At night, more than half of the Beastn of the Owl Clan gathered together, focusing on a battle between warriors.
Clan Leader Tamon had always been the first warrior within the clan, but everyone had seen Ovis’s progress over the past year. Moreover, he was following Lord Wu Luo...
Just this fact alone was enough to prevent all the Beastn from underestimating him—everyone knew that Lord Wu Luo’s thods were not sothing ordinary Beastn could conceive of. If Ovis had received her teachings and beco very powerful, they could all understand why.
Gu Shengyin was invited to sit on the highest platform in the center, looking down on this battle.
She actually didn’t need to watch to know the outco; no one understood Ovis’s true strength better than her—he had already surpassed the limits of physical power possible for an ordinary Beastman.
At first, the two contenders were probing each other in human form, but it didn’t take long for the combative nature of the Beastn to be aroused, and they both revealed their beast forms.
Tamon’s beast form was a Titan, a trendously powerful wild beast, one of the kings of the forest.
His beast form was extrely tall, with a dark body. The most eye-catching feature was his long and powerful arms, with sharp claws hidden beneath his palms.
No one dared to ignore the strength of a mature Titan.
However, everyone’s attention was drawn to the other massive beast.
Even Gu Shengyin, though she had seen Ovis’s beast form before, still felt dazzled every ti she witnessed it.
The quietly standing lion, with its pure golden long fur, appeared as if its whole body was bathed in light under the reflection of the bonfire. Its body was agile and graceful, and its dark gold vertical pupils coldly stared at its opponent, resembling the Divine Beast from tribal myths—symbolic of rcy and power.
Many female beasts cast fascinated yet sorrowful glances at Ovis; among them, quite a few had once shown affection toward Ovis, yet were invariably t with his cold rejection.
Ovis felt a gaze land on him, and he knew whose it was—the only person he cared about.
Unconsciously tensing his body, Ovis silently swore that he would definitely win this battle spectacularly.
"Roar!" The two massive beasts roared and tangled together.
The spectating Beastn each let out excited cheers; for them, watching such a fierce battle was a hugely honorable thing.
"I lost."
The black Titan spoke in a deep voice.
The gigantic Golden Lion was pressing down on him, its sharp fangs positioned at his neck.
Tamon had no doubts that if they were in the jungle, facing an enemy, those fangs would have already severed his throat.
Ovis released the Clan Leader, moved aside, and gradually reverted to human form.
The first thing he did was look toward Gu Shengyin on the platform above; seeing the admiration in the High Priest’s eyes, his ears involuntarily twitched, a reaction to the extre excitent he felt inside.
Tamon also reverted to human form and, despite having been defeated by Ovis, seed very happy.
"Good boy, impressive!" he laughed heartily and slapped Ovis forcefully on the shoulder.
The stronger the young Beastn in the clan, the better it was for the Owl Clan, and Tamon did not feel ashad of losing.
If it really ca down to a contest of strength, there was still a High Priest in the clan whose power was so great it commanded awe.
