Chapter 734: Chapter 39: Break the Deadlock with Death (Part 2)

Marquis of An Hai had targeted Qing Ge, the Demon General.

He knew his condition was poor, and he would definitely not be an opponent for Pu Qu, the Demon Marshal, in a real fight.

Therefore, he prepared to repeat his old trick and relive the classic—capture Qing Ge, the Demon General, then “use the emperor to command the princes.”

Within the area enveloped by Marquis of An Hai’s Dao Domain, the rules of the world seed to begin changing.

All of the rainwater reversed direction, rising upward, each droplet spinning on its own, as if it had infinite strength, emitting sonorous booms like roaring waves.

“Bind!” Marquis of An Hai, spiraling up from the ground toward the sky, said softly.

All the droplets condensed, turning into myriad shooting stars with trailing tails, forming a curtain of rain, sweeping toward Qing Ge.

However, the outco this ti was different from the last.

Previously, all the Seventh Grade mbers of the Demon Race were driven far away from the bloodied warship by the self-detonation of Seventh Realm cultivators, so they were too late to co to the aid and allowed Marquis of An Hai to succeed.

This ti, Pu Qu, the Demon Marshal, and Qing Ge, the Demon General were just a short distance apart, while it was Marquis of An Hai who spun up from an inconspicuous corner of the ground, far away from them.

So, although Marquis of An Hai had seized a very good opportunity, there was still ample ti for Pu Qu, the Demon Marshal, to react.

Within his agate-like eyes, a gleam flashed, instantly revealing a crystal light.

Suddenly, a formidable presence carrying astonishing strength transford into a beam of black light, blocking in front of Qing Ge.

As the black light neared, striking the rain curtain ford by the droplets, ripples surfaced, and the curtain shook violently. It burst like a bubble being pricked, reverting back into a sky full of droplets, falling down.

The black light’s force was undiminished, as it shot again into Marquis of An Hai’s Dao Domain.

Thunderous echoes resonated, a strange force emanating from the black light, allowing it to traverse the Dao Domain unimpeded.

The Divine Demon Body that Pu Qu, the Demon Marshal, had cultivated was called the Blood God Body.

The greatest marvel of the Blood God Body lay in the third eye between the brows—Blood God Pupils—capable of attack, defense, and many supportive Divine Skills.

This beam of black light, shot from the Blood God Pupils, continued to advance within An Hai’s Dao Domain; though much of its power dissipated due to the force of the Dao Domain, a substantial amount remained and eventually struck Marquis of An Hai.

On the surface of Marquis of An Hai’s body, a magic artifact in the form of a protective amulet flashed brightly, conjuring a defensive power to fend off the black light.

Hiss!

Upon contact, roaring resonated as violent vibrations sounded, ripples visibly scattering from the point of contact, layer by layer.

In the blink of an eye, hundreds of waves of confrontation had passed before the black light finally dissipated completely.

It was at that mont, when the black light vanished, that Marquis of An Hai spat out a mouthful of blood and was thrown backward.

It wasn’t that he was weak, but rather his injuries were too severe, his condition was poor, and furthermore, the strike from Pu Qu, the Demon Marshal, was not a casual one, but one of his powerful moves.

However, Marquis of An Hai quickly stabilized his figure and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, a fierce light flashing in his eyes, while the corner of his eye covertly glanced in Lu Qingshan’s direction.

He hesitated in the shadows for a long ti, debating whether to make a move.

The last straw that broke the cal’s back was seeing the Green Snake Sword Qi that Lu Qingshan had executed.

With Marquis of An Hai’s keen vision, he could naturally see the exceptional power of this Green Snake Sword Qi.

A Fifth Realm Sword Cultivator could actually execute a move of such caliber.

This indicated that Lu Qingshan must be a genius-level young cultivator.

His savior, the hero of Falling Goose Pass, a genius Sword Cultivator—these three factors combined, along with the last and most critical point—Marquis of An Hai’s moral baseline, finally propelled him to make a bold move.

“Indeed, I wasn’t wrong about this lad; he’s soone of note,” Marquis of An Hai sighed in relief after seeing the situation over where Lu Qingshan was.

Boom!

A Flying Sword sped through the rain curtain at hundredfold the speed of sound, so fast that it generated a bolt of thunder-fire. Everywhere the Flying Sword passed, raindrops the size of soybeans completely evaporated.

The force of the Flying Sword was as grand as a dragon snake swimming through water.

Yet, this Flying Sword that raised such trendous energy was not aid at Qing Ge, but instead flew away into the distance.

It was an escape, not an attack.

Disappearing along with the Flying Sword was also Lu Qingshan’s figure.

Formless Sword Escape!

Yes, from the instant Marquis of An Hai appeared, Lu Qingshan had imdiately employed the Formless Sword Escape, working with the Flying Sword to swiftly leave the battlefield.

The process was seamlessly connected without the slightest delay.

To put it plainly…

Was it really that smooth?

Sword Cultivators advocate “advancent without retreat,” true, but what should never retreat is conviction, not anything else.

If one were to act this way in all matters, that wouldn’t make one a Sword Cultivator, but a stick in the mud.

The reason Lu Qingshan didn’t flee earlier and chose to fight Qing Ge to the death was because Pu Qu, the Demon Marshal, was there, leaving him with no way to escape.

But now it was different.

Although Lu Qingshan couldn’t imdiately understand why Marquis of An Hai would suddenly erge at this ti,

undoubtedly, Marquis of An Hai’s appearance had tied up Pu Qu, the Demon Marshal.

This also gave him a slim chance to escape.

If there’s a way out, who would choose death?

As for whether it would be inappropriate to run after Marquis of An Hai had saved him—that would be utter madness.

Putting aside the high probability that Marquis of An Hai intervened to save him, even if he stayed put, what could he do?

Could a re Fifth Realm Sword Cultivator join forces with an Integration Cultivator to fight against a Seventh Grade Demon Marshal and a Sixth Grade Demon General?
