Gu Shengyin actually would have preferred to stay in bed for an entire morning, but Sophia wasn’t about to give her the chance.
"Dear Tiana, this is our last sester in school. Don’t waste the holiday," Sophia insisted on dragging her out from under the covers.
Gu Shengyin groggily sat up from the bed. Her soft, golden hair was slightly tousled, her big blue eyes were filled with bewildernt, and her rosy lips were slightly pouted, making her look completely dazed.
Sophia looked at her once, then again, unable to resist leaning down to give her a kiss on her fair, tender cheek.
This woke Gu Shengyin up quite a bit.
Though still not fully awake, she stared blankly at Sophia, "What are you doing?"
Sophia clutched her chest, gazing at Gu Shengyin, and exclaid, "My dear Tiana, if I were a man, I’d give it everything to marry you! You’re just too cute!"
Gu Shengyin couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Then, urged by Sophia, she got herself ready, and the two of them left the school together.
Outside, there was already a floating car waiting.
Gu Shengyin glanced at it, feeling sowhat unfamiliar as it definitely wasn’t from Sophia’s household.
She hesitated, stopping in her tracks, just as a tall man with black hair stepped out.
Upon seeing Gu Shengyin, a flash of amazent crossed his eyes, but he quickly retracted his gaze, offering a gentle smile, "Hello, Miss Leonard, I am Winter Allen."
With that, Gu Shengyin imdiately recognized who this man was.
Allen, who had an extrely high genetic compatibility with Sophia.
Judging by their interaction, it was clear they got along very well.
She cast a teasing glance at Sophia.
Even though she didn’t say a word, Sophia couldn’t help but blush.
Fortunately, Sophia was always carefree and soon adjusted her mood, proudly bragging to Count Allen, "Didn’t I tell you? Tiana is both beautiful and gentle."
Hearing this, Gu Shengyin couldn’t help but hold her forehead: who flaunts their friend’s beauty in front of their boyfriend? Sophia really is carefree.
She instinctively glanced at Count Allen.
Sure enough, when he heard Sophia’s words, a look of helplessness flashed in his eyes.
However, he didn’t look at Gu Shengyin; instead, he focused intently on Sophia.
Gu Shengyin could easily see the affection this man had for Sophia.
Then she saw Count Allen smile and even nod, saying, "Yes. Miss Leonard is indeed very beautiful and gentle."
Though he spoke of Miss Leonard, his gaze was entirely on Sophia.
Gu Shengyin: "..."
She couldn’t bear to watch!
Did Sophia invite her along just to make her envious of their relationship?
Didn’t she know that too much of this could easily end a friendship?
Despite her complaints, Gu Shengyin was genuinely happy for Sophia.
This Count Allen seed to be quite a good man.
Sophia dragged Gu Shengyin around the central area of the Imperial Capital for shopping. Both of them were quite well-off, so they bought whatever they liked, while the ever-smiling Count Allen dutifully played the role of the porter, carrying bags behind them.
Eventually, Sophia couldn’t help but announce she was tired.
They had been walking on foot all day. For soone who had just reached adulthood and wasn’t accustod to walking much — like a rmaid — shopping on foot was really not an easy task.
"Shall we sit over there?" Sophia pointed to a nearby square.
Gu Shengyin, not feeling tired, nodded.
As the three were about to head to the square across the street, a floating car suddenly stopped in front of them.
"Miss Leonard." A gentle voice ca from the open car window.
