"What's going on? This is clearly a… dead city? Looks like it hasn't been inhabited for a long ti," Cannon was surprised.

"It's dayti now. Maybe that saying is right."
Canon asked,
"What saying?"

Night Demon looked around,

Night Demon looked to the sky,
"There are three hours and fifty minutes until nightfall."
Cynical Cosmos Daisy remarked,
"This place looks like it has truly encountered the apocalypse. If the blood clan really abandoned the day… then is this plan truly considered saving humanity?"
Wen Xishu said,
"After all, there's nothing to do right now. It seems that there's no living person in this city; why don't we check out these houses?"
Wen Xishu pointed to a very luxurious, yet eerily old house, one that could probably be used to shoot detective films if refurbished, like the house of the detective on Baker Street 221B.
Soon, the group went to this house.
The door was locked, but for the assassins, it wasn't an obstacle; Canon soon picked it:
"You know, I'm passionate about the arts, even lockpicking is an art."
Canon pushed the door open.
The air was as stagnant as ancient grave soil, carrying a scent mixed with dried roses, old book pages, and so indescribable faint mustiness resembling a damp cold stone cavity.
Canon felt like he was entering a tomb infused with air freshener.
The hall floor was thickly covered in dust. A dressing mirror stood nearby, but it was blurred beyond recognition…
The dust made the reflection of Wen Xishu and others in the mirror appear very distorted.
The light in the house was very dim; it was only because Canon opened the door that so light managed to co in.
Just as Canon was about to close the door, Night Demon suddenly said,
"No! Don't close the door."
Canon halted. The door didn't completely close, leaving a slit open.
The light through the slit looked like a serpent.
Because the door was almost closed, the entrance to the living room looked like a gaping black hole.
The sunlight penetrating the hall had exhausted its strength, unable to reach the depths of the darkness.
Canon intended to open the door, but this door… suddenly seed to have a will of its own, or pushed by so eerie force.
Suddenly, the whole door slamd shut.
Absolute darkness spread.
Canon tried to open the door, only to find he didn't touch the doorknob but sothing extrely cold.
The texture felt like tree bark but also like human skin.
Night Demon seed to have sensed sothing and shouted,
"Canon! Be careful! It's right in front of you!"
Everyone was startled; they couldn't feel any presence at all and didn't know what was happening.
Gulp.
The sound of blood being consud ca, and the terror in the darkness bit Canon's neck in an instant.
