Previously, even Wang Fengqing had only managed to top the leaderboard at the end of his first year.

"You're applying for my course assessnt?"
The instructor in charge of the class looked at Li Fei in surprise.
His na was Lu Ming, a First Level instructor, teaching a class called 'Tracking and Counter-Tracking.'
Wuda had all kinds of courses, from Mo Yizhou's Poisonology to Lu Ming's Tracking Skill.

Soon, everyone followed Lu Ming towards the school's back mountain.

It was the place Wuda used to breed Exotic Beasts.
Lu Ming led everyone to the edge of a thicket.
He turned to look at Li Fei, "My course assessnt is in two parts, one is tracking, the other is counter-tracking. Which do you want to do first?"
Li Fei: "Let's start with tracking."
Lu Ming nodded, "Give your student ID."
Li Fei did as instructed, handing over his student ID to him.
"I will enter the thicket first, leaving so traces and hiding your student ID sowhere. Your task is to enter the thicket and find your student ID within half an hour."
Lu Ming raised the student ID in his hand and explained to Li Fei.
"Okay."
Li Fei nodded.
Lu Ming then turned and disappeared into the thicket, soon out of sight from everyone.

He pulled out his Pocket Watch, glanced at the ti, and looking up at Li Fei, said,
"You may begin now."
Li Fei then stepped into the thicket.
"Let's go, let's all watch from the side."
Lu Ming suddenly addressed the other students.
There were more than twenty students in attendance; with so many people entering together, it was easy to obliterate the traces Lu Ming had just left, and they also risked leaving many irrelevant traces, making the assessnt much more difficult.
"Go!"
The students eagerly rushed into the thicket, eager to see how Li Fei, the supre genius, would pass the assessnt.

In reality, Li Fei's tracking skills were self-taught. If he had to rely solely on skill, he indeed wouldn't be certain that he could pass Lu Ming's assessnt.
But his tracking ability was primarily based on the 'Danger Perception' extraordinary ability.
Under Hao Yi's training, this extraordinary ability had long evolved beyond just sensing danger and was developing towards 'precognition,' giving him sothing akin to a 'Heart Eye.'
After breaking through to the Qi Change Stage, Li Fei's 'Danger Perception' had beco even keener, allowing him to sense the lingering Qi left by powerful individuals.
This Qi was related to Innate Qi and Force. Therefore, the stronger a person was, the easier it was for Li Fei to sense them.

If Lu Ming had been weaker or there had been a longer interval of ti, Li Fei wouldn't be able to track in this manner.
