The ability to temporarily seal another player's items was undeniably powerful.
Rita didn't sleep for two full days and nights, following QM Foolishness's instruction step by step, until she finally pushed the skill to SSS rank.
Stasis Mont (SSS): "When we et, it is as though body and shadow embrace for a fleeting instant." Control your own shadow. When your shadow entangles a magical item, it can silence it for 3 seconds. This effect can only trigger once per minute.
Since it directly targeted items, it didn't matter whether the opponent had broken free from divine gifts or not.
Even at SSS rank, this skill could completely shift the outco of a battle.
The second technique she learned was even more absurd.
Borrowed Future (Divine Skill): "Burst once, just for ." Apply this skill to any magical item to force all of its abilities into a temporary eruption. It ignores rank limits and greatly amplifies all effects. Duration: 5 minutes. After the burst ends, the skill enters a dormant state for 24 hours, which cannot be reduced by any ans.
By now, Rita had already spent seven days in QM Foolishness's Graveyard of Bones.
She had to leave.
QM Foolishness stood nearby, clearly reluctant. Not just unwilling to part with the coin, but also unwilling to lose soone she could actually talk to.
"Stay a few more days," she tried again. "I can teach you more. You're the smartest being I've t besides Foolishness, and I'm the smartest undead will in Graveyard of Bones. Why go waste ti out there?"
"I really can't," Rita said. "I still need to find Lynx Duke and the King."
"But you have Cat's Ideal. You can co back anyti."
"Exactly," Rita replied. "I can co back anyti."
She had thought about it. If she couldn't find Lynx Duke and the King this run, she could always return later using Absolute Freedom.
But an SSS-rank Cat's Ideal wasn't guaranteed to bring her back to Graveyard of Bones. Even with Borrowed Future boosting it, it still wasn't reliable enough.
She needed to upgrade Cat's Ideal to the King level first.
Compared to the possibility of freely returning here in the future, nothing QM Foolishness could offer right now was enough to change her mind.
Rita reached out, trying to pry the coin from QM Foolishness's hand.
"It's almost 7:22. Send back to the starting point, teacher."
She could use Cat's Ideal to leave, but QM Foolishness could also instantly relocate her. Since they got along well, it was better to avoid force.
QM Foolishness tightened her grip on the coin.
Rita added quickly,
"If I still have ti after upgrading my two divine relics, I'll co back."
That finally worked.
QM Foolishness let go.
They returned to the grasslands.
"If you see Starsea Foolishness," QM Foolishness said, hands in her pockets, "tell her to co find . Tell her… I've given up on that idea."
Rita nodded repeatedly, then called out "QM Foolishness" and left the tiline.
The mont she exited the graveyard, several notifications echoed in her mind:
You are being watched.
She had no idea if Starsea Foolishness was among them.
Unlike her precise exit from By's grave, this ti she left early enough to still glimpse QM Foolishness during the brief overlap between past and present.
QM Foolishness stood there quietly, hands in pockets, watching her leave.
Rita waved once—
Then turned and ran without looking back.
She needed to cover as much of the map as possible. Once Lynx Duke's ti window opened, she could use movent skills to sweep the area quickly.
anwhile, the battlefield chat had grown active.
Players were cooperating, posting bounties for specific divine remnants. Anyone who could provide information would be rewarded.
Rita posted her own.
BS Rita: Elf, female, gray-white long hair, gray-blue eyes, tall, looks cold but carries an arrogant aura. If you feel like she's provoking you, contact imdiately.
Isolated Isle Cinders: Lightchaser, soone's looking for you
Isolated Isle Lightchaser: ?
BS Rita: Not
Isolated Isle Lightchaser: Check hot springs or near volcanoes. She likes warm places. Stop staring at fireplaces all the ti
Rita looked around.
She had already reached the ice plains.
Before eting QM Foolishness, she had recorded the map every hour and now had the entire layout morized.
The ice plains were near the "12" mark.
The volcano was near "6."
The hot springs lay in the southwest.
She imdiately changed direction and headed south.
The chat continued scrolling, gradually shifting to discussions about players secretly leaving Graveyard of Bones and returning to Starsea.
Just as Rita had learned about the fourth bell's timing from the gods, others were equally concerned.
But after a brief glance, she handed chat monitoring over to B80 and focused on moving.
Along the way, she occasionally encountered other players.
Quiet Mountain players would avoid her on sight.
Starsea players usually just greeted her.
Only familiar ones like Mistblade would walk with her for a while, exchanging information about Starsea and Graveyard of Bones.
On the day she left QM Foolishness, she had already determined the King's ti window.
And it overlapped slightly with Lynx Duke's.
Lynx Duke: 11:06:29 PM – 11:10:56 PM
King: 11:02:23 PM – 11:07:17 PM
That overlap made her even more eager to find Lynx Duke.
If their tilines intersected, then in that long, empty stretch of ti… they might have t.
If things went well, she might even get clues about the King from Lynx Duke.
If things didn't…
Day 15.
10 PM.
Rita stood at the very center of Graveyard of Bones, staring blankly ahead.
In front of her was a waist-high clock, shaped like a round table.
She had expected it to be difficult.
She hadn't expected it to be this difficult.
Ever since leaving QM Foolishness, even with daily lucky als, she hadn't found either of her targets.
Finding a moving entity with no fixed location on a massive map was already hard.
Finding one that only appeared for a few minutes each day… was absurd.
She had even asked Nuclear Flash NightFury and Tingo Autumn Deer—two players who had successfully upgraded divine relics before—how they had found their targets.
Both gave the sa answer, at different tis, with uncanny consistency:
"Hard to explain. The answer is inside your own divine relic."
Rita had sighed more than once at that.
Starsea and Quiet Mountain really did a good job protecting their dead.
If they didn't want to be found, no one could find them.
Every day, at the ti Nivalis had disappeared, Rita tried to contact her again.
Every ti—silence.
After confirming she had searched the entire map, Rita returned to the center of the clock.
Aside from the 3:10 PM window and the few minutes when Lynx Duke and the King appeared, she spent all her ti here.
On this clock QM Foolishness had repeatedly emphasized as "special."
When QM Foolishness explained the secret of the clock, she had been vague.
She told a story, but never stated the conclusion.
Rita guessed it was because she didn't have proof.
She didn't want to mislead—
But still wanted soone to verify it.
And Rita had understood.
The unproven truth hidden in that story was simple:
When a player's soul fla ignites the clock before them—
Can they make their wish co true?
