"Miss Su, there’s no need to be so resentful."

"Didn’t I give you three days to consider? If you were unwilling, you could have just refused."

"This was a matter of mutual consent. You make it sound as if I forced you," Jiang Lan said leisurely.

Su Qinghan stared at him with her clear eyes, as if trying to determine if his skin had always been this thick.

"Doesn’t your conscience bother you when you say such things, Young Master Jiang?"

After a mont, she asked this question softly.

"Conscience?"

"If I had no conscience, do you think you’d still be standing here, Miss Su, completely unscathed?"

Jiang Lan just smiled casually, his gaze sweeping over her dress, which was as thin as mist. "Coming to see soone in the middle of the night dressed like that... If you ask , it’s you, Miss Su, who has ulterior motives."

"A beauty offering herself to ... are you testing my self-control, or my character?"

Su Qinghan said, "Qinghan naturally trusts Young Master Jiang’s character."

’That being said, she knew this assessnt of his character was just her own stubborn judgnt.’

’Jiang Lan had never claid to be a good person. If he decided to act unscrupulously, she would just have to accept her misfortune.’

’But she still trusted her own judgnt. Soone who could endure years of heart-gnawing pain without ever harming an innocent person couldn’t be all that bad, even if he wasn’t good.’

"Character?"

Jiang Lan suddenly scoffed, looking at her with a fascinated expression. "With such a beauty before , you want to talk about character, Miss Su? How interesting."

Su Qinghan said calmly, "Qinghan trusts Young Master Jiang."

"Then I can only say you’ve put your trust in the wrong person, Miss Su..." Jiang Lan shook his head.

Su Qinghan was a little stunned and confused.

The next mont, Jiang Lan rose and closed the distance, one arm wrapping around her slender waist and the other moving down to scoop up her legs, lifting her directly into his arms in a princess carry.

Before Su Qinghan could even react, her mind still reeling, she could only instinctively reach out and grab Jiang Lan’s shoulders to keep from falling. Her eyes were filled with shock and bewildernt.

’Jiang Lan looked so thin and weak. How could he unleash such terrifying strength?’

But she quickly understood his intentions. Just as she was about to struggle, the Magical Power in her body began to surge.

But a force as imnse as mountains and seas suddenly pressed down, causing her Magical Power to stagnate. In an instant, she was completely immobilized.

"Young Master Jiang..."

Su Qinghan’s glossy, red lips parted slightly. Her clear, autumn-water eyes were filled with astonishnt and confusion. She was about to speak when she felt a powerful force clamp down on her throat, preventing her from making a sound.

A jolt went through her heart.

’Jiang Lan isn’t an ordinary person at all???’

She wasn’t foolish, so she quickly realized her mistake. She had actually treated him as an ordinary person with no cultivation.

Moreover, Jiang Lan had never once shown any sign of having a cultivation base.

But from the current situation, Jiang Lan’s strength was clearly terrifying—far beyond what she, who had just broken through to the Illuminating Nether Realm of the Fourth Realm, could ever hope to resist.

"The night is long, Miss Su. There’s no need to be so impatient. I have all the ti in the world."

Jiang Lan chuckled softly. Ignoring Su Qinghan’s wide, beautiful eyes, he carried her and brazenly walked out of the main hall.

The night wind blew, lifting her waterfall of black hair, making it impossible to see the expression on her face. Only Jiang Lan could feel the slight clenching of her teeth.

The many maids and guards standing outside lowered their heads and averted their eyes, acting as if they saw nothing at all.

"The Su Mansion really couldn’t wait, could they..."

"Afraid that Young Master Jiang would go back on his word, so they sent their daughter over this early."

"After tonight, the die is cast. The Su Mansion is about to soar. In the future, we’ll have to be very polite when we see them."

In a distant pavilion, the City Lord of Yu Yi City sighed at the sight, his words filled with undisguised envy and unwillingness.

The middle-aged man next to him spoke respectfully, "City Lord, you needn’t worry. Everyone knows this Young Master Jiang loves the new and tires of the old. He goes through won faster than flipping through a book. He might like this Su Qinghan for a few days, but what about after that?"

"The Su Mansion won’t be happy for long. Once Young Master Jiang gets tired of her, Su Qinghan will just be casually tossed aside."

The City Lord of Yu Yi City nodded in agreent but still said worriedly, "You have a point. But this Su Qinghan is no simple character. She’s full of tricks and sches. What if she really manages to get a hold on Young Master Jiang?"

"Then the Su Mansion will really be shitting and pissing on everyone’s heads here in Yu Yi City."

"Su Qinghan has always been aloof, proud, and condescending. She acts pure as ice and jade, broke through to the Fourth Realm at a young age, and even joined the Dao Cang Sword Sect. She never even gave her own fiancé the ti of day. But tonight, she specifically changed into this dress and is pretending to be so weak little woman..."

"Tsk, tsk. Her thods are anything but simple."

"City Lord, that’s where you don’t understand. This is called waiting for the highest bidder. In my opinion, that poor sap Lin Fan was probably killed because Su Qinghan whispered poison in Young Master Jiang’s ear..."

As the two were talking, they suddenly felt a serene and chilling aura erge.

Faint frost and snow seed to condense and fall from the sky, and even the night wind turned bone-chillingly cold.

"Shut up."

A faint, ethereal figure appeared silently in the pavilion.

A powerful and terrifying pressure caused the expressions of the two n to change. They imdiately fell silent and then scrambled to leave the area.

Li ngning calmly withdrew her gaze, then sat down in the pavilion, cradling her Long Sword. She gently closed her eyes and resud her cultivation. Wisps of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi drifted toward her, making her skin appear like snow and her presence like the moon.
