(Inside the Juxta dical wing, Leo’s POV)

Leo had to undergo a thorough dical examination after his Ascension was complete before the doctors cleared him to resu his routine life.

The whole process took a total of two hours, throughout which he wasn’t bothered with any other news.

"I have great news for you, Lord Shadow Dragon, it looks like you’re perfectly healed after your Ascension and that your body has stabilized to the new build.

Congratulations! You’re now a Transcendent!" The head doctor said, as Leo stood up from the examination bed and offered him a firm handshake.

"Thank you doctor, I feel good too, so yeah, I guess the ascension went smoothly." Leo acknowledged, before slipping his robes back over his shoulders and making his way out of the dical wing.

"Now that I’m a Transcendent, I should definitely challenge Dumpy to a sparring match, just to get a feel of how strong I really am as compared to before.

He’s been a Transcendent for a while now and is more talented than most human fighters around...

He’ll be a useful asuring stick." Leo muttered to himself, as he planned to visit Dumpy next, when suddenly, he was interrupted by a Lieutenant, who stood before him like he had an urgent ssage to pass on.

"Sorry to bother you, Lord Shadow Dragon, but I have a ssage for you." The Lieutenant said, as Leo nodded and gestured for him to go on.

"Sir, firstly, Lord Dragon is here.... He arrived approximately four hours ago, and wanted to discuss sothing important with you.

Secondly, a certain ’Su Yang’ from the ’Su’ clan is here to see you, he arrived about six hours ago, and is currently being detained in the holding room.

Finally, Lord Dragon is currently interrogating this Su man, and the two of them have been spotted talking for the last two hours." The Lieutenant inford, as Leo raised an eyebrow in surprise.

Su Yang was here?

And more importantly than that, he was talking to Veyr?

"Alright, I’ll visit them first, I guess—" Leo said, as he tried to downplay his excitent for seeing Su Yang.

However, although he did not let his joy be revealed in front of the soldier, as soon as he was alone, he grinned from ear to ear, as he felt extrely happy at the prospect of getting to see his old friend after such a long ti.

The atmosphere within the holding cell felt tense in a codic way.

As while neither Veyr, nor Su Yang, felt any animosity towards one another, both behaved strangely competitive towards each other, as if the other was their most fierce rival.

"I won the Interstellar Circuits TWICE, That’s two tis.... In case you’re not familiar with the aning of the word twice.

Veyr shot back, as gestured ’steps’ with his hands, to drive the point ho that he was a cut above Su Yang in terms of talent.

"ALRIGHT, LETS DO IT!" Veyr said as he turned and pointed towards the guards that he knew were listening in on the conversation.

"Guards! Guards! Co in here! Free this blonde monkey from his binds, I’m going to beat so respect into his ass." Veyr demanded, as the guards rushed in, with their hands raised in surrender, as they tried their best to defuse the situation.

"CO ON! YOU HEARD HIM, FREE !" Su Yang demanded, as one guard pointed at him angrily, his eyes wide, while the other tried to explain to Veyr that they could not unhand Su Yang for safety purposes.

"I’m sorry Lord Dragon, but I don’t really think it’s wise to let him go free.

There’s no saying what damage he can cause to the base, or what his true intentions are.

I’m afraid, in the absence of Commander Charles, I really cannot unhand him.....

As doing so would violate several military protocols" The guard explained, however, Veyr wanted to hear none of it.

"Fuck the protocols. Also, he’s a fucking Grandmaster, what’s the most he can do? Throw a slash I block with my pinkie?" Veyr mocked, as his insults only agitated Su Yang even more, who now began struggling even harder against his chains.

"Please sir, we need you to be more mature...." The guard begged, however, the overall situation had already devolved into pure chaos, with neither Veyr, nor Yang, looking like they were interested in rationale or reason.
