Now reading: Chapter 1096 Divine Game My World 41 from This Life, I Will Be the Protagonist, a Drama novel by Catlove12Fish.

Rita recalled B80 once saying that the Divine Ga was a playground for gods.

She had believed that too. She had been angry, resentful, and had even argued with Foolishness over it.

Now she was no longer so certain, but she did not ask B80 again.

What B80 knew was not necessarily the truth. Or perhaps it was the truth as B80 saw it, a reality deliberately shown by the gods to all beings and existences, a misunderstanding the gods never bothered to correct.

Wait a little longer.

Rita closed her eyes and took a deep breath, telling herself to be patient a bit longer.

The Shrine Quiz from the previous ga proved that the gods did not intend to keep them in the dark forever. The ti simply had not co. Knowing too much right now would an nothing.

She looked at the jar of soul fla.

Before, the soul fla had helped suppress the surging emotions within her. Then it suddenly stopped doing so. After that, the accumulation speed of those Brilliance fragnts only grew faster.

She rembered B80 saying long ago that intense emotions were a source of power. It made her wonder whether that earlier suppression had never been suppression at all, but absorption, ant to open that mysterious space for her.

Day forty five of the ga.

A Brilliance shard covered in sharp facets fell into the jar, filling the final gap.

For the third ti, she appeared in that mysterious space.

The Idealist Who Turns a Deaf Ear stood once more beneath the star filled sky.

She turned to look back at the path she had taken. Unlike before, every node she had passed and abandoned was lit again, as if waiting for her to return.

Ahead of her, three roads appeared once more.

This ti, she did not need to guess. Each option ca with an explanation, as if assuming her earlier choices had been made without truly understanding their aning.

Killing Prohibited (World Skill) (★★★★)

After activation, you may mark one race. Players of that race cannot initiate any form of attack against you, your kin, or your world. This effect lasts for twenty Divine Ga cycles. Each use consus twenty units of World Sigh. Up to three races may be marked at the sa ti. No cooldown. (This skill can only be used by BS Rita.)

No More Than a Grain of Dust (World Skill) (★★★★)

After activation, your world will hide within the chaotic star sea and cannot be connected to or locked onto by any world. If a connection already exists, it will be temporarily severed. This effect lasts for ten Divine Ga cycles. Each use consus thirty units of World Sigh. No cooldown. (This skill can only be used by BS Rita.)

These were the first and second choices, and each of them made her heart race.

Her earlier decisions had shaped this mont. There were no war skills here, only defensive world skills.

Either of these world skills could resolve BS’s current predicant.

And the third.

The third choice that always pierced her. The one she dreaded and yet anticipated the most.

Beyond the Sequence (?) (★★★★★★★)

After activation, your kin will lose their god given talents and player status. In exchange, your kin and your world will beco immune to harm from all players until everything ends. This skill can only be used once. It requires ten thousand units of World Sigh and allows advance paynt. (This skill can only be used by BS Rita.)

Rita laughed in anger. That was her first reaction after reading it.

Even though no one else was there, she could not help complaining aloud.

"This is not what I want."

A massive sigh echoed through the entire space.

Rita understood it.

That mysterious unknown seed at a loss with her. It asked her what she wanted.

I gave you the best choices. Why are you still not satisfied.

I even deliberately preserved your player status and your god given talent. Why are you still not satisfied.

You refuse to fight, yet you cling to power and refuse to withdraw.

You are too greedy.

"No. I just do not like settling."

"You are being stubborn. You are obsessed with power, so you assu BS players cling to power as well. You reject war and destruction, so you assu they reject war and destruction too."

"But the way the ga grants you power is through killing and destruction. Escaping war ans escaping the path to power. Wanting to stay away from Warfire and Lant while continuing to enjoy the ga is impossible. Put away your hypocritical fantasies."

"Either join or leave. You cannot have everything."

The unknown struck at the core of the issue.

Abandon those false, naive, and ridiculous convictions. Join the war. That was how the ga was ant to be played. Players should play the ga. Otherwise, leave.

"Everyone obeys the rules here. No one judges another’s sins. No one praises you for your kindness. So what is it that you actually want."

...

Lightchaser sat atop the war cruise ship, gazing toward the end of the river of ti. Her BS orb continued to circle her slowly.

Her invasion sequence and counter invasion sequence were both empty. Two small black haired figures sat on the planet, nibbling on little biscuits.

Even though the players on the ship were distracted by BS Rita’s situation, the ga continued. Forty five days was enough ti for all players without sufficient strength to lose their qualification.

Many players had unlocked war skills. Lightchaser had no way to counter them directly. Yet her performance remained decent.

Whether invading or being invaded, when facing players with war skills, she only needed to avoid direct invasion battles. As long as she wanted to, she could do that.

With the resources and subsidiary worlds she accumulated early on, along with the strong performance of her key players, her BS had developed fairly well. Relying on natural invasion progress alone, she could complete invasion after invasion and counter invasion, maintaining her qualification.

The only downside was that this pace was slow.

She had already fallen beyond rank two hundred ninety.

But this was likely her best result. She could no longer find suitable worlds to invade or be invaded by.

anwhile, DawnCicada and Tiger Ear Kessa were both in the top ten.

She had not felt this kind of frustration and helplessness in many years.

Ash Cinders spoke from behind her. "This is the first ti I have seen you look this defeated. I thought seeing an unbeatable powerhouse and skills you have never seen before would excite you. Did it hurt your pride."

His gray white hair and cloak fluttered in the wind.

The elf replied, "Maybe."

Moonbear sat down beside her. "You are thinking about what happens if she gets claid by one of those two players and taken to their world, right."

Before the elf could answer, a new notification sounded across the war cruise ship.

Player BS Mistblade has purchased a special item (Target Player). She has marked BS Rita as her target for this Divine Ga. If BS Mistblade finishes within the top ten, the target player will be transford into a Moon Fox and transferred to BS.

Ash Cinders laughed. "Looks like you are not the only one worried about that."

She opened the ladder rankings and found BS Mistblade in the top ten.

Thinking of sothing, Ash Cinders scrolled down for a long while and found BS Pine Bloom and BS Crab. Behind both of their nas was the note (Honor for this ga belongs to BS Mistblade).
