Jian Liangtong finished speaking and held her breath slightly.
The sound of footsteps rustling ca through the phone.
About ten seconds later, a man’s deep voice ca through, "Hmm."
Jian Liangtong pursed her lips, "Am I disturbing you?"
"What’s up?" he didn’t answer her question directly but asked.
"...I’m off in a couple of days. Can I have Hao Hao stay with for a few days?" Jian Liangtong asked softly, her voice slightly nervous.
Silence on the other end.
Jian Liangtong tightened her grip on the phone, frowned, and said, "I heard you’re going out of town for filming in a few days."
The implication being that he wouldn’t have ti to be with Hao Hao either, so he might as well let her take care of Hao Hao!
"If you want to see Hao Hao, you can do so anyti," Huo Shaojun said.
Jian Liangtong’s eyes lit up, "You agree?"
"Hmm. But." Huo Shaojun’s tone dragged out.
"..." Jian Liangtong’s joyful face slightly tensed, and she asked in a low voice, "But what?"
"You can take Hao Hao out during the day, but at night, you must bring him ho. Can you do that?" Huo Shaojun said.
"No problem."

"Baby, I’m off tomorrow, how about I pick you up for school in the morning?"

"No need. Grandma Xu will take to school."
Upon seeing it, before she could reply, another ssage from Hao Hao ca through.

"Huo Tinghao, you’re noisy!"
Hao Hao, "..." He covered his mouth with his five small fingers.
Dining room.
Hao Hao was feeding himself a vegetable bun while looking at Huo Shaojun sitting across from him, holding a cup of black coffee and reading a newspaper.
His two eyes were wide open, as if he was afraid Huo Shaojun would suddenly disappear.
