a livestream of a supernatural investigation!"
