Everything here seems to defy common sense.
Fragnts of rock float in the void, with endless fierce winds erging from the emptiness.
Gu Shengyin looked downward, feeling as though she existed in the void—beneath her feet and above her head, the scene was identical, and beneath her was indeed an endless void, yet she felt as if she was standing on solid ground.
All of this felt quite novel.
But accompanying this novelty was often endless danger.
From the mont Gu Shengyin entered this space rift, her body’s energy automatically ford a transparent shield around her, protecting her entirety.
The fierce winds and stone fragnts couldn’t reach her, but Gu Shengyin could distinctly feel the power contained within them.
Very powerful.
Gu Shengyin knew clearly that if she were her newly born self, encountering such power, she would likely turn to dust on the spot.
There was no path in the void.
But Gu Shengyin felt as though compelled by so guiding force, heading forward in a particular direction.
Since there was no road, naturally there was no end in sight.
Gu Shengyin didn’t know how far she needed to walk to exit this space rift, but she knew as long as she kept moving forward, there would certainly be an exit.
Once she reached that exit, she’d understand everything, including finding that man.
Her steps were slow.
Not intentionally so, but because the fierce winds and stone fragnts from the void, the imnse invisible pressure, slamd against her like a mountain.
She simply couldn’t speed up as she walked forward.
Moreover, with every step she took, Gu Shengyin could feel that the pressure from the void increased.
Each step beca more arduous.
After walking for who knows how long, she realized she’d reached her limit.
By this point, the hem of her robe had been shredded into pieces by the infiltrating fierce wind, her hands had been cut with bloodied marks.
Her breathing was sowhat restrained, and she lifted her foot, unable to take another step forward.
Gu Shengyin raised her head to gaze ahead—there was still an expanse of nothingness, no one knowing how much further it extended.
Gu Shengyin didn’t know either, but she could feel that it was certainly not the exit, this path was long, very long.
She drew back, resolutely turned around, and began to walk backward.
She never intended to walk out of there in just one attempt.
After enduring increasingly powerful pressure and destructive forces ahead, the path back beca exceptionally easy.
The pitch-black space rift always existed within this Pure White Space, becoming the only color within.
Until Gu Shengyin stepped out from it.
At the mont she left, the black rift vanished instantly without a trace.
Before her, the void appeared again, as if that devouring rift had never existed.
But looking downward at her own disheveled state, everything proved that all of it had truly happened.
She shifted her thoughts, her attire instantly changed, and the wounds on her arms began to heal visibly.
"It seems, I’m still far from it." She sighed softly.
Turning to the system that had been standing by all along, Gu Shengyin’s gaze softened: "Let’s continue the mission, system."
"Yes, host."
