Gu Shengyin’s sleepiness vanished in an instant.
She glanced at Ludwig and said composedly, “I’ll go freshen up first.”
Soon, she ca out, and the two sat facing each other.
“Keyi, you know my feelings for you,” Ludwig looked at her earnestly, “I hope you can accept .”
Gu Shengyin gave him a look. Indeed, for the past six months, Ludwig had done more than enough.
Gu Shengyin tilted her head and probed him, “So, you say you like . What kind of like is it, exactly?”
...
Ludwig looked at Gu Shengyin with so disbelief. What, what did she an by that?
“Of course, I want to marry you, to spend a lifeti with you, that kind of like. No, it’s love, I love you,” Ludwig declared with deep emotion.
Gu Shengyin looked at him with a bit of disdain, “I can’t see your sincerity.”
Ludwig beca sowhat anxious, “No, Keyi, I swear, my heart for you is absolutely loyal and true. You might laugh at but before you, I had never been moved by any woman, nor did I know how to pursue a girl. Perhaps I did not do well enough sowhere, but you must believe in my feelings for you.”
Gu Shengyin listened quietly to him until he finished, without making a sound.
Ludwig felt he had never been so nervous before; he stared intently at Gu Shengyin, hoping she would respond to his words, yet fearing to hear rciless rejection from those rosy lips.
Gu Shengyin saw he had been teased by her enough and finally decided to show him rcy.
She furrowed her brows in feigned confusion, “I see… But I’ve heard that when people confess, they kneel on one knee and offer a ring.”
Ludwig took two seconds to mock the implication in Gu Shengyin’s words.
Then, almost ecstatic, he stood up, embraced Gu Shengyin, and kissed her fiercely twice.
“You wait; I’ll have them send the ring over this afternoon!”
For the whole day, Ludwig stayed in Gu Shengyin’s apartnt, the two of them sitting together quietly, occasionally talking and sharing sweet kisses.
When the doorbell rang, Ludwig was wearing an apron making dinner for Gu Shengyin.
Gu Shengyin got up to open the door.
It was a blonde, blue-eyed foreigner she didn’t recognize.
“Who are you?” Gu Shengyin asked warily.
Hearing her, Ludwig ca out, “Don’t worry, I had him co over.”
Gu Shengyin noticed that the man’s expression seed to twist for a mont when he saw Ludwig in an apron.
The man handed Ludwig a box and the two whispered sothing to each other before the foreigner left.
“Keyi, you go wait in the bedroom and co out after ten minutes,” Ludwig instructed.
Having guessed what the man was planning, Gu Shengyin obediently walked into the bedroom.
She waited until Ludwig called her out.
The table was set with an exquisitely made dinner, but what caught Gu Shengyin’s attention was the man standing beside the dinner table.
In his arms, he held a bunch of vibrant roses, looking at her with deep affection.
“Because of ti constraints, I can’t provide a perfect marriage proposal ceremony,” Ludwig sounded sowhat regretful, “but I can’t wait any longer, Keyi.”
He knelt on one knee and slowly reached out a hand to Gu Shengyin.
In his hand, there was an antique-looking jewelry box with a dazzling erald ring shining brightly inside.
