After a moon fox dies, as long as one tail is chopped off, its body will imdiately turn to smoke and return to the embrace of the Moon Goddess. Of course, there is also the possibility of trying to exploit a bug by chopping off all its tails at once, but that would result in none of them staying behind.
The situations with the moon fox's tails were experints done by Blue Star players from a past life who tried to make moon fox tails into a scarf. However, the first tail of the moon fox is not completely impossible to handle. Rita thought of a workaround: players with telepathic abilities could interrogate a moon fox. It would be tedious, though.
But the most troubleso items were the Candlebeast's fla tail and the Undead Spring drop from a death's heart.
The Candlebeast is a species with seven flas growing from their tails. The stronger their power, the closer their fla color is to white, and the fla tails of the seven royal families of the Candlebeast are pure white flas.
As soon as a Candlebeast dies, their fla tails go out imdiately—not a second longer—and while they are alive, these fla tails are an extrely powerful skill. Even if a Candlebeast falls unconscious, the fla will automatically protect its master, and its power will increase drastically if the master loses consciousness.
The Undead Spring is even more difficult. It can transform a deceased person into an undead, which ans to obtain it, one has to find those who were halfway converted into undead.
But here's the issue. Becoming an undead is not hard, even without the Undead Spring. The problem is that these half-converted undead are often shunned by their original races because their fate and divine gifts are transferred to the undead race after death, and other factions view this as a betrayal.
On the other hand, there are so undead who are highly valued. When a loved one dies, the undead will search for the precious Undead Spring, using it to turn their loved one into an undead. The undead turned by the Undead Spring are purer, retaining more of their strength, and their fate and divine gifts return to their original race after death. The transformation is only slightly weaker than those converted by the Undead Monarch.
So, the question is, the undead capable of being transford by this precious Undead Spring are not going to be low-ranked ones. And even if one manages to find a high-level undead that was converted later, killing them might not guarantee obtaining the Undead Spring.
Just thinking about it was giving Rita a headache.
Rita asked Nivalis, "Don't tell you guys need sothing from the Dragon Clan too?"
Nivalis replied, "No way. When I descended to Blue Star, I didn't sign any contracts, and the Dragon Clan is not participating in this war."
Rita felt a little more at ease, but then she suddenly stopped walking, grabbed Nivalis from her shoulder, and pulled her face-to-face, speaking in a serious tone, "I have so questions for you."
Nivalis, now nervous, took a deep breath and beca serious. "Go ahead."
Rita asked, "I've always wondered, how do Candlebeasts wash their hair?"
Nivalis froze, her breath still caught in her chest. "…."
Now she was curious too!
Rita continued, "What happens if they lose all their hair? What happens to their flas?"
Nivalis's expression grew more confused.
Right! What do bald Candlebeasts do?
Rita pressed on, "When they sleep, do the flas float in the air? Do the flas need rest? What if they accidentally lie on their hair during sleep? Won't it burn them? When a big Candlebeast has a little one, doesn't it burn them? If they change their hairstyle, how do they divide their hair between the flas? Does each fla need to get an equal amount of hair? And why don't their barbershops accept other species? Is there so secret?"
Nivalis, clutching her head, scread in agony, "No…stop it... please... I can't handle it...!"
Rita sighed with regret, closing her mouth. She was genuinely curious about these things.
Just as she was about to ask where the Scythebeast's scythe ca from, Shadow.Q, who had just separated from her, sent her a ssage.
[Spicy Onion]: Soone from Eclipse Vanguard contacted . They want to join.
[Pinebloom]: At this ti?
Over the years, the three of them had gained a certain reputation, especially Rita, who was practically infamous! There had been several attempts by Pine Spike to raise her bounty and even personally co after her. As for Pine Bloom, she didn't have that much free ti; she had been steadily fighting against the eleven alien species.
Their group, known as "Only for Money," had grown strong, but the first few years had not been smooth. The eleven alien species wanted them dead, and the Oak Owls were after them too. They had grown amidst danger. The first few years, she and Sanchez barely made any progress. Back then, all they focused on was leveling up quickly and making a na for themselves. No one would have believed in them otherwise. Most of their skills were earned in the past two years.
At that ti, Shadow.Q had been hunting for tasks to expand their business, but whenever aliens saw the Oak Owls, they would attack, sotis chasing them for hundreds of miles. She had to use the "My Throat Has a Motorcycle" skill to escape, and by the end of the day, she could perform an entire rap concert. Rita once accompanied her to escort a mission and nearly laughed herself to death. After that, Shadow.Q didn't let her go on any more escort missions.
Well, she tried having Sanchez do it instead. The so-called ruthless battle machine claid she wouldn't be as unprofessional as Rita, but the mont Shadow.Q's bubble voice ca out, Sanchez burst out laughing and fell to the ground. Rita could still fight while laughing, but Sanchez was a different story—she collapsed in laughter right there.
In the end, Shadow.Q not only had to rap in a bubble voice but also had to carry Sanchez to escape, eventually having to use her bubble voice to scold Sanchez. If it hadn't been for the moon foxes chasing them, both would have been caught.
After they barely escaped, Shadow.Q ignored them for three days.
When Sanchez returned, she looked aggrieved: "You don't know, she scolded in that bubble voice! I couldn't stand it!" Afterward, she squeezed her throat and imitated her, which imdiately made Shadow.Q use her skill to teleport Sanchez away.
Now that they had developed, things were starting to stabilize. Soone from Eclipse Vanguard was contacting them?
Rita didn't want to assu the worst, but she wasn't interested in teaming up with a stranger joining halfway through.
Over the years, unless there was a reward too tempting to ignore or a task impossible for a single person to complete, she wouldn't have tead up with Sanchez or Shadow.Q.
And… who knew if this person had been assimilated?
Even if the tiline was different, it had been 27 years since they entered the tower. That was long enough to be considered a whole lifeti.
She sent a ssage back to Shadow.Q.
[Pinebloom]: I won't be returning to the base for a while. If sothing cos up, let know via the friends list. Stay updated through My Virtual Library Empire
[Pinebloom]: Be careful.
[Spicy Onion]: Don't worry, I understand. It's only been 27 years, it won't be so quick.
[Spicy Onion]: Whatever they can offer, Eclipse Vanguard can offer more.
That was true, but Rita thought back to the Eternal Night Fortress she saw when she stole the Moon Sand.
[Pinebloom]: What if the Oak Owls have been in contact with the heroic spirits here all along?
