Madam Raymond, upon hearing this, instructed the servants to uncover the dishes.
In an instant, a srizing aroma filled the entire dining room.
"This... is simply incredible!" Madam Raymond exclaid, gazing at the enticing dishes on the table.
Sophia was more direct; she sniffed the air and imdiately gave Gu Shengyin a thumbs-up: "Dear Tiana, I never knew your culinary skills were so excellent!"
Even though they hadn’t tasted the dishes yet, the aroma assured them of their delightful flavors.
It was already dinner ti, so they naturally didn’t delay any further and sat down to savor the al.
In this world, there were no rules against speaking during als or sleep, and their way of offering praise was unabashedly showering complints.
After eating a piece of tofu, Madam Raymond bead at Gu Shengyin and said, "Dear Tiana, I swear this is the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life."
"Even the exclusive chefs of the Imperial Family don’t have skills as good as yours."
Sophia marveled at each dish she tasted.
"Tiana, it’s so unfair! You never told us you were such a fantastic cook!" she pretended to be annoyed.
Gu Shengyin was helpless: "Actually, I only used to secretly try cooking for myself, and this is the first ti I’ve cooked for anyone else."
Upon hearing this, Sophia sighed again, saying she was so outstanding it could almost make a rmaid envious.
Although Raymond didn’t continuously shower complints like the other two, his steady eating indicated his approval.
After dinner, it was ti for Gu Shengyin and Sophia to head ho.
Madam Raymond held their hands, exchanged a few words, and repeatedly invited them to co again before letting them leave.
Once outside, Gu Shengyin noticed that Count Allen was already waiting there.
Sophia quickly walked over to Count Allen, turned back, and waved at them with a smile: "Allen ca to pick up, so there’s no need to trouble His Excellency the Marshal!"
Count Allen nodded at the two of them in acknowledgent.
Seeing her fiancé personally co to pick her up, Gu Shengyin didn’t say much and got into Raymond’s levitating car.
The two sat silently in the car.
After a long while, Raymond broke the silence.
"My mother really likes you."
Gu Shengyin smiled at the words: "I also like Auntie very much; she truly is a charming woman."
Raymond glanced at her slightly.
The petite girl sat gracefully on the soft seat, her profile calm and serene, enough to bring tranquility to anyone who looked at her.
Raymond was montarily lost in thought.
"Don’t zone out; you’re still driving?" she turned her calm face towards him with a smile.
Raymond’s eyes dimd slightly.
"It’s fine," he said, "I’ve set it to autonomous driving mode."
Gu Shengyin: "..." Well, this world is quite advanced.
Then she t Raymond’s intent gaze.
Raymond’s Adam’s apple moved slightly.
He looked at Gu Shengyin, and softly called out, "Tiana."
Gu Shengyin responded equally softly.
The atmosphere in the car suddenly turned tender and ambiguous.
Raymond looked at her, saying, "Have I never properly said sothing to you before?"
Gu Shengyin tilted her head, looking at him: "What?"
"I like you."
