Chapter 527: Chapter 36: Graceful as a Startled Swan

In fact, it wasn’t that the Sword Sect was overbearing; it was just that for matters hard to verify, if one’s own people couldn’t trust each other, how could they talk about being a top sect?

The disciples of the Sword Sect took pride in the sect, and the sect took equal pride in its disciples.

And trust was the most basic emotional bond between them.

Tender leaves sprout on green branches, bright flowers droop down heavily.

With Sword Token paving the way, Lu Qingshan returned to Sword Coming Peak.

...

The bamboo on the cliff was greener than before.

Upon his return to the peak, his first task was to pay respects to his master, Xia Daoyun.

Unfortunately, he found himself facing emptiness, as his master was still not around.

Luo Shen Fairy, truly as elusive as a crane traversing through snowy mud, never showing her form.

Lu Qingshan felt a tinge of regret.

The deed of Xia Daoyun slaying the Origin Demon King had beco known to the whole world.

And at the root of this affair were the troubles he and his senior brother Ji Chuan had provoked.

So both emotionally and logically, he ought to sincerely thank his master face to face.

“Lu Qingshan, you’ve finally returned!” As Lu Qingshan was still marinating in his regret, not yet fully aware, a shadow flashed and leapt out from the bamboo house by the lake, hurtling towards his chest.

Lu Qingshan sidestepped in a flash.

It, too, lunged at air.

The King of the Western Mice, despite missing his target, looked at Lu Qingshan with a mix of excitent and deep resentnt.

You ungrateful soul, despite such warmth from .

“Next ti you go out, you can’t leave behind again,” the King of Mice said with a hint of lancholy.

“You’ve reached the late Third Grade; your progress is sowhat rapid. It seems you haven’t been slacking off during this period,” Lu Qingshan comnted noncommittally, eyeing the King of the Western Mice whom he hadn’t seen for a long while, suddenly noting a highlight and genuinely complinting him.

At the sa ti, he felt sowhat astonished and looked suspiciously at the King of the Western Mice, “Half a year’s ti from early Third Grade to late Third Grade usually isn’t this quick. Could it be that you’ve again stumbled upon so great fortune?”

“Ups and downs, success or failure, a mouse must be truly earnest!” The King of the Western Mice, seeing Lu Qingshan noticing his cultivation progress, felt a bit of joy sneaking in; upon hearing Lu Qingshan’s suspicion, he imdiately stood, hands on hips, straightened his spine, and spoke with integrity, “Find a fortune? Impossible! My cultivation today has been achieved all by my own effort!”

Lu Qingshan eyed the brash intensity of the King of the Western Mice, thought for a mont, and then seriously said, “I’ve reached Nascent Soul Late Stage.”

The proud King of the Western Mice was still imrsed in his emotions and did not catch on at first, “What did you say?”

“I’ve reached Nascent Soul Late Stage,” Lu Qingshan repeated.

The King of the Western Mice exclaid, “How could you advance so quickly?!”

“This can’t be possible. I only reached late Third Grade in half a year by eating a pill gifted by your master,” he said, unaware that he was betraying himself, then blathering on, “In half a year, how did you go from Golden Core Late Stage to Nascent Soul Late Stage?

Hey, did your master give you an entire bottle of pills?”

“Eating a pill or two occasionally is fine, but too many is not good,” the King of the Western Mice earnestly advised.

Lu Qingshan stared at the King of the Western Mice deeply into his role, silently nodding to himself.

No wonder this little demon mouse advanced so quickly; it turns out his master slipped it so benefits.

This guy still not being honest, claiming it was all his own effort, has he no sha?

“Pills? No such thing! My cultivation today has been achieved all by my own effort!” Lu Qingshan claid righteously.

The little demon mouse quivered all over, sweating profusely in the heat, feeling cold in hands and feet.

Vast as a sword piercing the skies, the azure mists stretch boundlessly, beckoning disorientation.

Vastness Peak was unlike Sword Coming Peak; its disciples were nurous.

Standing below the towering Vastness Peak, Lu Qingshan first removed his Sword Token, to prove his identity.

Soon after, a Nascent Soul Sword Cultivator of Vastness Peak descended the mountain and led Lu Qingshan upwards.

The layout of Vastness Peak, unlike that of Sword Coming Peak, contained the principle of shrinking space within its stone path, so scaling its enormous height was simply a matter of controlling the sword.

Gliding through the mists, the Flying Sword left a bright white trail behind, which looked quite spectacular.

Under the guidance of the Vastness Sword Cultivator, Lu Qingshan finally landed in front of a simple stone palace.

On the palace’s stone walls were sword marks, deep and shallow, which were quite rhythmic and emitted a strong sense of history.

Of course, the charm did not originate from the stones.

No matter how beautiful or strange a stone was, it could at best bring forth a monkey, but could not reveal a flower.

What was remarkable were the sword marks on it.

“The master awaits you inside,” the guiding disciple said.

“Thank you for the trouble,” Lu Qingshan expressed his gratitude.

The Nascent Soul disciple just responded with a smile, rose into a white rainbow, and departed.

Lu Qingshan stepped to the front of the door, which, sohow, opened by itself.

He entered the palace directly and was able to et the Taibai Sword Master.

Dressed in a green robe, his gaze gentle as he looked at him.

This was the only Sword Cultivator among the seven Peak Masters of the Sword Sect who was still in the Seventh Realm, the Taibai Sword Master.

Lu Qingshan bowed in salute.

“Ji Chuan left the sect with you, and only you have returned; he hasn’t. Today, you seek out, so has sothing happened to Ji Chuan?” the Taibai Sword Master asked as his first question upon seeing Lu Qingshan, his gentle gaze appearing to see through everything.

“Uncle Master sees clearly,” Lu Qingshan spoke softly.

“What exactly is the situation?” the voice of the Taibai Sword Master, calm with a hint of indescribable solitude, asked, “Tell about it.”

In front of the Taibai Sword Master, Lu Qingshan held nothing back and told everything about Burial Ridge, the Origin Demon, Qiu Shiyin, and the Netherworld affairs, omitting only the matter concerning Oblivion.
