The next morning, Li Pu was woken up by Wu Guinan.
"What’s going on?"
He got out of bed bleary-eyed and slightly disgruntled.
It was 10:00 AM, and his schedule said he wasn’t supposed to et the horoom teacher until 3:00 in the afternoon.
He originally planned to sleep until at least 1 or 2 PM, but Wu Guinan had clearly disrupted those plans.
"Well, sothing seems to have happened."
Actually, Wu Guinan looked just as unkempt and freshly awoken as Li Pu.
Then Li Pu noticed there was soone else in the dorm room.
The building manager, second-year student Chang Shoushang.
"Freshen up a bit, and then co with to the Dean’s office."
"Don’t dawdle, I’ll treat you guys to a al afterwards."
Chang Shoushang waved his hand, urging them to hurry.
"Senior? What’s going on?"
Unlike Li Pu who just went to wash up, Wu Guinan asked with concern.
The Dean’s office was not a place where typical students usually needed to go.
Generally, you’d only be called there if you’ve done sothing wrong.
But both of them had slept in their dorm last night, what mistake could they have made?
"I tell you two, you two."
Chang Shoushang glanced at them and said seriously, "You really need to be more disciplined."
"I just received a notice, your Summoned Beasts were allegedly involved in dangerous driving last night."
"They were caught by the Security Office and detained, they’ve just been sent to the Dean’s office."
"Huh?"
This was enough to leave Wu Guinan with his mouth agape on the spot.
Even Li Pu, who was brushing his teeth, paused in surprise.
"But our Summoned Beasts can’t drive!"
Wu Guinan thought maybe there had been so kind of mistake.
"Um..."
Chang Shoushang took out his phone and used his thumb and forefinger to zoom in on the redhead docunt he had received.
In fact, he himself had only just gotten the notification and hadn’t read it thoroughly.
"The vehicle at the ti was a turtle."
"It was traveling at a speed exceeding the school’s nightti speed limit."

After reading it, even Chang Shoushang looked a bit puzzled.

But upon hearing this, Wu Guinan fell silent.
He was already visualizing a scene: last night in the still of the night, the Scarecrow and Little Tree Man joyously riding on the Rolling Turtle, happily zooming along the campus paths.
Although the Rolling Turtle was clumsy, given enough ti to accelerate, it could indeed pick up a decent bit of speed in a straight line, faster than one might imagine.
"Wait a minute!"
The next second, Wu Guinan seed to have a revelation and pointed at Li Pu: "It was his Summoned Beast that was driving, right?"
"My Rolling Turtle was just the vehicle, you can’t bla the vehicle for anything wrong!"
His words did have so logic to them.
You’ve got to hand it to soone who can imdiately try to wash their hands of any bla at the first opportunity.
At this point, Li Pu had nothing to say beyond, "I really thank you."
"Save your breath and say that at the Dean’s office."
Chang Shoushang shrugged.
So after quickly finishing their morning routine, the two followed Chang Shoushang out the door.
Fifteen minutes later, the three arrived at the Dean’s office building.
Chang Shoushang and Wu Guinan were already a bit out of breath.
Especially Chang Shoushang, who cast a peculiar glance at Li Pu while huffing and puffing.
This guy, is he sure he’s a cripple?
How could he walk so fast!
Under normal circumstances, it would take him at least 25 minutes to walk from the dormitory to the Dean’s office.
Getting there in 15 minutes ant they were practically jogging.
"Huff... Huff... Huff... Alright, let’s head in."
After catching his breath for a mont, Chang Shoushang led the two juniors inside.
They hadn’t reached the office ntioned in the notice yet, but they could hear a commotion in the distance.
It sounded quite unsavory.

The three walked into the office and saw the Scarecrow and Rolling Turtle locked in a holding cell.
Though they were making a ruckus, they remained well-behaved and didn’t attempt anything like an escape.
This holding cell was more for show, and if they really wanted to break out, it probably wouldn’t stop them.
Besides these Summoned Beasts, two people and a tree were seated at the desk outside the cell.
One of the people was also a freshman, busily writing away.
anwhile, the Little Tree Man stared tearfully at the blank sheet of paper in front of it.
Because unlike the Scarecrow and Rolling Turtle, it was a student.
A student and a Summoned Beast being punished were treated entirely differently.
If a Summoned Beast makes a mistake, the Summoner has to co and take responsibility for the punishnt.
If a student makes a mistake, they have to face the consequences themselves.
Thus, the Little Tree Man faced the punishnt of writing a self-critique.
The problem was, it could not read or write.
[Sniff sniff sob!]
At this mont, the Little Tree Man felt pitiful indeed.
Yesterday, while sleeping at the bottom of Moonlight Lake, it had been awakened by an old man.
Groggily, it had been brought to the school.
Then a pretty older girl explained the situation to it.
At that point, the Little Tree Man only vaguely began to understand.
As it turns out, the gigantic rock that endlessly produced sweet water wasn’t so miraculous natural phenonon, but soone was feeding it.
The heartache ca with the realization that there would be no more sweet water in the future.
Well, not that there wouldn’t be any, but it would have to swap its own leaves for it.
Thankfully, eting the la brother and Scarecrow big brother lifted its spirits again.
"Hey, brother, don’t cry."
"It’s just writing a self-review, it’s no big deal."
"Senior sister, I’m done writing!"
At this point, the busy writing student stopped his pen.
Snap!
However, what awaited him was a smack to the back of the head.
"Useless guy, getting punished to write a self-review again."
Chang Shoushang smacked down, and his own hand hurt, as though it had been injured.
"Bro? What are you doing here?"
The student clutched his head and turned back, recognizing it was Chang Shoushang’s younger brother, Chang Jiantao.
"Miss Jiang, I’ve brought them."
Chang Shoushang ignored his brother and greeted the girl at the other end of the desk.
His posture seed a touch deferential.
Jiang Gui (pronunciation: guī jǔ), known for her love of rules.
Third-year student, student council mber.
Chang Shoushang was rely a humble building manager, not even a student council mber.
Adding to the pressure of her aura, he automatically shrinks a bit upon eting her.
Li Pu, however, didn’t recognize the girl with the ponytail opposite him.
He was slightly face-blind when it ca to girls, just could not really rember their faces.
What he did recognize was the small hedgehog crawling back and forth on the table.
Unlike other hedgehogs, its spikes grew forward and it was a golden yellow all over.
