Heddy eventually left the City Lord’s Mansion sowhat awkwardly.
Clearly, the person opposite hadn’t done anything, yet she felt as if she were utterly transparent before her, with even the deepest secrets in her heart laid bare.
This must be an illusion.
Yet this illusion felt so real, making her uneasy.
Instincts told Heddy she should stay away from that woman.
Gu Shengyin watched Heddy leave with a smile.
Her most urgent task now was to quickly restore her divine power and gather faith. As for Heddy, she was rely an ordinary human.
Without Karrus’s unconditional indulgence, she couldn’t stir up even a tiny ripple.
The City Lord’s Mansion acted swiftly.
After resting for a night, by the ti Gu Shengyin got up well-rested, the City Lord was already waiting outside.
"Oracle, everything you requested has been prepared," said the Lord of Sea Blue City, a hint of urgency in his gaze as he saw her.
"The City Lord is kind and virtuous." Gu Shengyin noticed the red veins in his eyes, realizing he probably hadn’t slept all night.
With a gentle movent of her magic wand, a gentle energy flowed into the City Lord’s body.
The Lord of Sea Blue City felt a wave of comfort, the exhaustion from one sleepless night vanished instantly.
"Thank you, Oracle." The Lord of Sea Blue City sincerely thanked her.
Gu Shengyin returned a smile.
In the course of their conversation, they had arrived at their destination.
It was rely a tall little building.
Due to ti constraints, the materials used were the easiest to obtain—wood.
The nine hundred and ninety-nine steps spiraled upward, with a high platform at the top.
Gu Shengyin’s destination.
"Please wait for here, City Lord," Gu Shengyin said, and then she slowly climbed the stairs alone.
Her steps were leisurely, yet not slow at all, and in the blink of an eye, she reached the top.
It was empty here, with nothing around.
The Lord of Sea Blue City stood nervously below; he had no idea what the other party was up to and whether she could really solve the current crisis of Sea Blue City as she claid.
Footsteps sounded behind him; it was Roy, who had co upon hearing the news.
A gentle breeze blew towards Gu Shengyin, raising her wide sleeves high, as if she were about to be carried away by the wind.
Holding her magic wand high, Gu Shengyin closed her eyes and began to chant a curse incantation slowly and softly.
Her voice was light and gentle, standing at such a high place where it shouldn’t be audible.
Yet the Lord of Sea Blue City at the bottom of the building heard it, Roy heard it, the attendants in the City Lord’s Mansion heard it, and the people of the entire Sea Blue Province heard this chant as beautiful as a song.
No one could understand what was being sung, but everyone knew that this strange lodic chant was praising the great Goddess of Nature.
On the high platform, where no one could see clearly, a circular magic array with a diater of ten ters suddenly ford with Gu Shengyin at the center, the intricate patterns emitting a brilliance that even overshadowed the bright daylight.
Gu Shengyin’s chanting voice grew louder, gradually resonating from each person’s ears to the wind, along the streets, into the sky, surrounding every corner of the entire Sea Blue Province.
As this voice spread, a pale green light erged from the air, omnipresent, quietly flowing past everyone.
