Mu Shen’s death shocked everyone present on the battlefield, as although everyone already knew of Leo’s reputation for slaying Gods, actually witnessing him take one down before their very eyes was an entirely different experience altogether, leaving even seasoned warriors momentarily stunned by the sheer speed with which the battle’s first casualty had fallen.
’He killed a God just like that?’
Lu Han and Du Trask wondered, as both Gods collectively felt a chill run down their spines, because although it was Mu Shen whose head currently rolled across the battlefield, neither of them could ignore the fact that under those exact same circumstances, it could just as easily have been one of them lying dead upon the ground instead.
However, while they did fear Leo’s speed, that fear was instantly replaced by a predatory sense of opportunity when they saw Leo finally plant his feet on the ground.
*Land*
The second that Leo put his feet on the ground, Mauriss activated the secret formation that he had prepared, as suddenly, Leo felt as though his feet had been glued to the ground.
"It’s done.
He’s taken the bait.
He’s standing on the formation."
Lu Han muttered as excitement gradually surfaced within his eyes.
Almost immediately, he swung his sword and unleashed a slash toward Leo from across the battlefield, not because he genuinely expected the attack to acplish anything meaningful, but because he wanted to confirm whether the formation was functioning as intended.
*SHHHHHK*
The sword slash crossed the battlefield instantly.
Normally, Leo would have simply vanished from sight and reappeared somewhere else entirely.
However, to Lu Han’s delight, that did not happen.
Instead, Leo crossed both daggers before himself and blocked the attack directly.
*BOOOOM*
The impact blasted apart the ground beneath his feet while crimson formation lines glowed brightly around him.
And at that moment, every member of the alliance finally understood something....
That the formation was working as intended.
"What the hell...?"
Leo thought as he immediately sensed something profoundly wrong with his body.
The moment his feet touched the ground, the formation beneath him seemed to e alive.
Invisible currents surged through the crimson lines while enormous quantities of mana and divine essence began draining from his body continuously, as though the planet itself had transformed into a gigantic parasite feeding directly upon him.
He could still move and fight, however every action now demanded significantly more energy than before, as even the simplest movements consumed far more strength than they normally would.
His body felt unnaturally heavy while his reactions slowed noticeably, making it feel as though an invisible weight had been wrapped around every limb.
Even attempting to leave the formation through flight proved impossible, as every effort to rise into the air was immediately suppressed by a powerful force that dragged him relentlessly back toward the ground.
"So this was your plan all along..."
Leo muttered in a low voice as his gaze slowly shifted toward Mauriss.
The Deceiver stood quietly amidst the rain with a wicked smile spread across his face, while Lu Han, Du Trask, Clarence, and Terrence gradually began circling Leo from every direction.
None of them rushed forward recklessly.
None of them underestimated his strength.
Because every one of them understood that this was the single best opportunity they would ever receive to kill the Cult Master.
And none of them intended to waste it.

(Meanwhile, Above The Battlefield)
High above the ruined world, Dumpy found himself pletely overwhelmed by the Dragon King.
*CLANG*
*CLANG*
*CLANG*
Moltherak’s Origin Teeth crashed repeatedly against Dumpy’s Divine Metal swords as every exchange pushed the swamp frog farther backward through the skies, as despite possessing one of the strongest bloodlines in existence, Dumpy still lacked the experience and raw power possessed by an ancient monster like Moltherak.
"You’re still but a fledgling pared to me!"
Moltherak declared boldly, as despite being involved in a high speed battle against Dumpy, the Dragon King still found time to weave spells between the sword strikes, as he launched devastating blasts of Dragonfire directly into Dumpy’s chest, forcing the frog to defend hurriedly before being thrown backward once again.
For several moments, Dumpy fought alone.
And for several moments, he lost ground steadily, as the gap between them was simply too large.
However, fortunately for him, Veyr quickly noticed the situation deteriorating and stepped into the battle without hesitation.
*SWOOOOSH*
A brilliant slash cut across the skies and forced Moltherak to abandon his current attack, as Veyr finally joined the battlefield beside Dumpy and helped relieve some of the pressure bearing down upon him.
As almost immediately, the situation became significantly more manageable.
While neither of them could individually challenge Moltherak head-on, together they were at least capable of slowing him down.
And right now, slowing him down was all they needed.

(Meanwhile, Near Caleb)
Elsewhere on the battlefield, Leonardo, Anderson Silva, and Mickey James desperately attempted to free Caleb from his restraints.
*CLANG*
*CLANG*
*CLANG*
Their attacks struck the chains repeatedly.
However, no matter how much force they applied, the divine restraints simply refused to break.
"Damn it!
What are these things made of?"
Anderson Silva muttered as frustration gradually crept into his voice.
"I hit it with my best shot, my most powerful sword slash, and I could not even dent them."
Mickey James said, as all eyes turned towards Leonardo, who was their last hope to break the bonds.
"The two of you move away, I’ll give this my best shot.
We need to save Caleb fast!
Because there’s no saying when we might get swept away by a stray blast."
Leonardo muttered, as with each passing second the battle around them grew increasingly dangerous.
Divine attacks erupted across the battlefield constantly, shockwaves tore apart continents, while the skies themselves seemed moments away from collapsing entirely.
And perhaps most terrifying of all, Leo now stood surrounded by multiple Gods simultaneously, as even while focusing on freeing Caleb, all three men found themselves repeatedly glancing toward the center of the battlefield, where the oute of the entire war would likely be decided.
Because if Leo fell...
Then nothing else happening on Planet Phoenix Star would matter anymore, as the only option they would have then would be to flee for their lives.
