Now reading: Chapter 1120 Divine Game: Quiet Mountain 3 from This Life, I Will Be the Protagonist, a Drama novel by Catlove12Fish.

The news of a second BS Rita in the 7th domain spread quickly.

All players began to realize that sothing was off. Even if Quiet Mountain and Uncharted Star Sea were two sides of the sa universe, with such a long tiline, at which point did the two worlds sync up? Was BS Rita’s entire lineage sohow destined for this? How did generations of ancestors, over the course of so many years, end up with a one-to-one recreation of BS Rita?

If not, then the appearance of a second BS Rita in Quiet Mountain made even less sense.

Moreover, the BS Rita that BS SmokeTune saw was different in both personality and power from the BS Rita of Uncharted Star Sea. This anomaly was probably connected to the Order Badge. Players from the 7th domain had already started heading to BS.

Players from other domains had not yet moved. The 7th domain was showing signs of unusual activity, but it was possible that other domains were experiencing their own irregularities.

After learning about the existence of another version of herself, Rita had to find a way to disguise herself again.

The hair color change skill had beco useless once she entered the main city. She hadn’t expected the city to be so strict—beauty-enhancing skills weren’t spared either.

Rita mixed up so potions and used them to apply makeup, changing the shape of her eyes and lips as much as possible. She needed to make sure no one who recognized BS Rita would start investigating her.

Although Uncharted Star Sea had helped her put up a layer of disguise, it had vanished the mont she entered the main city.

If Uncharted Star Sea and Quiet Mountain were having a showdown, it was clear that the latter had anticipated players infiltrating from the forr and had already made counterasures. But had Quiet Mountain given their players any hints about this?

However, leaving the city now wasn’t an option. It wasn’t like she could hide outside the city and do nothing for the rest of the ga.

If it had been her right after respawning, she would have left imdiately...

But now, with the danger looming, Rita didn’t just stop at makeup. She also took all her important equipnt, including the divine relic Player Relic, and stored them in a capsule machine. She shrank it down to the size of a tooth and hid it in the empty space she had created earlier when she installed the Magician’s Denture.

The capsule machine could ignore skills, aning that even if she got unlucky and was caught by another player, she could avoid detection from skills that searched for equipnt.

After preparing, Rita found a restaurant by the street, where she ate to regain her strength while observing the pedestrians.

Her earlier assumption, shared with Verdant Verdant Whisper and Windrush, turned out to be sowhat off. The highest level among the players she saw was no more than level 50, with most of them being in the 20-30 range. At least half of the beings were regular humans.

This situation resembled what she had seen in Binast years ago—only a small portion of people could awaken divine talents to beco players, and others advanced slowly.

Although there was still cri and monsters with brutal personalities, there wasn’t an imdiate existential crisis threatening all living beings. Most players leveled up through their daily routines—apprentices attending classes in the Moonlight Marsh, learning to paint, brew potions, and forge weapons. When you paid attention to the world around you and absorbed useful knowledge and skills, you gained experience. It felt more like absorbing energy than fighting battles.

You were an essential part of the world, and it nurtured you.

But this kind of experience gain was still far slower compared to combat or intensive, high-frequency teaching.

Thus, high-level players were rare. Most were teachers, experts in their respective fields, or adventurers like Lightchaser.

So where was that unlucky guy Verdant Verdant Whisper and Windrush?

Rita took a sip of flower tea and activated an old skill she had obtained a long ti ago—Whispers in the Wind.

—This skill allows the user to catch secrets carried by the wind. Each use costs 50% of health and 50% of mana. Cooldown ti is 7 natural days.

It was an S-level skill with many drawbacks.

A gust of wind, seemingly from nowhere, swept her long hair up, and a voice, almost like a chant, echoed in her ears.

"This year, only a little over three hundred Vineborne were born..."

Rita froze. Was that a secret? Yes, for her, it was indeed a secret, but why so few?

Was it to balance out the "consumption" caused by the lack of wars in this world? That was a possibility. If Quiet Mountain birthed vast numbers of creatures every year, this world might not be able to sustain itself.

She quickly sent this information to the battlefield chat. Her contribution points increased by 20.

This also served as a way to check whether the information was accurate and significant.

Just as she was about to leave to find more clues, a figure sat down across from her.

The person asked coldly, "What are you doing here in Beacon looking like that? Where did you get the Vine props?"

Rita felt a chill run down her spine. She steadied her expression and turned to look at the source of the voice.

Silver-haired, red-eyed DawnCicada?!

The pure white Vine was winding around this person like a snake. The vine itself hadn’t changed, but the Vineborne’s vine always reflected its owner’s soul and personality. Though Rita had never seen DawnCicada’s original vine, she knew that the two she had seen later matched this one.

The DawnCicada in front of her wore a gloomy and cold expression, with a faint hint of the Uncharted Star Sea DawnCicada she knew.

It was just like SmokeTune had said, "It’s you, but not you."

The Uncharted Star Sea DawnCicada was full of life—whether it was her confronting Deceitful Bloom, or her cold refusal to reshape Beacon to enjoy her victory in Dawn, or her passionate love and hate that burned everyone who witnessed her during the SmokeTune incidents.

But the DawnCicada before her was different. She seed weary of the world, of everything she encountered. As she spoke to Rita, her gaze was casually fixed on the bustling street outside the window.

It was as though she wasn’t interested in finding answers to the questions at hand. She simply happened to run into soone familiar, and said sothing out of politeness.

Quiet Mountain didn’t just have a second BS Rita—it also had a second DawnCicada? Whether they were on good terms or not was unclear, but they definitely knew each other.

Rita’s mind spun. She didn’t hesitate for even a second between fleeing or pretending to be the Quiet Mountain BS Rita. She chose the latter.

Running away could risk alerting her enemies. Staying might give her more information—if she couldn’t gather anything, it would be easy to leave later...

Rita responded with a cold "Mm" and continued to observe this DawnCicada.

She seed to be doing well here.

Rita couldn’t access her information directly, but she could sense an oppressive aura surrounding her, just as intense as the one from Uncharted Star Sea’s DawnCicada. Every Vineborne who passed by seed to look at her with a mix of admiration and affection.

Not long after she sat down, the restaurant owner personally brought over a variety of dishes Rita hadn’t seen on the nu.

Everything proved that DawnCicada held a high position in Quiet Mountain. Her reputation was clearly significant.

Beacon was still standing, and the Vineborne were living happily. This was the scene that Uncharted Star Sea’s DawnCicada had always dread of, but why wasn’t the DawnCicada of Quiet Mountain happy?

After hearing her own answer, DawnCicada didn’t speak again. She simply stared out the window at the lively street scene.
