Bella’s POV
A sleek vehicle pulled up beside us, and from it erged a woman who imdiately commanded attention. Her crimson hair fell in calculated waves around her shoulders, contrasting sharply with her form-fitting black dress that left little to the imagination. Every detail of her appearance scread deliberate perfection, from her razor-sharp eyeliner to her blood-red lipstick that matched her confident smirk. Even in towering heels, she moved with predatory grace toward Parker.
I remained frozen in place, watching this tableau unfold. Parker stood surrounded by his children and this striking woman, his eyes darting nervously between her and . "What brings you here?" His voice carried an edge of tension I recognized all too well.
"The little ones were asking for their daddy constantly, so I thought I’d surprise you," she replied smoothly, gesturing toward the children with practiced ease.
Tara’s small fingers found mine, squeezing tight as she sensed the shift in atmosphere. The tension was thick enough to cut.
"I was actually planning to head back soon, but I appreciate you bringing them by," Parker responded, his words carefully asured as he crouched to embrace his children.
The sight of this perfect family unit made my stomach churn. While I had been struggling alone, raising our daughter in exile, he had been living this comfortable lie. The betrayal cut deeper than any physical wound.
"You haven’t introduced to your colleague from Human Territory," the woman observed, her gaze finally settling on with calculating interest. Her smile beca predatory as recognition flickered in her eyes.

Each word was a carefully aid dagger, designed to maximize damage. She painted a picture of my desperation that made my cheeks burn with sha and fury.
"I need to get back to my children," I managed, refusing to give her the satisfaction of seeing break.
"Oh yes, your daughter," Moon’s gaze shifted to Tara with barely concealed disdain. "Such a sha she doesn’t have a father figure in her life."
My hands clenched into fists as protective rage surged through .
"Moon," Parker’s voice carried a warning, but I didn’t need his intervention.
"She has a father, along with siblings who adore her. Your concern is touching, though I must say, so things never change. The mont you opened your mouth, I rembered exactly who you were. Still that sa bitter person hiding behind expensive clothes and makeup. Money really can’t buy class, can it?"
My words hit their mark. Moon’s composure cracked as she turned to Parker for backup, her face flushed with indignation.
The tension might have continued escalating if not for Tara’s innocent intervention. My brave little girl stepped forward, smiling at Parker’s daughters with genuine warmth.
"Would you like to be friends?" she asked with the pure hope only children possess.
My heart ached knowing how different things were here compared to Human Territory, where she had been surrounded by love and acceptance.
"Absolutely not," Moon snapped with vicious certainty, causing Tara to retreat behind my legs in confusion. "My daughters only associate with children of their own standing. Perhaps you should find more appropriate companions for her. She clearly needs better influences."
White-hot fury exploded through my chest. "How dare you speak to my child that way."
"That’s enough," Parker’s voice cut through the hostility like a blade. "Moon, get back in the car. Now."
But the damage was done. I lifted Tara into my arms and brushed past Moon, making sure she felt the full weight of my contempt in that final glance.
"Do you realize what you’ve done? She’s here helping with a critical situation. What is wrong with you?" Parker’s angry voice followed us, but I didn’t look back.
Once we were safely in our vehicle, I pulled Tara close, studying her small face for signs of lasting hurt.
"That lady was very an, Mommy. But Uncle Parker seems nice," she whispered against my shoulder.
My heart shattered at her innocent words. She had no idea that her beloved "Uncle Parker" was anything but the hero she imagined him to be.
