Now reading: Chapter 578: 578: Divine Game: Chaotic Restaurant 98 from This Life, I Will Be the Protagonist, a Drama novel by Catlove12Fish.

Amid the terrified gazes of the other players in the restaurant, Rita awkwardly withdrew her hand and offered them a polite smile.

To be honest, during those three seconds of silence, she broke into a cold sweat, afraid she'd also be deed to have violated the rules.

She hadn't expected to send Erald Crane·Gale off so quickly. Really… she had only wanted to mix the food she brought with his dish to test if he was trying to trick her. She still had more questions to ask him. Even though his answers were filled with traps, she could still gather so information.

As for the mont when Erald Crane·Gale reached out, she had adjusted her hand to reveal the ring, but it was more of a reflex. In that mont, the weighing of pros and cons was thrown aside, and her instinct was to try to trap him.

As expected, it was true that food should not be wasted, but the claim that you could eat your own food was a lie. Otherwise, Erald Crane·Gale wouldn't have reacted so nervously.

[Ding—Congratulations, BS-Rita has killed player Erald Crane·Gale using the highest rule of the blue food tent.]

[Player Gale has chosen to exchange two SSS-level skills for his eighth resurrection chance in this Divine Ga.]

[You may choose to randomly draw one SSS-level skill as your prize.]

[Or choose to randomly learn three rules related to the food tents as your prize.]

[Ding—You have received your kill reward: Intelligence 9.]

[You killed "Ordinary Custor", you may designate a food tent and learn its basic rules.]

As usual, Rita chose the three rules related to food tents as her reward.

[Black Food Tent Highest Rule: Pet-Friendly Restaurant]

[Purple Food Tent Basic Rule #1: Dining ti must not exceed half an hour.]

[Blue Food Tent Basic Rule #1: Dining ti must not be less than 5 hours.]

So, the blue food tent's dining ti cannot be less than five hours?

A forced rule is never sweet, all full of traps.

She thought about the different levels of strictness between the highest rules of the blue and white food tents. Could it be that the longer you stay, the stricter the rules? The over-5-hour dining ti didn't feel like a benefit, more like a punishnt.

Now she knew the highest rules for the red and black food tents, so the next tent she'd visit would definitely be one of those two. She glanced at the tent marked by Romantic Tourist and, based on the "Ordinary Custor" kill reward, designated the red tent.

[Red Food Tent Basic Rule #1: You cannot use your own race's language.]

Rita made a note of all her findings.

Just then, her juice and dessert were brought to her. Although she had been cautious the entire ti, watching the chef to see what he added, she still slled and tasted each dish, ensuring the chef hadn't added anything extra.

Then, Ghost·Sang Cup sat down across from her.

He plucked a pine needle from his head, dipped it in the thick beast-fat soup that Erald Crane·Gale hadn't finished, and wrote sothing in Owlspeak on the table: "Let's exchange information."

Rita gave him an odd look, glancing at the soup on the table, and wondered, Is this considered a waste?

She crossed her arms and shook her head, signaling rejection.

She wasn't going to share real information with him, and she didn't trust what he said, so why bother?

She placed the juice and one of the desserts into her bag, holding the last one in her hand, just in case Ghost·Sang Cup tried to knock her dishes over.

Ghost·Sang Cup mimicked Rita's actions and ordered the sa juice and two desserts for himself, then paid for his al.

Rita wasn't bothered by him copying her. In fact, the more he copied, the better. She wanted him to follow her lead so she could set more traps.

Unlike when she received her order and the chef imdiately started preparing the food, when Ghost·Sang Cup ordered, the chef stood quietly for a few minutes before starting.

And when the chef was halfway through making the juice, Rita subtly pressed Repay under the table, borrowing Ghost·Sang Cup's skill!

[Repay: Silence the world]

Using it would make all actions made by the player silent, making it ideal for an assassination. The skill lasts for 20 minutes with a 25-minute cooldown.

Since Repay's description was "Temporarily steal the last skill used by the player," once the skill was stolen, Ghost·Sang Cup's skill effect disappeared.

At the mont the skill was taken, Ghost·Sang Cup's silence ended.

The event happened so suddenly that the chef didn't have ti to stop, or perhaps, he only noticed the issue when the sound was made.

Less than half an hour into the restaurant, another player was gone.

At that mont, all the players and custors in the ice restaurant turned to look at BS-Rita: Did you do that?

Rita gave them a shocked look, as if she were just as surprised by what had happened.

Ghost·Sang Cup shifted uncomfortably and was tempted to leave right then.

Now that the chef was gone, who would make his juice and desserts?

After Rita finished her feigned shock, she took a sip of her juice. She didn't rush to use the skill, but silently thought it through. She hadn't wanted to waste the chef's huge skill, but seeing that he hadn't used it to manipulate the custors and get them to make noise, she had her doubts.

Had he not used it because employees couldn't kill custors? Or was there a limit on how many kills one could make?

Before figuring that out, Rita was content to forgo one opportunity to act.

It was only after seeing how dangerous the blue food tent was that she realized the severity of the situation. Even though she had won, Rita still felt a sense of dread. Spending more than five hours here was no small feat.

[Ding—Congratulations, BS-Rita has killed player Black Tea Traveler using the highest rule of the blue food tent.]

[Player Traveler has chosen to exchange one SSS-level skill for his tenth resurrection chance.]

[You can choose to obtain this SSS-level skill as your prize.]

[Or choose to randomly learn two rules related to the food tents as your prize.]

[Ding—You've received your kill reward: Mana 999.]

[You killed the "Dark Chef." You will learn two Dark Food Street rules.]

[Dark Food Street Rule #1: Killing a "Wandering Chef" hidden in the Dark Food Street will end the current Divine Ga early, and you will receive 5000◆ to your sales.]

[Dark Food Street Rule #2: Killing a "VIP" hidden in the Dark Food Street will end the current Divine Ga early, and you will receive 5000◆ to your sales.]

Now the question is, if she killed herself, would it count as killing a "Wandering Chef"?

At this mont, Rita wasn't sure how to communicate with the system. She relayed the potential bug to her 913 Secretary, asking for help.

Rita: "Hurry up and report it."

B8017913: "Do you think the ga will listen to ?"

Rita: "Try it."

To her surprise, B8017913 got a response.

B8017913: "They told to take you far away."
