An Jincheng was finally rescued. The ransom was paid, and the case was later solved. The An Family didn’t suffer any losses because of it, except that An Jincheng endured so abuse and sustained so injuries. He was laying in the Sanqiu Group’s private hospital, receiving an IV drip.
During his convalescence, besides his parents, only An Youxuan ca to visit him.
Emotions surged wildly within this segnt of mory.
"Brother... you, you’re willing to see ?"
In the hospital room, An Jincheng looked incredulously at An Youxuan. An Youxuan’s expression remained as stern as ever, but his eyes were red:
"How could I possibly not co to see you after sothing this serious happened? Ah Cheng, you can do whatever you want, but since you made that choice years ago, I won’t interfere. You can treat this world as your playground. No matter how many absurd things you do in the eyes of others, it doesn’t matter."
"But you must pay attention to your own safety!"
An Jincheng was stunned, unsure of what to say for a mont.
An Youxuan sat beside the hospital bed and made a gesture that An Jincheng would rember for life. The older brother, who seed solely devoted to the Sanqiu Group and self-improvent... he gently poked his younger brother’s forehead with his finger.
Just like in the comic story he wanted to share many years ago, where the older brother did the sa to his younger brother before dying.
"Promise , Ah Cheng, this will be the last ti."
An Youxuan gave a smile, a man once described by the dia as the most serious in all of Jicheng, could indeed smile. Tears quickly filled An Jincheng’s eyes; his brother had actually read that comic.
Back then, he had recomnded those comics to his brother. His brother didn’t really find them boring; he just hoped his younger brother could fulfill his potential instead of wasting it.
Yet in private, his brother silently rembered what his younger brother recomnded and, even with ti constraints every day, still made ti to read those now seemingly childish comics.
He even rembered the older brother’s gestures in the story because those were the things his younger brother liked.
An Youxuan wouldn’t dare to judge whether it was right for the older brother in the story to sacrifice the clan for the village, but at least, the sentint of bearing everything for his younger brother was shared.
An Youxuan softly said:
"I’m a foolish brother. Even back in our school days, I knew I didn’t have your talent; it should have been giving up."
"But since you made your choice... I felt I had to work harder, using every minute and every second to surpass grandpa."
"Ah Cheng... I’m about to change the world. So you mustn’t get into trouble again."
An Jincheng bawled loudly, crying for his misjudgnt. It turned out his brother had never forgotten those words from their childhood.
The world is wrong, don’t doubt yourself, beco strong to change the world, to right these wrongs.
So many people aren’t qualified to say this, but An Youxuan was. Even so, it required an extraordinary amount of effort to fulfill those words.
During this process, he was bound to beco lonely, endure misunderstandings, and face unprecedented pressure.
An Jincheng kept apologizing, and An Youxuan gently stroked his little brother’s hair:
"You have never wronged . You are the most generous person in this world; you gave everything to . Ah Cheng, I hope my efforts can be worthy of your sacrifices."
An Jincheng said:
"Brother, what if the kidnappers didn’t ask for a specific amount... but demanded you give up the Sanqiu Group?"
An Jincheng was just joking. He now felt like a child who got away with sothing. Though his heart was bursting with joy, he couldn’t help asking questions.
An Youxuan shook his head:
"Why make such assumptions? Little brother, I won’t let you be in such danger again."
Deep down, both brothers were making concessions for each other.
When the younger brother thought his elder brother craved the power and wealth of the Sanqiu Group, he started to fall into debauchery.
When the elder brother thought the younger brother couldn’t bear the scheming and deceit, he doubled his efforts to make the world a playground for his younger brother.
This pair of brothers didn’t end up turning against each other as in many stories.
Their relationship was pure, unlike what would be expected in a family of wealth and power. Wen Xishu hadn’t expected to see such brotherhood in this thread.
After the kidnapping incident, An Jincheng had beco much more sensible. Though he still maintained the appearance of a playboy, leaving grandpa no other option, he no longer did things that brought sha to the family or embarrassed his brother.
He transford from a child longing for his brother’s attention to a sensible one who no longer caused trouble for his brother.
If there were no apocalypse, if there were no Scorpio, if Old Master An Rongzai of the Sanqiu Group could accept a normal death...
Perhaps in the future, the top financial conglorate in Jicheng would attempt to change the world. Perhaps these brothers could break the fate of countless siblings in top financial conglorates.
But fate did not spare these brothers.
...
...
Only a brief mont had passed in ti.
After experiencing the mories within An Jincheng’s spiritual barrage, Wen Xishu suddenly found himself a bit out of control. An uncontrollable emotion surged from the depths of his heart. This emotion did not stem from anything else but this body’s original mories.
As Wen Xishu felt the mories of the An Family Brothers, he also simultaneously felt other mories.
