"Wah la wah la!"
"Chi chi wah la cha cha!"
These fishn bowed their heads in worship, seemingly having learned the act of kneeling from sowhere.
However, the sounds they produced were neither systematic nor linguistic.
It wasn't Fishman language, but rather the simplest aningless noises!
"They clearly have so form of tribal system, yet don't even have the rudints of a language system..."
Lin Ke frowned.
He waved his hand, and from the ground behind a fishman tent, a root with a few leaves flew over under the control of an invisible force.
With a surge of magic power, all the dirt and gri on the root were shaken off, including the outer skin.
Then Lin Ke's eyes emitted white light, and the root in his hand deflated rapidly as if a balloon had burst.
In just a few seconds, the root was reduced to nothing but powder.
At Lin Ke's level, eating no longer required the physical act of "eating" with the mouth.
If he wished, not just his hands, but any part or organ of his body could directly "consu" food.
"This feeling..."
Lin Ke closed his eyes to savor it slowly.
After a mont, he opened his eyes and said to himself with so emotion, "It really is a fishman root, and its effect is surprisingly good."
His innate ability indeed showed improvent!
With this, then...
He looked up at the sky, where beyond the stars, a group of sixteen or seventeen level Harpies were gathered around the God of Harpies.
As his gaze projected over, these Harpies imdiately started trembling like quails spotted by an eagle.
Or rather, like chicks targeted by a dragon.
"Co see ."
Lin Ke's voice directly pierced through their soul defenses, echoing in their minds.
In an instant, these Harpies rushed out from their not-quite-divine kingdom, flying towards Lin Ke's location.
re monts later, they stood before Lin Ke.
"Honorable and powerful one, what do you require of us?"
The leading Harpy folded its wings behind its back and then bowed deeply.
The other Harpies followed suit, apparently adhering to local custom.
"This, would you like it?"
Lin Ke casually took out a secondary plane wind-related godhead from his space ring, which contained a complete secondary plane wind law.
He didn't have the ti to care for these fishn himself, but letting this Harpy take care of them was possible.
Originally, for the Harpy before him, using a godhead would have been a waste.
In fact, even just a few strands of stellar divinity, or an epic-level eighteenth-level divinity, could potentially enable one to grasp the law and beco a true god.
But there were no such low-level items in his space ring.
Because those things weren't very helpful to him.
Even the godhead was carried only because it could be useful in so secondary planes.
Otherwise, it would be a burden, as the space in a space ring is not limitless, and so items inside need spacing.
However, a secondary plane godhead is considered low-end only in his perspective.
When he took out the godhead, the eyes of the Harpies at levels sixteen, seventeen, and even fifteen widened.
The pull was stronger than the desire of a dying man for a refreshing spring!
It was an all-encompassing draw from true spirit, soul, and body.
It was the life-form's desire to transcend to a higher level.
In their hearts, there was only one voice.
Get it!
Own it!
Devour it!
Devour that stone-like object!
However, reason restrained their actions.
Not to ntion the powerful one holding the stone; even their main god was beyond their capability to challenge.
"Powerful one..."
The leading Harpy's reaction was even more feeble than its subordinates, involuntarily swallowing—a gesture forgotten long ago.
This desire beyond physiological needs had not been felt in his long life for a very long ti.
At the sa ti, it ignited his longing for breakthrough.
The bottleneck that troubled him for years now had a way to break through.
"This is a godhead," Lin Ke said, using the common language of Naseng, but the Harpies imdiately understood the aning.
A godhead!
"A godhead..." The leading Harpy looked at the godhead in Lin Ke's hand, tears suddenly streaming from its hawk eyes. "So, the next step, is it a godhead?"
And as he said these words, suddenly a force descended from the heavens.
Threads of azure, sand-like divinity flew out from the top of the Harpy, converging in the center.
Ascension!
"Did he break through?" Lin Ke was slightly surprised, but he quickly understood.
Many tis, the ability to break through wasn't about the accumulation but the lack of a slight opportunity to pierce the proverbial paper-thin barrier.
This Harpy, even if it hadn't broken through from witnessing the godhead, would have done so within a millennium.
In so sense, this Harpy was a genius, the top one in this plane.
"Buzz..."
And as this Harpy's main god broke through, the entire dium plane underwent an upgrade.
"Rumble..."
The world trembled, the higher the level, the more perceptible it was.
Lin Ke naturally sensed it, and very clearly.
"Plane ascension..." Lin Ke had only heard of it, never seen such a scene.
So he casually sliced open a Star Realm rift, ca outside, and then turned around to observe this spectacle.
The plane originally enveloped by the plane crystal wall experienced a series of expansions and contractions, like a heartbeat, absorbing a large amount of stellar turbulence.
Heart... Lin Ke watched this extrely rare scene, quietly comprehending the changes it brought.
To be honest, such a scene was too uncommon.
Plane ascension has always been a mystery, with many researchers in Great Wilderness City studying it.
But, through various ans, promoting plane ascension remains difficult.
As a result, many have proposed hypotheses.
For instance, the number of local powerhouses relates to plane ascension, or the limit of local powerhouses, or even related to the absorption of other plane crystal walls...
Nonetheless, many hypotheses point to one thing, that is, the beings born in that plane.
Now, witnessing this scene, Lin Ke could determine at least one thing: one reason for plane ascension is definitely related to the breakthroughs of strong beings born in that plane.
A past experint in Great Wilderness City proved that giving a godhead to a local powerhouse did not induce plane ascension, so so suggested that perhaps local powerhouses need to break through on their own.
And to break through to beco a level twenty-one being?
It's incredibly difficult.
