Rita wasn't in a rush, but Nivalis, who had already felt the allure of national treasures, was getting impatient. The mont they walked out of the alchemy shop, Nivalis, still invisible and crouching on Rita's head, patted her: "Why don't you co back to Dragon Island with ? I want to ask the Holy Grail and North Year what this thing really is. If they don't know, the elder dragon definitely will."
Rita thought back to the first ti she t Nivalis, comparing the dragon then and the dragon now...
The dragon was still the sa dragon, not much fatter, still the sa stunning creature. But as for the aura...
If Nivalis used to be: Extre! Brightness!!!, then now, Nivalis was more like: Hehehe~ Aurora Shield biubiubiu~~
They had only known each other for a few months, yet this dragon had been spoiled to the point of acting like a pet... Could she even dare to go to Dragon Island?
If she didn't go, Nivalis's family might suspect that their baby dragon had gone astray. But if she did go...
Rita hesitated and finally rejected: "Your ho? I'd rather not go. Can't you go back alone?"
Nivalis sighed, "I could, but you've contracted with , and according to the rules, I belong to you now. If you don't go with back to Dragon Island, the Holy Grail and North Year will definitely be angry with you..."
Rita: "......" The more you talk, the more ambiguous it gets.
Nivalis: "So, will you go?"
Thinking about the fact that she only earned 1000 honor points for asking the Special Affairs Bureau to help avoid Lania Kaia's extermination, but after collecting the fourth Mahjong tile, every one of them gave her 10,000 honor points... she had to get to the bottom of what was going on with the bone tiles.
Even without considering the bone tiles, just the fact that Mistblade had slled the scent of the dragon race on her made it worth a visit to Dragon Island. She needed to figure out how to get so Dragon Nest specialties to enhance her own aura.
Nivalis was definitely the one who had gone astray! She had done nothing wrong! It was North Year and the Holy Grail who needed to reflect on their actions!
Rita decided not to overthink it: "Fine! But we'll stop by Blue Star first. I have sothing to deal with."
Nivalis imdiately began pondering what gifts to bring back to Dragon Island. Rita's card was at Nivalis's disposal, and there was plenty of pocket change—money that could buy a lot back in Blue Star.
Back in Blue Star, Rita got busy again.
There were no updates from the little spider, but as for Rick, she planned to visit in person. It had already been a month, so it wasn't unreasonable to check on her younger brother! In fact, waiting a month had been a bit neglectful.
But she had a good excuse: bringing a gift.
She had specifically gotten it for Rick when she went to the auction house to buy tattoo ink before heading back.
[Tail Fla·Soothing Oil]: This oil could be massaged onto exotic beasts to soothe their emotions and help foster a bond between the pet and the owner. The longer the massage, the better the effect.
Rita had asked Little Moon Fox, who worked part-ti at the Dark City auction house and had ntioned that her parents were stationed there recently. Little Moon Fox said the product was mostly for scent, with little practical use. Products from the Tail Fla Moon Fox brand were often just luxury packaging and expensive ingredients, with little real utility.
But in exchange for a tip, Little Moon Fox had enthusiastically recomnded products from Fogtail, which despite the confusing nas, had strong practical effects. These were the real "star products."
Rita looked at the na starting with "Fog" and the fox's tail with the black tip: "..."
She couldn't quite tell whether the fox was trash-talking her own products or pushing them at the sa ti.
Even with that hot recomndation, Rita didn't ask about [I Really Don't Have Ti to Shower]. No matter what excuse she used, it would draw attention. Since it hadn't gone on sale, asking about it was pointless.
One bottle of [Tail Fla·Soothing Oil] cost 27 gold coins, so Rita spent generously, buying three bottles. After all, it wasn't like it was her who would be exhausted from using it.
Even if Rick really managed to calm Black Jade down, she could always break Black Jade's other horn when she had the ti!
After applying for permission to visit Rick and Black Jade from the Special Affairs Bureau, Rita made sure to send a ssage to Rick first. She was just that polite and well-mannered.
[Rita]: "I've brought you sothing good—[Tail Fla·Soothing Oil]. Can you co out, or should I have Nivalis go help you out?"
It took a long ti for Rick to respond, but Rita didn't mind. She turned off the ssage window and almost forgot about it until much later.
[Rick]: "Sis, I was just making food for Black Jade, and he won't let et anyone from Blue Star. I can't co out."
Then followed a long, long rant, longer than the papers Rick wrote for university.
Rita stifled a sigh before finally replying with a single line:
[Rita]: "Endure the bitterness before the sweetness, we've all been through it."
After she sent that, she imdiately felt like the words sounded too dry, almost irritating. She hurriedly changed the topic.
[Rita]: "I'll keep an eye out for things that might help you."
[Rita]: "Should I send it to you?"
[Rick]: "Thanks, sis."
After sending the items, Rita waited for the [Disguise!] skill to cool down, then set off alone to find Rick and Black Jade. She had already confird the address when applying to the Special Affairs Bureau.
There was no way she could feel at ease without seeing Rick's trustworthiness firsthand. Read latest stories on My Virtual Library Empire
About half an hour away from her destination, Rita used her disguise skill. She circled around the area, sprayed so perfu, and applied a magic potion to ensure her scent was masked before heading to Black Jade's location.
In truth, Black Jade wasn't a Moon Fox and didn't have much expertise in scent, so Rita was being overly cautious. But the more she knew, the more concerns she had.
For example, after Maple Cang had easily detected the skill she used, Rita had decided to create two sets of signature skills. One set for Blue Star, and another set for when she disguised herself as different identities.
It was best to have a set of lee skills as well, to completely separate her true identity from her long-range abilities.
Soon, disguised as an Oak Owl, Rita appeared outside the manor.
Before getting close, she noticed players guarding the area. She had to carefully avoid them using [Hunter's Eye]. If that didn't work, she would use her [Orbit] skill, making herself invisible and flying above them to avoid detection.
From a distance, she spotted Flood Dragon near the lake, and Rick was in the water, scrubbing Black Jade's scales.
Unlike before when Rick wore expensive branded clothes and was always pristine, now he was dressed in a simple T-shirt and large shorts, sweat dripping down his face.
Rita glanced at the ti: 11:47 PM. Wow, not only had the son-in-law beco Black Jade's personal bath attendant, but he was also working the night shift!
She had to get closer to gather more information, so she flew in a bit closer. She wasn't worried about Black Jade spotting her. If that happened, she'd just zap the dragon with a Pikachu attack and give it a little lesson.
