Gu Shengyin could hear them clearly, the childish one belonged to Xi Lili, and the mature one must have been from the person she had just been confronting.
Gu Shengyin saw a wisp of dark spirit wander out from Xi Lili’s body, dancing unwillingly in the air for a mont before dissipating like smoke.
She breathed a sigh of relief, the threat finally resolved.

She slowly approached the lying body of Xi Lili, taking out a bottle of Spring of Life from her sleeve and gently pouring it over the wound on her chest.

Gu Shengyin carried the small figure of Xi Lili away.
Yet, she did not notice that after she left, a fine black mist appeared where there had been nothing before.
The mist coalesced into the form of a face in mid-air, glancing hatefully in the direction Gu Shengyin had left before drifting far away.
