Father Song suddenly had a thought: Wouldn’t a normal person’s first reaction to what he had said be to uncover the truth? After all, if there had indeed been a mix-up, it would an his biological daughter had been separated from him for so many years; how could he not be even a little curious or anxious? Who could assert so firmly that this situation was impossible?
Besides, if Mr. and Mrs. An treasured their daughter like a precious gem, that would be one thing, but they clearly did not like Qinyu, their youngest daughter. Why were they trying so hard to obstruct?

“I’m willing to do the paternity test with you,” she declared, clearly enunciating each word.
Mother An was stunned for a mont, then exploded, “An Qinyu, you ungrateful wretch, I’ve truly raised you in vain for so many years…”
“Mom.” Gu Shengyin stood calmly to one side, her expression serene, “In all conscience, have you really ever treated as your daughter over these years?”
