Chapter 93: Chapter 93: The Legendary Genius Junior Ancestor VS White Lotus Outer Sect Junior Sister (Part 7)
“Senior Brother, be careful!” The frail woman widened her eyes as she watched the scene ahead.
A man clad in the Inner Sect attire of the Astrolabe Sword Sect was struggling against a wolf-shaped Monster Beast; clearly, the man was sowhat overwheld.
Despite this, he continued to struggle desperately and shouted to the woman in white standing aside, “Junior Sister Bai, you must get out of here!”
Gu Shengyin stood hidden to one side, watching the scene unfold, observing Bai Xinya, who stood motionless.
Hmm, she’s quite a beauty with average aptitude. I can’t understand what charm she possesses that makes so many n die for her.
If it were only Bai Xinya, Gu Shengyin might have thought it better to let her perish in the jaws of the beast, but the man was a disciple of the Astrolabe Sword Sect, and as a fellow sect mber, she couldn’t simply stand by.
...
Zhao Ximing was an Inner Sect Disciple of the Astrolabe Sword Sect. Today, he had finally managed to get his beloved out for a stroll, only to encounter the Fourth Order Howling Sky Wolf.
Seeing the frightened look on Bai Xinya’s face, Zhao Ximing felt a surge of boldness within him, thinking that shielding such a fine lady like Junior Sister Bai from harm was what a true man should do!
If Gu Shengyin could hear his thoughts at that mont, she might regret saving him.
Bai Xinya, seeing that Zhao Ximing was faltering and loudly urging her to leave, thought to herself that staying would only add to her Senior Brother’s troubles. Maybe it was better to follow his advice and quickly go for help.
She wasn’t rely striving for survival! With this thought, Bai Xinya felt even more justified.
She turned and left, not even giving Zhao Ximing a second glance.
A radiant sword light, like a galactic river accompanied by an icy chill, struck the Howling Sky Wolf.
There was no struggle, no resistance, a one-hit kill.
Not even a drop of blood was spilled—Gu Shengyin’s Sword Qi had completely frozen the wolf.
Zhao Ximing was stunned for a mont before realizing what had happened and bowed to Gu Shengyin.
“Zhao Ximing of the Astrolabe Sword Sect thanks you for saving my life,” he said as he looked up at Gu Shengyin.
Then, he was completely transfixed.
How could there be such a woman in the world! Standing there, she seed to cleanse the very air around her.
His gaze was too direct, Gu Shengyin gave him a brief glance.
Zhao Ximing then ca back to his senses, his face flushed as he lowered his head, not daring to look at Gu Shengyin again.
At that mont, noticing that there was a turn in events, Bai Xinya also slowly approached and bowed gracefully, “Junior Bai Xinya of the Astrolabe Sword Sect thanks you for saving our lives.”
She then looked at Zhao Ximing, her eyes quickly brimming with tears: “Senior Brother Zhao, I’m glad you’re alright.”
Gu Shengyin didn’t look at her but turned to Zhao Ximing and said, “A friend who cannot share adversity with you in tis of danger is not worth your trust.”
Having said her piece, she transford into a flash of sword light and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
She had said what needed to be said; what Zhao Ximing would do next was none of her concern.
Bai Xinya inwardly cursed, wondering who this unknown woman in white was to speak such potentially relationship-wrecking words.
Thinking this, her expression turned tearful, and she said to Zhao Ximing, “Senior Brother, my departure was only to seek help from the sect, not to escape alone.”
Zhao Ximing’s expression changed uncertainly, unaware of what to think. Hearing Bai Xinya’s words, he then smiled tenderly, “Of course, I trust that Junior Sister Bai is not such a person.”
Relieved by his words, Bai Xinya nestled gently against Zhao Ximing and spoke as if offhandedly, “I don’t know why that predecessor had to say such devastating words—could it be that I have offended her sowhere else?”
Zhao Ximing remained silent, but his eyes suddenly flashed with coldness.
