What kind of nonsense was she saying again? Rita decided she would look it up after the match.

Clearing one’s mind was basic training. Whether in alchemy or combat, it was essential.

Once Rita fully focused on the fight and pushed the clock out of both her sight and awareness, she felt it imdiately.

Her speed was coming back.

Maybe only to fifty percent of normal, but it was far better than before.

However, Absurd Story was still not "unsealed."

Because it had never been sealed.

Under hypnosis, she had used her own settings to disable its passive effect.

The hypnosis had already taken hold. She could not undo it.

Partial recovery was not enough.

She was still being pushed back.

With her vision gone, she could only rely on instinct and sound to track Lightchaser’s movents.

And Lightchaser, as a legendary assassin, could move without disturbing even a breath of wind if she wished.

Flower Crown Murder scattered.

Rita used the petals to search for her.

Within the dense white rain of flowers, the battle shifted.

No longer a one sided chase.

The student began to fight back.

Everything returned to the beginning.

Just like Lightchaser’s earlier match with Cinders.

No skills.

Just blades.

Rita gripped the twin daggers issued by Divine Ga and stepped forward.

Defeat.

Bloodletting.

Throat Cut.

Backstab.

Bone Carve.

Spell Break.

Wildfire.

Under the Star Sea, atop the clock arena, both of them wielded the sa weapons.

The sa techniques.

White petals swirled with their movents, tracing arcs through the air or bursting like fireworks.

The gap in health began to close.

Bit by bit.

Until finally, it evened out.

50:50

Neither of them spoke.

Neither of them slowed.

Rita held nothing back.

Just like she had thought back in GodDraw77.

Lightchaser did not need pity.

But she would no longer look up at her either.

The daggers flashed under the scattered starlight, leaving streaks of silver in the air.

Until...

"Congratulations. Player BS Rita wins."

The drifting petals gathered back into a vine.

Lightchaser’s cloak fell still.

The golden lightning ribbon over Rita’s eyes loosened and dropped.

The fight was over.

Yet neither of them left the arena.

Divine Ga did not rush them either.

Because at that mont, both of their divine talents ignited again.

A crown.

A cluster of stars.

Massive projections ford behind them.

Sovereign and Lightchaser.

The stands fell silent.

Everyone was thinking about those two divine talents.

And about the final ranking of this ga.

Even though it was only the second day, with dozens of matches still to co...

The answer already seed clear.

BS Rita.

She had defeated Mistblade, Lightchaser, Cicada, Prayer, and NightFury.

Who else could it be?

Lightchaser’s strength had been shocking.

But Rita had still won.

And after Undead Wildfire disappeared, there was still a noticeable amount of soul fla left within her divine talent.

No one could say for sure whether her ability was limited to summoning another version of herself.

More importantly, she stood there now with eyes closed.

The light between her brows was shifting.

Her soul fla was slowly increasing.

The growth was not as explosive as before.

But she was already ahead of everyone else.

The lightning ribbon over her eyes dissolved into golden rain, falling gently over both teacher and student.

The cot cluster above Rita’s brow had about one third of its outline lit.

But the soul fla within, flowing and burning like sothing alive, filled only one fifth.

Divine Talent Sovereign

Progress 32 percent

Soul Fla 22 of 32

You rule all. You decide all. You shape all.

Ability

Save and Load. Everything connected to you deserves to be recorded.

A two percent increase was not enough to unlock a new ability.

That made her curious about Lightchaser.

Her crown was already half lit.

Surely her power was not just sothing like "what Lightchaser wants, Lightchaser gets."

After confirming her own progress, Rita quietly waited.

Then she saw it.

Lightchaser’s crown had reached nearly eighty percent.

Eighty.

After just one match.

Was she really that much of a genius?

The mont Lightchaser opened her eyes, Rita flashed to her side.

Just as expected, Lightchaser showed no resentnt.

No jealousy.

She was not pleased, of course.

She rarely was.

But she did not bla her student.

Nor regret teaching her.

Rita stared at her in disbelief.

"Your progress is already at eighty percent?"

Lightchaser folded her arms and started walking back to the stands. She glanced at the cot cluster on Rita’s forehead, her mood improving slightly.

"Yeah. So?"

"That was just one match."

"Yeah. Was that not long enough?"

"...Lightchaser, you are really annoying sotis."

"Thanks. You are annoying even when you are not talking."

They returned to the stands, bickering.

Rita was imdiately intercepted by Queque and Dawn Cicada, both eager to ask about the other tiline.

Lightchaser stopped beside Cinders and gave her a smug smile.

"My divine talent progressed faster than yours."

Here we go again.

Cinders smiled helplessly.

As the next match began, she spoke softly.

"The world chases you, and you chase the sun. Is that it?"

"Gross. Keep your voice down. I will never admit the second half. And I have not even fully awakened it."

Cinders laughed.

Her laughter drew Rita’s attention.

Surrounded by her classmates, Rita leaned back slightly and looked over.

Cinders waved.

Rita imdiately grinned and waved back, even throwing in a wave for Lightchaser.

But judging from her reaction, Lightchaser must have made so irritating expression again.

Halfway through the wave, Rita’s smile dropped, and she turned away in annoyance.

"Then perhaps part of your ideal is still out of reach," Cinders said with a quiet smile.

Matches continued one after another.

The pairings were completely random.

Sotis a player would fight three matches in a row.

But since the Star Sea restored health, soul fla, and reset all cooldowns, consecutive battles did not affect performance.

Rita, however, was now cornered in the stands by multiple players.

All of them wanted to hear about the Undead Wildfire tiline.
