The mont BS Rita turned and ran, the players instinctively chased after her.
Who wouldn’t? She was carrying three divine relics.
As the players surged forward, the hunters of Isolated Isle were forced to follow. With most of their skills sealed, these players were nearly impossible to kill once their abilities were partially restored.
Maple Syrup moved the fastest. She even closed in front of Y128, but Rita and B80 had already leapt onto Nivalis’s back.
Nivalis’s stats had already matched Rita’s through For Her Perfection. Under the effect of Arrogance, her lowest attribute, Constitution, had climbed into double digits. She did not have Temporary Reallocation, but B80 did have a skill that could temporarily swap a target’s four primary attributes.
B80 imdiately swapped Nivalis’s Constitution with her Agility. Her speed now crushed every player on the battlefield, as long as those players weren’t using stat-doubling skills.
"I’m going to cry, B80! You actually did sothing useful!" Nivalis shouted.
"...My battery is almost gone," B80 replied faintly.
"I take it back. When we get back to BS, I’m listing you on a discount platform," Nivalis said.
The heavy beat of wings cut through the wind. Arguing the whole ti, the ice dragon carried BS Rita and B80 straight into the sky.
Y128 froze as the players, pets, and The chanoids sprinted past it. So stopped to attack it, but Y128 ignored them. It just stared up at the dragon, dumbfounded.
Rain, snow, wind, lightning. A rainbow stretched across the horizon. A shimring mirage lay beneath it. All of these were weather phenona triggered by BS Rita’s SSS-tier skills.
She left these behind as she rose into the sky.
The tiny sunflower sprouting from Y128’s head wobbled violently in the dragon’s updraft. Rain and snow from BS Rita’s parting weather effects weighed down its petals until it drooped, looking ready to wither at any mont.
Y128’s bright little eyes dimd.
Had it run too slowly?
Had it forgotten to tell BS Rita that after The chanoids went on strike, the Snowfield Pact had no effect on it anymore... aning it no longer disliked her?
But its thoughts froze when the golden rain curtain reflected in its eyes grew brighter.
The ice dragon was turning back.
The silhouettes on its back grew bigger. They were coming closer, fast.
The dragon swooped down, skimming so close to the sand that the grit exploded upward, and the world dissolved into a haze of yellow dust. In the blink of an eye, everything went dark. A bubble suddenly enveloped Y128. Rain, snow, and sand struck the bubble and burst into tiny sparks of starlight.
Golden rain dusted its fra. A pale, slender hand shot downward, grabbed the little flower on its head—Tick-Tock Bloom—and with a soft laugh and the words, "How do you always end up last getting beaten? So dumb," Y128 was jerked onto the dragon’s back.
If these words were entered alone into a database, the classification would be reprimand. But compared to their first eting, the tone felt more like teasing.
Yet she spoke softly, her voice warm at the end. The hand that hauled Y128 up stayed on its back, steadying it as though afraid it might fall. Its emotional-analysis program filled with rows of corrupted data.
"Not all The chanoids can be as clever as ," B80 comnted proudly.
"It has three digits. You have seven. Anyone can see who’s the cheap model," Nivalis said.
"...Your in-ga gear is gone," B80 muttered.
"I am sorry. I spoke too loudly!" Nivalis corrected instantly.
Y128 sat quietly beside Rita, clutching the corner of her cloak while watching the chaos around them.
Rita looked back occasionally. A few players were still chasing, but they were already fighting each other. Compared to BS Rita, who had an absurd number of skills, Maple Syrup—who wielded a divine relic—was far easier to kill.
Once she shook them off completely, Rita began adjusting the cooldowns on her two owl artifacts. She tossed them into her ga machine, accelerated ti inside, and waited for their abilities to recharge.
It was a pity she couldn’t put Player Relics inside. If she could, Echoes of the Snowbound Realm could be used several tis a day.
When the cooldowns finished, she pulled the owl artifacts out and used them to refresh her key skills.
Nivalis glanced back. "So who do you want next?"
Clearly, soone familiar with Rita would never believe she had given up that easily.
Rita opened the ladder rankings. Only twenty-one nas remained.
Dawn-Cicada
TingoAutumn Deer
Fury-Prayer
Nuclear FlashNightFury
Sakura Orange White...
Her gaze moved back and forth.
The strongest ones she couldn’t take.
The ones she could take weren’t suitable for BS.
She forced herself to swallow her greed.
Yes, she could kill so of them in the chaotic battlefield. But BS could not withstand more factions right now.
Just Pine Bloom, Mistblade, and Crab were enough to consu her ti with negotiations and managent.
Once she fully escaped the battlefield and the adrenaline faded, her mind sharpened. She imdiately sent new orders to Lightchaser’s sprite:
Stop chasing last hits. Focus on helping Lightchaser and Ash Cinders kill players. Avoid the killing blow at all costs.
But it was too late.
Player BS Rita has killed Player DawnSmoke Tune. DawnSmoke Tune will join BS and be renad BS Smoke Tune.
DawnSmoke Tune has been identified as the leader of Dawn. Her city will transfer to BS. Her followers may choose to follow her.
Rita froze.
DawnSmoke Tune was on her list of absolutely unsuitable players.
DawnSmoke Tune was only Level 14, yes. But she was Vineborne—and from Dawn. That alone made her dangerous.
She asked quickly, "B80, Y128, do you know anything about DawnSmoke Tune?"
B80 answered, "She’s Dawn-Cicada’s older sister."
Rita frowned. She was already calculating how to get rid of DawnSmoke Tune without harming BS’s ordinary population.
"I know," Y128 said, eager to contribute. "DawnSmoke Tune is a life-skill player obsessed with research. Her philosophy is similar to Lania Kaia Fat Goose. She believes war will never truly end, so her ideal is to create more entertainnt so her people can live happily every day.
"The difference is, the Vineborne don’t answer to her. She beca a leader only because of Dawn-Cicada. She has the title but no real power.
"In Dawn, Dawn-Cicada’s throne is built on blood and bone. Her worshippers cannot understand DawnSmoke Tune’s idealistic views. To them, she represents cowardice and escapism.
"But Fat Goose is different. As the Candlebeast with the highest authority, even if his ideas are strange, every ti he returns from the Divine Ga, he evolves his entire race. So no one questions him. They even embrace his toys and entertainnt projects."
