From the mont she first heard about war skills, Rita had been imagining what kind of abilities could surpass Divine Skills.

The instant the battle flag dissolved, she got her answer.

Snowfield orbited Dawn Cicada as she stood there, arms hanging loosely at her sides before spreading slightly. A system notification hit Rita at the sa ti.

[Dawn Cicada has activated the war skill Re Registration]

[BS Rita and all mbers of her race have had their level and attributes reset to initial values and have lost their God Granted Talents for one minute]

The mont she heard reset to initial values, Rita moved.

Without hesitation, she pulled every scattered strand of lightning back toward herself and struck.

Even after she reached the edge of the arena, cold sweat still soaked her back.

She did not dare imagine how many players back on BS had been grinding levels when that second hit.

"So war skills can directly affect a world leader and her entire race?" she asked, turning to Mistblade for confirmation.

Mistblade corrected her calmly. "Even without a world leader, it still works. As long as you enter the descent phase, war skills can be used."

"And world skills affect the world itself?"

"Yes. This is the real battlefield of the strong, not the children’s ga from before."

The answer ca from Dawn Cicada. Her eyes glead with exhilaration as she announced, "When this ga ends and you join Dawn, I will let SmokeTune take over everything in BS until I descend. Your performance in Dawn will determine the fate of your people."

After Dawn Cicada left, Mistblade frowned and asked Pine Bloom, "She did not even spare . I am in BS. Since when does SmokeTune get a turn?"

Pine Bloom snapped, "Exactly. What about , the Adjudicator?"

Crab chid in, "Exactly. I am Tier 18."

Rita said flatly, "I am not dead yet."

She let out a cold laugh and walked away. Once she stabilized the situation, she would settle accounts one by one.

At that mont, B80’s reply arrived.

"It is fine. It lasted one second. Everyone thought it was a ga bug. No casualties reported, and nothing ca up on the network I am linked to."

Rita’s expression did not relax.

Was she supposed to endure this every round?

Did war skills even have cooldowns?

She stood at the stern, staring at a ruined dock they had just passed.

Cut the Moonlight was already SSS rank, yet nothing had changed.

Was she supposed to just wait? Wait for a miracle?

If she boarded Dawn Cicada’s ship and Dawn Cicada really did reach first place, or even just the top ten, then as one of her worlds, combined with Soul Catcher and the Pay Raise theory, she could theoretically take first as well.

The shattered moon that looked like a jade bracelet drifted farther away.

Then Rita suddenly did sothing no one expected.

She left the war cruise ship.

Golden lightning exploded beneath her feet as she charged toward the moon. Her well defined fingers brushed lightly against the moon hanging above the dock.

[You are being watched] [You are being watched] [You are being watched] [You are being watched]

A flood of alerts detonated inside her mind.

Flower of Deceit.

The sun emblem on the black collar dimd.

The broken moon transford into a golden apple and dropped into her palm.

Deep blue waves traced the outline of a ship’s wheel beside her, and she reappeared on the deck of the war cruise ship.

Even though she moved fast enough, the whole sequence still took three seconds. Her attributes dropped by one percent.

Dawn Cicada, who had not gone far, turned back at the disturbance and saw a scene that had already traumatized her.

BS Rita was eating a golden apple again.

Who had she victimized this ti?

Whispers rippled through the nearby players, and the answer quickly ford.

She had eaten the moon above a world dock.

As the world buzzed around her, Rita pulled out the Foolishness Ga from the gacha machine. She flicked the cylinder. Inside lay a single golden bullet.

During the Player Relic duel, the two golden bullets nad Foolishness and Arrogance had both been spent.

After leaving Player Relic, she had kept this revolver with her at all tis. Every decision she made happened under its watch. She had been trying to force actions that went against her instincts, hoping the bullet would return.

But it never did.

Giving Snowfield to Mistblade. Promising Pine Bloom that she would beco Adjudicator after her death. Making the little seahorse the mascot. Trading with Isolated Isle.

None of it brought the golden bullet back.

None of it had gone against her instincts.

Until the mont she went to Dragon Island and learned from Holy Cup and North Year how to send Nivalis back.

That was when she betrayed her instincts, and Foolishness returned to her hand.

The realization had shaken her. Terrified her.

But Holy Cup seed to see through it all. The dragon who had never liked her gently coiled a tail around her and said, "Do not be afraid of yourself. You are not unwilling. You just do not want to die alone."

The battlefield was so loud. How could she be lonely? Nonsense.

She flicked the cylinder back into place and raised the Foolishness Ga to her temple.

Click.

Lucky. The first chamber was empty.

The one percent attribute loss from leaving the war cruise ship returned.

She finished the golden apple. Unlike last ti, there was no imdiate gain, but Wrathful Moon flew out again. Starlit smoke spilled from both of Rita’s eyes, glowing with moonlight as it stread into the lantern.

This ti the speed was hundreds, thousands of tis faster than before.

SVIP benefits hitting all at once.

The process lasted about five minutes. Rita could no longer hold herself upright and sank to the deck, leaning against Nivalis.

When she opened her eyes again, she was surrounded by faces.

Pine Bloom said, "You are awake?"

Maple Syrup sang, "BS Adjudicator is awake."

Mistblade asked, "Are you alright, Adjudicator? Do you need support?"

Maple Syrup snapped, "Just help her. Do not ask. You really have no sense."

Mistblade added, "Adjudicator has worked hard. No wonder BS developed so well."

Fat Goose sighed, "I am really jealous of you, BS Crab."

Crab nodded vigorously, "Yeah yeah."

Rita said nothing.

It was a painfully familiar scene.

Not far away, Dawn Cicada watched in shock, trying to eavesdrop.

She knew BS Mistblade well. Mistblade had once reached Tier 19. But when Mistblade was still Lania Kaia Mistblade, she had not been like this at all.

She had completely assimilated.
